  1. Kind of confusing that there is already an Aquila. I thought this was a new release by "the original" Australian project with the same name that used to release on Psy Harmonics. More info here: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Aquila
  2. Will you stop trolling on this forum please?
  3. Quote from Subcouds website: "subcouds was a swedish goatrance project by fredrik axelsson and rickard berglöf between 1995 and 1999. today fredrik is involved in the fripic bounce project and the pHat pHase project. and rickard is involved in the vibrapshere project. thanks for all support, see you soon again! 4. What are your favorite old school synth classics? To this day I love hearing stuff like Depeche Mode for example. Here are a few videos of tracks that come to mind immediately: Visage - Fade To Gray I would imagine this song influenced quite a few electronic music artists. Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence Great Classic!! Pet Shop Boys - Being Boring This one had a nostalgic feel to it even back then, let alone now after all these years. I was too young to really understand it back then but turns out it's really about times when these guys were young teens, ideals that they held and how their perspectives changed as they were growing up, so indeed, the nostalgic theme is felt in terms of both story line and the sound. I was too young when some of this stuff came out to really be able to say "yeah I was part of that scene from the beginning" but this sort of stuff continued to get played on TV and radio so I did get exposure to it over the years.
  5. Grant has produced progressive trance as Excession. He released one track on Iboga. http://www.discogs.com/artist/Grant+Collins I wonder what happen to Doof?
  6. Check your pm ALso have a look at this old thread: http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?sh...=6288&st=20
  7. I'm very happy with my setup. Here's a site you might enjoy: http://www.audioreview.com They have reviews of everything there, from amps, to preamps to speakers and everything in between. They also have a used equipment sale forum if you want to buy something and tons of other useful info. This is the site I consulted before buying my stuff. btw, here's what people think of the speakers in my setup: http://www.audioreview.com/cat/speakers/fl...02_1594crx.aspx
  8. Like many other material things in life it depends on your budget. Here is my setup: Preamp: http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/990.html Power Amp: http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/7700.html My speakers have lower 4 ohm resistance which means if I decide to connect full 7 speaker system I'd have 7 x 300 Watts = 2100 Watts total. Autlaw Audio is probably not that well known since it can only be bought via mailorder, but they have won numerous awards, their reviews have been great, their owner used be a key member of a team that made NAD a world famous audio company before starting Outlaw Audio and many people agree they sound like gear that is in much higher price range. The power amp is a beast and damn heavy and hard to carry around (more than 42Kg). Speakers: http://www.axiomaudio.com/m80.html Much like the amp the speakers are direct order only I think, but you can order them and listen in your house for 30 days and if you don't like them you can return them for a full refund minus the shipping costs. As you can see, all the drivers are dual, and high frequency ones are made of titanium. If you'e strictly into older stuff, sure Sansui might be the right one for you. I would also look into some nice Marantz maybe. Pioneer used to make some great amps back in a day. If your budget allows, I'd also checkout Mcintosh amps http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/ Supposedly their old amps were great too. If you feel like you don't need a lot of power and want pure clarity and Crop Circles CD has sold tremendeously well to let you afford buying super expensive stuff, then maybe you can look into tube amps
  9. well end users' buying power is lower due to bad economic conditions too, so their position is not so favorable as one might think... Less expensive goods aren't so cheap if you don't make as much money as you did before or if you lost your job.
  10. ....and what would those details be? Hope he's not making and selling fake bootlegs.
  11. Very well put. The fact that you limit a certain release to 300 does not automatically imply quality, and your representation comes across as a classic marketing strategy whereas one tries to package something as very exclusive that people will hopefully associate with quality and buy it. It's sort of disappointing to see you mention how you're saving money on local printing as opposed to international shipping for example, yet you are refusing to pass on those savings onto your customer, even if it's a struggling student.
  12. 22 Euro for a CD is a bit much don't you think? Saikosounds sell CD's for about $14 which is just over 10 Euro plus a few bucks for shipping.
  13. Yeah, that ambient version of the legendary Unconscious Collective - Fluorostani Transcendance is still unreleased right ?
  14. I love how the CD is dedicated to the females Looks like someone is a womenizer
  15. Try Pleiadians - Universe 13 ..... to me it definitely sounds otherworldly/outer space kind of vibe and it is also subtle compared to their other material that has more "in your face" kind of sound.
  16. ...you like it smoother as opposed to 1000-thing going on at the same time and you release Filteria? If anyone tries to jam 1000 sounds in one second it's him
  17. Well the boundaries between the two are sometimes very difficult to define. Koxbox used to release on Harthouse and some of Eye Q material could in my opinion pass as psychedelic trance. Lisen to Sven Vath - Harlequin The Beauty and The Beast. It's got some serious layering and intricate psychedelic sounds flying all over the place....or Earth Nation - Alienated. Then you have Michael Kohlbecker releasing on both Harthouse and Blue Room. I'd say that BPC song is a classic...maybe not a Goa classic...but a classic nevertheless
  18. Oh another name I forgot...Hardfloor - TB Resuscitation. Check it out Nemo, this one's for you
  19. Well some people would even call some of Speedy J's work on those albums Trance like Pepper for example....or even better check out Orbital - Remind here: It's quite different from minimal uber repetative Techno tracks a DJ would play like 5 of them each for 30 seconds on 5 turntables back to back kinda thing. ..so you right, they have little to do with minimal Techno. My point is that some people who only count the kind of minimal Techno I describe above as "pure" would dismiss those 3 albums I mentioned as not a "real" Techno....but..who cares, I like'em
  20. Not sure what people's definition of Techno is, but I would definitely favor first 2 Speedy J albums Ginger and G Spot. Orbital's Brown album comes to mind too. Maybe these are too maximal for the minimal Techno purists
