  1. I know, I'm none too impressed either.
  2. I think this is my favourite Astral Projection album. It can sound a little dated but I still love it. So many of the tracks remind me of partying in Israel under the stars, of ecstacy and happy, hazy days, ahhh...
  3. Do the CD's go all the way down to the bottom? Edit: Just saw the post above mine. Wow, 134 CD's. That's hugely impressive. The term spoilt for choice has seldom been more appropriate.
  4. A mini album, eh? Interesting.
  5. It is his signature. If you check the For Sale/Trade Section there's a thread about this auction (found here) that pretty much validates the authenticity.
  6. It's Curious. When it comes to new artists from the more traditional branches of music (rock, blues, folk etc.) I have all the time in the world and will happily sit through hours of radio and TV broadcasts airing new acts. When it comes to new electronic acts however, I just can't be bothered to listen to them as I feel there's a 95% chance they'll be rubbish. Maybe it's just me but trance has lost it's way. I don't know if it's because everyone is using the same technology to create the music but it all sounds the same. There's no character to it anymore. Anyway, sorry. Rant over.
  7. I've never understood the whole autogragh thingy. Just seems silly to me.
  8. Today the postwoman touched my elbow, kissed me on my cheek and left me - A String Quartet Tribute to Massive Attack Best contemporary classical album I've heard in some time. Dark, haunting and beautiful renditions. Davy Graham - Folk Blues and Beyond A 60's fusion of folk and blues. Bought it on the strength of one song and sadly discovered the rest of the tracks are rubbish. Going straight on eBay.
  9. You're trying to understand something that doesn't exist. I can't understand why fieldmice push heroin onto shrews because in actual fact they don't. Similarly you can't understand why LSD is so overrated because in actual fact it isn't.
  10. 10/10. Same goes for Hallucinogen In Dub. Nuff said.
  11. Was that the competition in which you had to state in a set number of words why you deserved a shpongle mouse pad?
  12. I wish I was going to this. It looks like it might be one of the best parties, ever, in the history of the world - and I seldom exagerate.
  13. UX - Master Of The Universe
  14. I would just like to thank Lara for pulling this thread from the ashes, it's one of the best on Psynews in my opinion.
  15. I was only recently introduced to Shulman (thanks to Psynews) and immediately fell in love with In Search Of A Meaningful Moment so I bought his first album, Soundscapes And Modern Tales, which I also found excellent. Consequently I had very high hopes for Random Thoughts but those hopes were not satisfied. It's well produced and technically excellent but it's not very musical and ultimately I feel a rather generic attempt at ambient-trance, particularly compared to his previous albums.
  16. Yes, I know what you mean but if I'm honest it's not as if I gave up some great talent. They were pretty mediocre tunes really, nothing particularly inspiring or innovative.
  17. Yeah, but you listen to progressive so your opinion means very little.
  18. Yeah, she brightens the place up.
