  1. Ok, here's my top: TOP 5 ARTISTS: 01. E-mantra 02. Jikooha 03. Siam 04. Alienapia 05. Liquid Flow TOP 5 LABELS: 01. Panorama 02. Ezel Ebed 03. PHOTOTROPIC 04. METAPSYCHIC 05. Suntrip TOP 5 ALBUMS: 01. E-Mantra - Arcana 02. ka-sol & BFB - Masters of Outhouse 03. EVERYBODY MAKING NEOGOA* *(I mean, there are a lot of superb neogoa albums. However there are some good acts, like SIAM, that have a "youtube Album". So, I decided to leave the last 3 positions open). TOP 5 V/A: 01. Spiritual Rising - Ezel Ebed 02. Temple of Chaos - Suntrip (same as above) TOP 5 EPs: (same as above) TOP 5 Coverart: (I really loved the Hindu deities that reigned during the old Goa era. I think neogoa needs to find its own way).
  2. Yeah Tom, that's exactly I want too: old good AP. I have just visited their site and listened to Burning Up. Too soft, clubby (I understand that that piece of work is for Eurotrance clubs though), and the piano sequence is just unbearable.
  3. d2kx: I just hope they don't repeat the same formula they used on their Ten album: most versions and remixes were very uncreative and ugly. As for the new album, I hope they leave Open Society progressive style aside and make a really bleed-your-ears album. Come hard and banging men!
  4. It's a shame that I have discovered Ectima just recently, for there's only a bunch of producers doing tech-trance. And they do it superbly!! Great release Tessarac & Ectima!!
  5. Ezel Ebed site not a problem here, must be because I use a Mac. Awesome compilation. IMO, it shows how Goa is rich: some will like Suntrip 1990ish tracks, while others (like me) are in love with harder Goa beats. This way, I loved all the tracks. But the one I can't stop listening to is Joseph Mcdonough's MINDGAP. Wonderful. Congratulations for all artists and Ezel Ebed  Goa rocks!!
  6. I don't know if this is the right topic for posting this, or if I am doing it the right way. But I want to bring to your attention this fantastic Neo Goa compilation. IMO, the best I have heard so far. Everything is fat: basslines, drums, rich melodies. Not for weak hearts. Expect banging Goa, and that's the way I like it! Title: Spiritual Rising (VA) Label: Ezel Ebed Records Release: August 13th, 2010 1. Gazzuar / Glyzerin 2. Astrancer / Koilon 3. Hypnotic Signal / Seven Nights 4. Zed Reactor / Velzevul 5. Joseph Mcdonough / Mindgap 6. E-Mantra / Ragnarok 7. Radical Distortion / IR 3109 8. Amanians / Dna 9. Psychedelic Quest / Project Meditate http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display_release.asp?id=8526 #5 is a classic of its own. Congratulations for Ezel Ebed for such a shining compilation and specially for all artists involved.
  7. Thanks for the free download. But, if you allow an opinion: the first 6 tracks are not my piece of cake, really. I really liked Arronax's track, the rest lacked something.
  8. He isn't coming back because he never went anywhere. He is very active in the Japanese scene and I have seen his name on several line-ups. Thing is that the Japanese scene is closed to "outsiders" due to the Japanese language and alphabet.
  9. Goa? where in his tracks? To my ears, it's pure full-on, and not of the refined kind. Unfortunately.
  10. Err, sorry if I sound naive. But, don't you guys think that, nowadays, it's easier to rip MP3 from vids instead of downloading rapidshare (that may come with strings attached)? That's what I do, and I am pretty satisfied.
  11. There are hundreds of "best melodies", all of them are masterpieces. I have mentioned chi-ad, MWNN, AP in other posts. This week I found an old track that is a bliss from the 1 second: Goa Syndrome - Boiling in Acid.
  12. WOW !!! A huge WOW!! It is so different and amazing. Are you guys sure it's forest trance? You know what, it reminds me a lot of the same excitement I felt the first time I heard Juno Reactor. To my ears it sounds completely different from anything I have heard in recent years! It's on a league of its own. #7 is awesome. #9 does remind me of Juno Reactor's chic style.
  13. The two Ectima albums, I have just discovered them. I am out of breathe. The most gorgeous basslines I have heard in ages. Love them
  14. Hey Technosomy, are you the famous legend, the producer of "pyramid", featured on the also legendary Goa Trance series?? I wish I could go to Ozora, it's the festival that fits my personality and musical taste. My dream is to see MWNN and BPC live...someday... Err, aren't you a way too small little girl to backpack your way into Ozora? :D
  15. Infected Goa: Man, simply awesome! It's on a class of its own, along with the original version.
  16. Let's be honest: most producers know they lack talent enough to create a Goa track. It envolves multi-layering, creating non-tacky melodies and a spoonful of knowledge. It is much easier to create a full-on, dark or a progressive track. Goa is the Hitchcook of electronic music. That said, the same works for remixing Goa tracks. Usually the remix is not as good as the original version.
  17. Yeah, but you know, all that together was something so good. There was this romantic thing in the air, even in dance music of the 80s, that was so nice, everything was a little bit slower and we had more time to see life gently, walking along with it. In 2007 I was invited to DJ at a halloween party and I divided my set in two parts: from 22 to midnight I played psychedelic, and then till 2 pm I played 80s dance music. Man, people came crying to thank me for the good memories, and to my surprise a lot of 20-somethings came asking me the specific title of this or that song (Baltimora's Tarzan Boy and Company B's Fascinated was even asked an encore). And Steve Nicks "Stand Back" was one of the tracks I played. Love her.
  18. I think this is something very subtle. For instance, in US, Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" was played during funerals, while in some countries it was the most played song during weddings!! Anyway, being 40 years old, I had the privilege of being a teenager during the melodic 1980s. This way I feel very nostalgic and sometimes sad when I hear some romantic 80s songs. The song may not be particularly sad, but it makes me feel so. But there's a particular singer whose songs are magic and they're sad also: Sandra. She had a lot of #1 hits, here's one of them (Maria Magdalena) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JngdfOY82I
  19. I am surprised no one mentioned: Man With No Name - Three Circles: Greece 2000 (MWNN remix) Astral Projection - Cosmic Ascension (DJ Jorg remix) Chi-Ad - The Flame (remix)
  20. Eehh? Dunes Of Gold? Dominion? Where are they, I haven't found any clues on these two tracks Please share with us, will you?
  21. Reyu: no he hasn't released any tracks besides the ones you mentioned, in the last couple of years. Anyway, I heard he played some unknow stuff last parties he appeared. I hope it's new material.
  22. Yes, he's sort of reclusive. I don't know what happens to these Goa legends: I was reading the OZORA thread in Isratrance, the org said he has invited Chi-ad over and over, but never got to book him. Can you believe that? Chi-ad is the dream of everybody I know, but he can't be booked. Martin keeps to himself, but I am sure he will come up with an album soon.
  23. Thanks Treyu, but I have ALL of his tracks, including his last ones. I have been waiting for a new album for ages now. He is the top on mu wishlist.
  24. I love Man With No Name, and I am happy he's been booked for some of the best festivals lately. This year he will appear on BOOM and OZORA. His appearance last year on AURORA was the best moment for many, according to Youtube. I loved a comment saying that he is part of the elite of the psy scene. So true! But his last album was in 2003. Do you guys know if he's producing a new album? Any news on him is welcome.
  25. Man, why don't you upload it to a site where your tracks can be listened to before one decides to download it? I won't download your file if I can't listen to it beforehand, and I am sure almost 100% people won't either. I suggest 4shared.com, give it a try.
