I eneded up buying these. Great sound

I am looking forward to this. Ott has made some excellent music in the past and although I didn't love Skylon as an album it did have some excellent tracks in it. I just hope this album is not so reliant on asian vocals as it is a sound that I am not so keen on in psychill, dun etc.

Great ambient -
I got number 323 I have a fondness for the number 3 so I am glad I got some variable of it. Nice haul! You in Matsumoto in Nagano? I've been thinking of getting these myself. Once you've listened to them, do tell us what you think of them

I have a few albums of ATOI, the stuff is quite hard to get into but is pretty classy once you do.

Is that a lot better than Earth? That was pretty weak IMO

I was pondering buying some wireless headphones for while I am in the house. Living in an apartment made of paper I feel sorry for my neighbours so always end up keeping the volume down. Much to my own detriment unfortunately. So I was thinking of getting these sony ones. I have had good experiences with Sony headphones in the past. Has anyone here used these? Are they any good? I tried them on in the shop and they didn't feel like they would be painful after a while but then again I am not going to stand there for 2 hours to check.

The new Ishq is fairly pleasant without really blowing me away But False Mirror comes good again with Derelict World's cover Good but not quite as good as the previous cover North

Yeah, when the need arises I could do with getting more shelves but right now everything is easy enough to find even if it's right at the back. Mine is sorted by genre & label but gets mixed up every now and again and I have to spend a few hours resorting it.

I got this one today Very nice as you'd expect from Ishq. A few tracks I didn't already have. I received these 2 a few days ago Both stunning dark ambient albums from False Mirror I have this Winging its way to me now My bird got me this for Christmas, very nice and inspired me to get the box set above. Steve Roach is an awesome artist but his catalogue is too big for me to complete Speaking of huge Catalogues... Mathias Grassow is a great artist but it's hard to know where to start with such a huge amount he's put out. I have Insights & Inner Path, both stunning and leave me wanting more. Awesome comp, my first psy CD ever

Artist: Androcell Title: Entheomythic Label: Celestial Dragon Records Released: 10 December 2010 Style: Psychill Tracklist 1 Endless Wonder (6:46) 2 Mysterious Union (7:36) 3 Desert Nomad (8:20) 4 Ganja Baba (8:12) 5 Night Sorceress (9:14) 6 Synchromystic (7:36) 7 Higher Circuit Experience (7:31) 8 Full Sail (7:25) 9 Dub Gardens (9:12) Celestial Dragon Records finish an average year somewhat on a high note. Tyler Smith makes some wonderful music as Androcell and it has a very recognisable psychill feel to all of it. Whereas most artists have grown away from this sound into more ambient or IDM styles, Androcell has stayed true to the psychill sound while still progressing his sound. I am sure that some people will complain that this is just more of the same but it is good more of the same but at the same time you can definitely hear progression in his sound. The melodies have grown into a more organic, less plasticky feel and there seems to be nicer bass in the album. Some of the samples sound a little bit too much like Shpongle samples though and for me this is a bit of a disappointment. I have always thought that Simon Posford, as good as he is at making music, has terrible taste in samples. For Androcell to start using similar samples is a little bit scary and I hope he doesn't continue down the bad sample ridden route in the future. As it stands now, they are a minor blip in what are otherwise good tracks. There are definitely some wow moments in here too, especially in the second half of the album which is, in my opinion, better than the first half. The weird cut up vocals in the Night Sorceress create a nice atmosphere, very shamanic: mysterious and ethereal. Synchromystic has some excellent synth work which is subtle but adds a really nice layer to the track taking it from good to great. The slower tracks towards the end are also very much to my liking. I'd like to see what he could do if he focused on a more ambient style for a whole album or at least a full album at this kind of tempo. So all in all a good album, it doesn't blow me away like Efflorescence did even though the music here is probably a little better: it is just the timing of the release.

It might be sad that you chose such an awful CD to review first in 2011 but if it's any consolation, I really enjoyed the rant especially the pictures that went with it.
