  1. Looks like Hitler's still going to Burning Man.
  2. Oh cool, looks like you got a great taste. PsyCZ and MYCEL are the leading artist names in the scene...way up there with SImon Posford ;)
  3. Of course it does. There's a line I did not cross and he did...not my problem you can't see it.
  4. You of course failed to notice that the comment was directed at the music and the CD itself and not telling the person who compiled to "eat shit"...rather big difference in my opinion.
  5. Glad we agree. As for Goatronika, I respect your taste of course.
  6. Very valid points Ormion, but don't expect the guy who says "Thats your opinion...I really like dark psy but dont like him. Why all dark freaks love him? Because they are all junkies" to understand what you're trying to communicate.
  7. Very juvenile display I must say. You're talking about one of the pioneers who DJ'd in Goa back in the day when the Goa as is widely known didn't even exist, but was music made from all kinds of sounds taken from different generes and pieces of tape cut and taped back together into something different and DJ'd at parties...it was years later that the artists you mention ended up getting influenced by that and the vibe at those parties to make it sound what it ended up being known as "Goa Trance". To say "he just eat shit" and is a "traitor of Goa" is very disrespectful and shows how clueless and immature you are. PS If anything is shit and waste of my time and money, it is the Goatronika comp you compiled. Talk about an utter rubbish of a wannabe CD that bring zero innovation to the table, yet somehow gets hyped all over the net.
  8. The link still doesn't seem to work, but there's a "donate" button on www.elysiumworld.dk that should be OK. OK people, there's no excuse now, please donate something to the guy who was generous enough to share pretty much his entire discography for free No donation is too big or too small, do what you can. Let the guy have a beer in exchange for all the hard work and creative energy he has so generously shared and still plans to share in future
  9. Hmm it says "Fatal Failure" when I open the link for some reason
  10. That's kind of sad. Do you have a Paypal Donate button somewhere? Would you mind posting a link to it here if you do?
  11. Hope that translates into an extra gig or some financial gain...not that it was your intention..but it would be nice. Think about it 8800 downloads...if that's say 5000 unique people and each donated $1....it could make a difference..
  12. Hm, in that case you may wanna try some proper Hardcore or Speedcore? Plenty of energy I promise
  13. Sounding pretty promising. I think you're onto something here Any idea when you'd have it ready to go?
  14. There are some labels still releasing Psytrance? Off the top of my head, I can't think of many that still do, and by "psytrance" I mean the mind twisting stuff that still has an element of innovation and surprise to it that really moves you. The last one I heard attemt to do somehing like that is Gi'iwa with their Free Form Human album, but they are no longer in business. Gregh on Earth's T3 album seems like he's trying something unique and so is Cybernetika's Atropos (is it a coicidence that's actually free to download?) Old heroes haven't fared well lately I must say. Koxbox has released some mind blowing music, really pushing the envelope in the past, their newer releases, including U-turn conform much more to the "standard". I hope you decide to really, REALLY push the envelope, because I know you can and you have the talent necessary unlike many others...not sure if you will want to as you have concentrated on either groovin' house or down to earth chillout, but I hope you decide to roll up your sleeves and deliver psychedelia Play Koxbox first album and see how it makes you feel. (I don't want another Koxbox copy, one Filteria copying Etnica is enough I think) I would love to hear you attept to use every tool and ounce of your energy to create that feeling in people again....the kind of beat, melody or effect you choose is totally up to you....it'd be silly to telly you to sound like anything you produced before or anyone else. Anyways, as far as your Psy vs Prog debate, I agree in principle. There is a difference between the two although sometimes it's hard to draw the line when listening to people like Prosect/Sonify.
  15. Try 12 compilation released on TipWorld label. All the 12 tracks on it are beatless. You also may like The Mystery of The Yeti on TIP records. See here:http://www.discogs.com/release/90964 Make sure it's the first and not the second volume of the series. It has a some beats here and there especially the last part but very chill and tells you a story from start to finish (as opposed to just "background" music for airports or something). I'm talking tracks that are like 15 minutes long and all fit into one big story. Here is a 5 minute sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz80ARRMzmw&feature=related Another one to try maybe is Ian Ion album Gringolocomotion on Chill Tribe records. Some releases on Somnia label are beatless like for example Emanuele Errante - Humus album, so you may want to check the samples on their website. Other than that, if you're willing to consider artists outside of the "psy" scene you may want to try Tetsu Inoue's work, as well as, some releases on FAX and Databloem labels.
  16. You better be fuckin' right because I just ordered it based on this thread's comments
  17. He also hacked Zen's Discogs account so I wouldn't be surprised if he was behind the Twisted job since he caused a lot of stir in their forums too.

By the way, what's so special about this Goa Trax CD anyways? Weren't majority, if not all of the tracks already released elsewhere?

Whoah, now that's what a call a proper zing but really, how can you call a guy that spent so much on one CD you sold cheap and do so publicly ??? How do you know he's not a regular, average Joe and not some rich kid and really wanted the CD so he stretched himself beyond his means this month so he can buy the CD and wanted to minimize all other costs including shipping so his bank account isn't hit as hard?

You haven't quite answered the question though. If your player can play it OK and there is no audible difference plus the CD is not scratched I don't see what the big deal is. I think it's reasonable for a seller to disclose the shape of a CD visible to a naked eye and check to make sure it plays OK in his stereo, but EAC checking is not unless you specifically state you want it done prior to the seller sending it to you. Besides a CD passing an EAC check is not a guarantee the CD will play in your player. As for Zen's replies to your concerns, I think you got a point. I think he could have handled it a bit different.

Just curious, does the CD play OK in your CD player? Sometimes EAC on a PC will give you an error but a CD plays fine in a CDJ or stereo.
  22. Hmm pretty decent size package Do you think that was his self reflection or wishful thinking?
  23. Release it for free on Ektoplazm If noone wants to release it, and most people have forgotten about Etnoscope (I know I have kind of), free download can be good promotion and re-introduction to new audiences.
  24. Dude, offer him a bit of cash and see if you can negotiate a deal. Being a free music enthusiast himself, he probably wasn't looking to make a buck, but hey, say, you have him do a cover for you and you "donate" cash to his website...just an idea on how to start your negotiation BTW that Jikkenteki cover is simply stunning. It's different and one can tell you've put some time and effort into it.
