Please be patient, we're scrambling to finish it and release it somewhere in the beginning of may. At this moment it's being mastered and I'm trying to finish the cover before the 14th, the day we send to the press. It's going to celebrate our 10th anniversary and you will find several of our core artists entertaining you over...3 CDs!

I agree with you on the fact the music shoudl breathe. Three comments though: 1) Those labels who give already mastered tracks to a mastering studio have no idea what they're doing. This is so wrong. Any serious mastering guy will be unable to do anything out of a track that has already been limited or compressed or mastered. He will even refuse them because HE would be accused of doing a bad work whereas he would have just done what he could. I didn't even think this happened as you're suggesting. If it does, then such label managers must be shot in the head (twice). 2) 95% of the DIY masterings are just plain awful. Neogoa producers tend to put the melodies too much in front and the track sounds unbalanced. We get hundreds of promos per year and there's strictly no doubt about it. 3) The "dynamics" discussion has been all the rage in Belgium for some time, and everytime I'm shown a waveform graph with some comments about dynamics I interpret it as an attempt from the person to show how much knowledgeable he thinks he is. Such endless discussions leave me cold. I'm not targetting you here as your post is not giving any example. I'm just saying: leave the plumbery to the plumber. Hire a good mastering guy. Keeping in mind his price may be unrelated to his competence. And if he can't adapt to the style of music, then change engineers!

Fewer and fewer artists bother making alternate live versions. They play "some" unreleased tracks when they can of course.

Probably there will be 90% of Neelix-like progressive with loads of offbeat rhythms. Sometimes I wonder if the fullon era wasn't preferable...

I have most of them. Dogether with Dolmot I'm sure we would be able to dig them all. But where to store them ? Do we even have the right to spread them ?

Equator was supposed to be the Sonic Safari album, yet another side-project of the 4 italians (check the lineup of SA2000). The Fluorophilipa album not being releasd, that seemed to be some kind of fallback to release it under the Etnica name.

Totally my thought. It's like LSD without taking LSD! But there's very good so-called NeoGoa albums too.

Maurizio used to be skilled and is still to some extent I hear, but without Carlo and Andrea, the Etnica/Pleiadians projects will never be the same again. For example, Carlo took a BIG part into the making of IFO. Since 1999 - for the past 15 years mind you- you cannot expect a Goa album from Etnica/Pleiadians. Forget it. Game over. There's still relief in the fact Aurizio accepts to do oldschool performances once in a while, that's all you'll be able to get in 2014.
