If it wasn't amazing then it never deserves the term Unreal, it also doesn't deserve the term odd ... it was just crap IM is very connected to the word "crap" in my brain anyway ... and your experience strengthens the bonds and bolts. And I'm again SO HAPPY I still got to see them before tha Superviz0r album back then ... that was already almost five years ago They came again to Vienna, last year I think, but that time in a big commercial clubbing hall ... with VIP zone where you can enter if you pay more - already when I read that on a psy party it makes me gag ... that's not shanti, that's über-commercial moneymaking shallowness, because don't think you can even see the artists from a distance in the VIP ... not that I wanted to, but still. Needless to say I saved the 30 Euro that the crap would have cost me already in the basic version (it would've been more because of drinks and train tickets) for good... Apparently it was worse visited than expected because this event called "Electric City", which was intended to become periodical, IM being the kickoff sorta, never took place again. Mission successful

I don't know, but when there's a group that consists of two or so artists then I'd say they are both equally important. If there was only one mind doing the work, why don't they split? I mean, it would be ridiculous not to split ... I wouldn't continue just for friendship and fame, that would not be okay and if there were bands who do that then I'd not honor such behaviour. Sure there's one mind who might have more creativity, but without the other the group wouldn't exist. So I say all members are equally important. It must be like that. Otherwise split up, gawdamnit! A good example is Magnetrixx. Stefan is very good with the technical stuff, can produce tracks on his own if needed. Heike is very creative and is not so good with the technics. Who's the brain behind that now? Actually it's both of them, because only when they work together the tracks sound really good! Should be like that everywhere. Otherwise the artists could (and should) just continue on their own aswell ... or not?

THIS is horrible But I knew that one before But the cover for the first Sabotage is AWESOME! They should have sticked to that and not make it ridiculous...
-
Seems the discussion about exaggerated promo texts can soon be laid ad acta ... in the future we'll only have those weird ones anymore
-
yeah, you could be right so that makes the cover even more cool
-
Haven't seen that one yet ... wouldn't even have found it cool before that experience though

I don't want more! I want ... well, not exactly less, but ... more on a different level. Seriously, the Psyshop charts are kinda right up my sleeve. Nice music that focuses not on intensity, but on creative use of elements and thus brings forth energy on a totally different level than other music does. I mean, I know what you mean, I fortunately had the possibility to experience oldschool magicka myself, but that stuff is so intense I can't bear to listen (or dance) to it more than one or two hours. It's also the same reason why I actually never put my Sky Input album into the player except if I got my headaches (Filteria cures 'em ... with phantastic closed-eye visuals, don't ask me how he does it!). IT'S TOO INTENSE! I already have enough intensity in life. I need a different kind of energy! You know?

And by the way... This is an AWESOME cover (IMO)! I love it ... look at the guy's eyes! And the headphones/ear protection ... I love it! Wanted to say that already since a long time.

I think Epoch Calypso is ... But well, the extraordinary genious LoRide Sloucher is available for listen on their myspace since some time and I found it totally awesome already before. In fact this track is guilty why I just couldn't wait for the release anymore! These synths, these synths ... But compared to LoRide Sloucher the rest of the album is pretty mediocre Well, I like Dune Rider and the first one because of the slinky bassline. And Pharaoh is okay aswell. Maybe Valley Of The Moon. But more than that ... is unfortunately not. You know, as I heard the terms "Eat Static" and "ambient" and "unreleased" in one sentence I was thinking that this album would have tracks as genious as Abduction (the track) ... my expectations were really high. And what we got here is not living up to them at all. The tracks are not awful, but ... I don't know, this doesn't kick, it's standard, Eat Static just has to be better, it's Eat Static damnit! It's unfortunate that I have to say this, but I'm happy I didn't buy it, I'd regret it

Even better and even more cool ... but well, you see how well the tickets for it obviously sold It's sad, but if they had made the ambient standalone here, without the party connected to it, I assume just as few people would have come
-
Yeah, I bet renting the Planetarium here wasn't cheap either ... although they sometimes rent it out for parties (I can somehow sense they got a bit monetary problems), but they never allowed people to rent the dome room until last time (there hasn't been an ambient floor till that night). But it was combined with a big (fullon ) party, so the guests there also paid the rent for the dome room with their entry fee... I think that's - on the long run - the only way not to make a loss.

Don't be too optimistic... Your figures could also mean that 2 million people saw Becoming Insaneand thought it was so great that they watched it a second time and then they checked out Psycho and thought "what a crap" and thus watched the video just once "Rap 'n' Psy" - "R'n'P" ... But face it, that's how it will probably be. More and more singing comes into psy. Crowds are already almost like those on pop and rock concerts! It's THE HORROR!
-
lack of WHAT? goddamn, it's a Platetarium, IT CAN'T FREAKIN' GET BETTER THAN THAT! If not even this event sells enough tickets to actually come up for the costs to organize it, I abandon my hopes for ambient gigs altogether

Have you checked Wirikuta? http://www.wirikuta.at

That explains a lot...

really cool ... have you been there? You know what's interesting? The combination, that once man becomes calm, relaxed and chilled to ambient music - or even without - the best stuff that fits visually is sights of masses and masses of stars, galaxies, the endless universe ... nothing terrestrial like a forest or such (I mean, that fits aswell, but not in that extent, you know - at least in my opinion) ... I guess it has something to do with where we came from and where we will return to ... in a way ... don't you think?
-
U want maximal? Check out da video that Mike A posted! Maxxxximal crowd r0x0r! *vomits violently on the floor* At the sight of such pathetic makes-me-wanna-hang-myself-psy-music (hey, a new genre!) it's a relief to see these Psyshop charts, really, come on, admit it!
-
Guys, look into the thread above, some nice person finally did what we were all waiting for Cheers
-
BIG THANKS TO YOU BROTHER!!! Also thank you for evaluating the chill releases! FINALLY! I don't care if this is uber official or sooo hardcore detailed or whatever, a tendency is all I wanted. THANK YOU! You are da man :posford: About the results ... well, it surprises me that EarthShine is on top, it wasn't that good to me ... and Matends on rank 35, it really could have done better, but well... Good result is Sync24 on rank 3 in chill. That's nice. Cheers, man, this is cool
-
Yep, I really really hope they are going to repeat that some time again ... they can even bring terrible Skazi music on the fullon floor, doesn't matter, I'll go there nevertheless just to chill in the planetarium Well, see, that's the problem ... the sky is almost never clear and even if it was then it's difficult to find a good spot ... and "out in the countryside" is easier said than done.
-
Erm ... no, it isn't ... I know what you mean, I became tired of waiting myself and got the same *cough* erm... forget it... ... but it isn't out. It probably leaked out, but it's not officially released yet Concerning the rest I also am with you, this album is nothing so special (sorry to shatter your hopes, folks ... I hope you'll find it better than me though). Maybe one great and 3 good tracks, the rest forgettable. Nothing compared to what I expected it to sound like (I expected a masterpiece). Not worth 15 Euros at all to be honest...
-
I don't get what's so bad about that chart... Audiomatic on 2nd place, yay! :posford: This, on the other hand, makes me chunder right onto the carpet floor ... Yet most likely just this is the stuff that gets these overmotivated and exaggerated reviews ... I can already picture one of 'em in my head ... "massive achievement" ... "gigantomanic live gig" ... "music from the heart" ... yuck, I guess I have to chunder again... But that's how it is, it's how it has to be. It was like this for years. "Never go buy one of those albums with these reviews that make it sound like the best of the best" ... it's a rule.

I'm sorry, no pics. I guess you know how a planetarium looks like ... and if not then it's time to go to one Besides you wouldn't have seen anything it that almost-darkness anyway ... and photos with flash would have been cruel to everybody in there. It was undoubtedly the best ambient experience I had so far apart from smoking Shisha to CBL's Hydroponic Garden. I now want to rent that planetarium just to put some of my Ultimae CDs in and listen to them ... I mean, this was so great... Are there other locations that great for ambient music? A real sky full of stars maybe, but you almost never have a view that good, besides you must be out of the city to have no light sources near that dim the star light... Gothic buildings such as churches must be awesome locations aswell ... in the french town Guebwiller there's such a location called "Les Dominicains de Haute-Alsace" ... and there they already had ambient concerts with Solar fields for example ( http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=tccKOgYFMZo ) ... looks awesome, but I wasn't there. I'm even too stupid to attend these concerts around here. I missed Solar Fields as he was playing here ... and I also missed an ambient concert in a church once (that was Sunn O ... I could bite my ass for that )
