  1. I spent hours trying to remember where I had heard "I feel so exposed, I can hear myself". Then I remembered: it's on The Sorcerer, by Adrenalin Drum. I wonder what's the connection between these two wonderful tracks. One is my favorite acid-goa track, the other a lesson on melody.
  2. Insejn, I (and a lot of people) think it's funny the way some artists are inspired by other's more famous artists names. X-Scream sends one directly to X-Dream. And the sound of "eks-scream" itself is funny. There should be a reason for naming a band. What's behind the idea of "Cannibal Barbecue", for instance? FYI, it's a psy band from somewhere. I didn't mean offense, I was just laughing a little. Just like I would if I was introduced to someone called Chrysler Ford.
  3. Off-topic, but I couldn't resist: X-Scream?  Are you X-Dreaming? or X-Kidding?  Pun intented! :D :D
  4. I disagree, Drosophila: music is not a gentlemen's land anymore. Long gone is modesty. Self promotion is the rule. Take a look at the footer of some posters here and in Isratrance: they advertise their own tracks. So, no problems with a site being biased. I would not have any problem with that. And I doubt Psynews would recommend buying anything from Infected Mushroom, for instance. The site could have a banner of their latest release, but I doubt people who visit Psynews would be naive enough to not know to separate bad things from the good.
  5. I think that psy trance is becoming to electronic music what 1980's synth-pop (think of Roxy Music, Cetu Javu, Modern Talking etc etc) is to 2010's rock: sweetly nostalgic. And it was good, people wish 1980s could come back. So, times have changed, psy is not the same anymore and Psynews' members miss it a lot. But it does not mean that the site itself is stuck in time. Perhaps this site is not so accessed as it used to be, but then we have to take into consideration that now there are more, much more, sites dedicated to electronic music than, say, 10 years ago. I think that Psynews could go on, and have an upgrade: become a virtual shop, selling not only MP3, MP4, but also clothing and whatsnot. I will link a Japanese online shop which could be "an example". They sell online, but they don't have a forum. Don't shut down the site, Mars, it's good. http://www.psychedelicgarden.com/
  6. I may be mistaken, but isn't EPIC trance the definition of 1980's trance? To me, Cosmosis IS goa or psychedelic trance. Anyway, what comes to my mind is Usura - Open Your Mind, Dance2Trance - Power Of American Natives.
  7. After listening to it more carefully, despite the not-so-clear video sound, I came to say that AP just hit the jackpot with Dunes of Gold. It's fantastic. I have criticized AP's progressive tracks since Amen. And Dunes of Gold is what AP is good at: banging beats, multi-layered unique melodies, powerful riffs (which almost brought me to a catarse at 7:15). It seems a world away from the proggy "One", which IMO needs to be reconstructed having Dunes Of Gold in mind, as a target to be reached. I just hope that at least most of their new album sounds as hard and melodic as Dunes... A winner, indeed. It's been a long time since a track made me have goosebumps, Dunes made it!
  8. Dunes of Gold: WOOOOOOOWWW ;) This is the Astral Projection we have been waiting for!!! One of their best tracks ever IMO!! The 7:15 melody is pure AP!! Loved it guys!
  9. I think that 2 MINDS's Anomaly cover is at least disrespectful. It would be more sensitive if he showed his a#* hole in the cover. Real jerk
  10. I recommend: E-Mantra / Arcana (Suntrip Recs), 2009
  11. I recommend: E-Mantra / Arcana (Suntrip Recs), 2009
  12. mike.54: BINGO You made my day! Thanks a lot!!!!
  13. I finally got a piece of it recorded. The sound is not clear, but it can be heard: Any help is more than welcome!!
  14. Hi guys, here I go again with another track I can't recognize the artist or the title. Worse, I heard it on radio broadcast and they didn't say the title of the track. I ask your help based only on your knowledge, which I know is deep. This track starts a little smoky and around 20s a full-on beat kicks in, NOW the most impressive thing about this track is the melody: it's a piano-synth sequence in a crescendo. Marvellous, it reminded me a little of Transwave's Land of Freedom and Man With No Name's style. Can you give me a hint? Thanks guys!
  15. Not exactly what you asked, but here are 16 Uvantam/Ubar Tmar tracks, some of them were featured in HEN. And what's best: they are download-able tracks. Have fun! PS. If you really like Uvantam, then you should check UNI/Panorama. His kind of experimental Goa drums are really difficult to find - that's because this guy is really good. I had the pleasure of watching him once back in 1996, when I was in front of Green Nuns of The Revolution in a small club in Osaka - and had no idea who were those strange guys.
  16. I have heard that IM are going to sync-dance? lolololol Synsun, you're great. But, remixing IM is sure a way to ruin one's career. It sounds tacky. I mean, their tracks, not your remix.
  17. I already have done that, Frozen. Apparently, they've gone under, and thats's good news to me
  18. Hi guys! Despite not liking their last album at all, I do miss their style. Do you guys have any idea of what they're doing right now? Any chances of a new album (without vocals, please)?
  19. Rino, they might be doing geriatrance now, but they're still AP. They still get faithful crowds. Why so much bitteness? Has your girlfriend left you with your credit card, and listening to AP on her Iphone? :P :P
  20. Thank God no one does that IM was, is, will be responsible for bringing psy standards lower and lower every new album. That vocal thing is AARGH!!
  21. Gaaahh It's bad. I can't imagine me playing any of these horrible tracks, let alone dancing to them. It's horrible even for pystrance's today's standard. It can't be true it's the same duo that wrote Mahadeva.
  22. Still too progressive and slow, IMO. I really don't like it.
  23. Not exactly my favovite cake, but I have this deep admiration for the Zogg crew. They manage to blend almost everything available: from piano house to psychedelic, with a touch of euro trance, Belgian techno, goa, you name it. A great album, it reminds me of a lot of different albums.
  24. I loved both, I think your tracks are great. Air Pad Express is one that I listen when I fly, when I drive. IMO, you and E-Mantra are the sounds of NeoGoa. I have been following you on youtube, and I play 2 tracks of yours when I DJ. Keep going SIAM.
