  5. Get a program called Recycle - it really helps in making loops. or just download from the net and use lot's of effects like the rest! there are many sites offering free loops. there are also loads of loop and sample cd's out there for purchase. this should get you started: http://www.freeloops.com/ a good vst sampler to use is Native Instruments Kontakt good luck
  6. I was also expecting a dark set. But it wasn't that dark at all. Not like the past releases. Really groovy - the dancefloor was really rocking and the mood was way positive! You're in for a very pleasant surprise. enjoy
  7. Sounds Great! I saw Azax Syndrome on New Years Eve and all I can say is WOW looks like you'll have a blast

  9. Heard this track at Greensprit NYE outdoor fest. Need an I.D please In a break there is a male voice sample that says: "Do you fuck as well as you dance?" ... just can't place the name. Any help???
  10. *cough but some of us old farts have the hormone level of 16 year old's *cough I guess that's why I hate full-on and love it at the same time seriously though.... there is so much fullon being released, and so much is shite, that there's so much to hate! I don't think that because Bon Jovi has released 10 shite cd's that I would say I hate rock?! I guess people love to generalise. personally, I think there is nothing more awesome than an awesome full-on tune
  11. exactly! failing this, export as an AIFF at 16bit. Then open it in an editor of some sort and try and convert it to the file-type described above.
  12. heard this the other day. well produced, but.....ehm..... When I heard it I was like "another GMS album?". Too close for comfort imho. but that's just me interested to read your review on this one DP!
  13. well done! I feel very nice for you! good luck

    Eskimo - Balloonatic

I thought Eskimo's "Take a look out there" was cutting edge. The following VA releases dissappointed me to say the least. Now this new release has pulled him back on track imho. Everyone either seems to be stealing ideas, melodies and formulas from the likes of IM, GMS, Protoculture and Astrix these days. Balloonatic stands out as being a little more "fresh" sounding. It's not happy candy raver shit, nor is it dark and twisted horror psy - it's somewhere in between. The bassline is finally just a bassline! The melodies carry all the tracks. And the arrangement and sequencing is inventive. As always, the production is top-notch. You'll here all the trademark Eskimo details like twisted vocal samples and the often gratuitous use of breaks - but still it feels like this boy has matured a little as a producer. He seems to be moving forward and developing his craft. Most of the tracks are danceable, funky and rocking - although the odd break may upset the groove on the dancefloor - but I guess that's Eskimo.... keeping his audience surprised. If you like full-on then buy this cd. It's not the next biggest thing, but it certainly stands out from the pile of full-on shite that we have from 2005. I expected to be dissappointed, but now I'm pleasantly surprised! Solid release. I give it 7/10
  15. so nice to see so many nice comments about this release. *feels patriotic this is a great one

  17. hey peeps nice to see ya'll again. thanks mars
  18. Personally, I choose stereo monitoring. This way you get to hear the kicks on top of each other, and you can really hear if you are in or out. About the volume thing.... in the beginning you always have it loud ( instinct? ) but when you get some practice behind you you will notice that you can hear the beats and where they are sitting even at low volumes. People that are experienced that monitor at high volumes are just deaf from years and years of abuse!
  19. 1. Chemistry 2. Chemistry ( the other type, he he )
