Hallucinogen doesn't just cut up samples and put them together! Ok, maybe his later works have been based on that but they're still groovy. And his earlier works may have sounded like plastic, but in that case, melting plastic polluted by crystal virus and heavenly scent. Now i wanna come up with a funny "right in your face" comment to round things up (much like the one Trolsk posted earlier in this thread) but it seems I'm not in the mood so I'll let this cool self-ironic one replace that. Ok with you?

I just realized I've only heard like 3 or 4 tracks by Vibrasphere. Metal Sharon is gonna be cool, haven't heard anything by them but it's 2 good musicians so..

Now i feel less indie being a psytrance fan... No, really, i think Hallucinogen makes one of the best but still most easily acceptable trance.

If the idea behind this was to create something new, the composer must have an IQ below 70. I think the main thought behind it was: "cool. death. destroy. kill. money!"

This might make me look dumb, but why don't you try some of the more melodic psy albums lately? Twisted System - The Dealers Talpa - The Art of Being Non The Misted Muppet - From the Legend These albums are highly melodic, but still fresh (they are all from 2004 i think). And they don't sound very much like the old goatrance.

What is discogs good for if you don't have 1000 rare vinyls?

I noticed that Boris Blenn's debut album is very hypnotic. And of course Hallucinogen's "The Lone Deranger". From Planet B.E.N. i've only heard "Ant Invasion" but that is one very hypnotic and highly detailed song, every effect is perfect in my opinion, without becoming predictable.

How come people like that boring bassline anyway? If i didn't know, i would've guessed that melodies à la Astral Projection would appeal more to the people than a repetitive bassline with some sound effects and a climax, 2 full pop songs into the song. Weird.
