Most producers of this kind of stuff dont try to make melodies. Whether thats good or bad is up to the listener. But comparing melodic music to non melodic music, thats like comparing avocados and mangoes. Sure they have a similar structure, but they're vastly different...

Antix, wow what music! Saw them once, actually, I was at a party, falling asleep, when they played... DIdnt really know them at the time, and it was nice smooth going into dreamland stuff... Lull is great, Twin Coast Discovery is great, I almost think TCD is the better of the 2... Their track on Nuance sounds like we can expect some great things in the future! Such smooth trancey stuff... Stuff like this is the reason I love progressive...

Once I get the laptop and soundcard squared away, Im going for Live 6. I plan to play my own stuff live, as live as Live will do at least! (that damn old debate again... ) I have no problem with a PCMCIA, the Echo card was the only one I knew of, and I was planning on getting that one. I figured Id see what you experts have to say! Also, the laptop will hopefully replace my home dinosaur. I'll look into those recommendations, thanks a lot!

9 West-Wake Up (Nuance-Iboga)

Ok, in the near future I'll be getting myself a laptop. Im planning to use it for production and live performance. What sound card(s), in your opinion/experience, are ideal? Price be damned, external or internal, gimme an idea what I should be looking at.

well, I was really expecting more of the throbbing bass-filled sound IE Sub-Zero rmx (Sonic Pantomime-Ketuh). So this was a bit of a surprise to find it in this style, that kind of bass that reminds me of Mechanix, kinda... Id call it mid-heavy bass. Plenty of Phyx-ation, but... I was hoping for better. 7/10. (Brethren-Legend of Cane is much MUCH better IMO)
