A madman talking It's a master piece for friggin fuck sake! Feeling Weird is a couple of good tunes, but not complete like TLD! <Insert speech about "all those little details and the psychedelic evolution of sounds" here>

Didn't listen, but Toirés has some pretty good ethnic sounding triphop/chillout. EDIT: of course i've listened to Toirés, not to your samples just 2 m8-tk clear.

I had to have some kind of neutral word to serve as a bridge between the different ways of looking at the issue.

Astro Cortex: you should know ambient songs are not "tunes" they are "works"! eh?

Is it forbidden in this forum, to discuss stuff like trading, i mean "hey, you wanna trade this for that" type of stuff? I know I'm being a bit unclear but hopefully someone can answer FUCK i feel engrish right now.

Ticon has this extremely plastic feel to me... I doubt i'll ever find nuances in their music.

She has never looked as UGLY as she does in your sig right now

Sorry but what is Jenovah Art? Haven't heard of anything remotely similar sounding

The things you say are very true, stalker. However i think LSD IS a pretty unique tune, you can't deny that, because if there is such a thing as an objectively good song, LSD would be one. It wouldn't, however, have gained the same success if it was created now, which is pure logic. It wouldn't impress anymore, not that much. The reason why LSD is good to us is both the timeless musical quality, and the rate of inventiveness it showed back in 1994. So long baby bye bye l8rz m8.

Obviously, DC (Direct Connect) is the best for any genre. But if you don't feel like taking lots of time, then download soulseek instead. It's simple as kazaa, but you can find lots of electronic music, in fact you can find almost anything there.

A true psytrancer is a nerd with too bad computer to play games on..... . . . . . . . . . .
-
It's undeniably getting bigger and more commercial, but I hope that we will get another brand of trance evolving from it, that still is pretty underground, so it won't get "streamlined" naa'm say'n?

Finally someone who agrees with me

minimal, dark, housy prog, "new school" (in my opinion this genre is bullshit; it's just goa, and goa has been produced ever since it "died", just to a lesser extent, so i prefer to call it goa, since that's what it is. khetzal, for example, has added new things and makes music in his/her/their own style, just like the best goa artists in the past).

Distinguished (red) albums/compils from old DB?
qa2pir replied to gstarcev's topic in General Psytrance
You can still check it, through this page: http://web.archive.org/web/20050401084946/...ww.psynews.org/ Have fun -
I also fail to see the point sometimes. But generally, progressive is more trance while psychedelic is more psychedelic.... Although most artist's don't use the genre's full potential. Like in most genres.

Deviant Electronics can't be recommended enough Actually I'm listening right now to a song called: "Lost In Translation" by Pitch Black (a group that i don't think is very connected to psytrance), it includes typical psy elements in quite a soft fashion, and some fast, gentle breakbeats. Lots of mystical melodies too. EDIT: Oops, i thought the thread was started in february this year

Independent and cool as always

Actually their 2000's stuff isn't all that bad. It still delivers. I picked Etnica; more varied and stuff like that. Haven't hear CC yet though.

And sound excactly like Shpongle.

Well, if you've heard "Engel" by Rammstein, try imagining that powerfull guitar melody in a tweaked acid line as the instrument... Comes pretty close to quite a typical goa trance melody. But maybe you're seeking the sheer power of Rammstein and such, rather than the melody? In that case... Twisted System is pretty aggressive, reminds me of some kind of hardcore or something someimtes

I'm stunned by how musical this is.... So many little twirks, but not too busy, and also it almost never goes over to the "totally way too loud screeching noises" formula that the less creative dark trance composers stick too very often. The tracks move somewhere and you can here carfully composed little "melodies" even in the more noisy sounds, like they spent half an hour on tweaking a melody and then just put it in the background as a little nice effect And then there's the percussion; funky as hell, both really fast, groovy and intelligent, creating little figures and patterns as time passes by. The bass line never comes out as a bass line but actually a part of the song... So rewarding experience. Best of 2005? PS: I'm not what you would call a dark trance fan as I've only listened to a few albums in this sub genre. So maybe there's more stuff that is just as good as this, or even better? It would, though, be fun to be able to look upon this as totally unique

Actually a lot of the goa has melodies similar to Rammstein, but the abscence of guitars and screams make it sound less hostile.

I'm sure you've checked Hallucinogen's 2nd album "The Lone Deranger", otherwise.... DO!
