  1. Austria is the last crap. I don't know if anybody watched today's match against Ukraine ... and we lost it so bad. That was awful. I know we don't play in the league of teams discussed here ... but I just have to vent it somewhere Don't count on us...
  2. okay, now I get it
  3. I recently did another successful trade with Pedro. Supreme guy. I confess that I was the one who almost fucked it up for being a bit scarce with my feedback and sending the money quite late. Yeah, I confess But luckily everything went well. Pedro is a great trader and I'll do it any time again I can only recommend him.
  4. So are you doing art? Or is this "ARTificial Intelligence" thing something else?
  5. well, I won't change my profession so soon, but in the long run I had the half-plan to study arts ... that would also be quite suitable for the driver job I think ... but I'm starting to give that up again because I just see I am not coming along with my arts plans AT ALL... I mean, I already went to an interview regarding the studies where I had presented them a portfolio of my arts (it was on the 23rd, that's my favourite number, I HAD to go there) ... and then I didn't go to the exam and now I have still not managed to get the folder back because I am too lazy and stupid. It's not going anywhere this way. So it seems like I'm going to stay IT support for some time...

  8. Man, how cool must that be ... I wouldn't even have a problem with being sober and I LOVE to drive cars. Hell ... maybe I should apply for such a job?
  9. I have studied information technology and telecommunications on an university of applied sciences. Not on "electrotechnican" level though, but I had a few lectures going into that. "Electronic circuitry", how to build logic circuits and all that. Currently I work as IT support in a software company. But we don't deal with ordinary computer problems, we rather do higher level things that have to do with our software... It's interesting, especially as a first job, getting to know shit and so on ... but it's not a job for a very long time to be honest.
  10. I got something and downloaded and examined it already ... but what puzzles me is that it's just 2 files, not sure if this is right. Will play around next time I have time. At the moment I'm just waiting till the heating goes up so that I can shower with hot water before I leave for the night...
  11. Very interesting sounds you make there, mr. DocVonOoze. I'll make sure that I remember the name for I'm very interested in further developments / releases... If you really consider releasing this type of stuff on vinyl too, respect to you!
  12. I understand the argument of reduced levels with more tracks on the record that you are mentioning. The preamp basically has not directly anything to do with that -- at least when we're talking about a standard one from the record shop. That one's just to un-distort the frequencies etched into the record on a general level... Indeed, the grooves take up space and to really get the most out of what vinyl offers, you need to do it like on the 12" singles and put only one track (8-9 minutes) on each side. Then the grooves will be so thickly etched you can follow the track with your eyes (and even fingernails, if you dare (scratch danger)) ... it's nice, but it means that you can't get more than a track on each side ... but the sound levels will be truly awesome. But if you want to save space and put more sound on the record, level reduction is the way to go. This is not necessarily so bad ... on many of them vinyl albums you got vinyls with two tracks per side that make about 15min and the grooves close together and the sound still being great, far from terrific as the pressing plant said ... the level might be a bit lower than on the singles with just one track per side, but overall the quality difference is not so big I would say from my own listening. Plus you can tighten the gap a great deal further with a good amp at the end. In my opinion it actually depends what sounds you want to record. When you are a "Shiva Chandra"-esque kind of audio fetishist who is relying on the sound itself rather than melodies and who also has some deep frequencies scattered around tracks that need to be brought to the listener, you might want to have the best possible way to transmit the full spectrum of sound. But when you are focussing on the acid/goa sound that maybe isn't so fetishistic about every tiny detail but focuses more on the melody construct and plain delivery of energy to the listener, I'm quite positive that tightening the tracks on the record will not do it bad. People who like it loud will just crank the volume a tad bit higher than otherwise IMO... I'll be very interested to hear more news about that project of yours. I like vinyl ... and I'd probably buy it if you released it. Keep us updated
  13. So are you saying they gonna win the Champoins League? I need a good input for a betting strategy, that's why I'm asking.
  14. At the moment I'm browsing though the web trying to find a free skin for the board that we can use
  15. Cooking a vegetable soup ... I have a cold and this should help a little... At the same time trying to coat the screen of my cellphone with protective foil. Need to hurry a bit because I gotta head out later. Not easy, because the soup's not ready yet.
  16. Yeah, I'm aware of the stuff ... but at the moment I don't know how to fix it. Hope I can get back to this soon...

    US Debt

Yes, indeed. But if America "inflations away its debt", it will make peoples saved money worth less because inflation eats it up. And don't argument now with "inflation-bond interest", because if you do that then the debts will stay at their level and won't shrink. They must shrink and this can only be through higher inflation than interest. Which will eat the money away which we save for our retirement or anything else... good video!
  18. So I have now removed the old skins because the display is just impossible. They're not compatible. Note that the only official skin we have at this point is the official IP Board 3.2.2 preset skin. I'm probably going to play around with some of them from now on, changing, reverting ... the usual testing stuff. I gotta see if I can find a free skin that suits our needs. So if you see another skin in the menu, better don't change to it unless we make it offical!
  19. Yes, definitely, the Aurora is even better than the Immersion one. But I do like that one a lot too... This is a cool style. Keep it up!

    US Debt

Well, you can see easily where it's heading then. These politics of "living on debt" as we are doing now -- living on the debt of what we actually owe to the poor countries in the world (not in an absolute, but also in a moral way) and also living on debt to nature -- WILL end. They will have to end because at one point of time there won't be anything we can loan from these two factors anymore. The question is only if humans are doing enough to stop this before it is going to, yeah really, drag us all down to doom with everything. But the bad thing about all this is, people see this and so they try by every means necessary to keep this facade up and running with even more and more burden on the people and on nature just to not make it crash, because if it does then hell will literally break loose. And so they try and try to get a few more years of luxury and prosperity, resulting in drowning resources even more and thus even more increasing the severity of the oncoming crisis. In long term this will result in probably the worst of all, which is a slow and painful economic descent that involves the pressure continuing and ever increasing (because people want desperately the economy to be held up and not break and more and more measures are required on the cost of everybody) while the life standard still goes down and down continuously in a slow curve. And the shit is that nobody is counting on this, they are all counting either on that it goes up, that it continues like that or that it goes BOOM, but with such a long exhaustive down-curve I doubt that people can cope with and this in fact might then result in our doom, not a spectacular bang and crash, but a long exhaustive road of pain that we all need to go down and when THEN a big nature disaster hits us, it is going to literally wipe us off the planet. We are close to the turning point of the curve now and NOBODY wants to admit and take the first step to the downfall, this is the problem! Nobody of these coward bankers, economists, capitalists has any BALLS! And this is why it's going to be prolonged, upheld and drained out to the flesh as far as possible, but it's a fake, a facade behind which these measures of "holding it up" are contributing to stretching the true curve only. And we might already have passed the peak this way and be right on the downward curve already while nobody notices. What's behind? We don't know. That's not a conspiracy theory or anything, it's simple reality that this is all a game, an entertainment show where experts hand the door handle to each other and tell us something of "measures to keep the economy up" and something utopic about a levered Euro protection fund (A LEVERED protection fund. How on EARTH do you lever a protection fund so that it has more money than before out of nowhere if you don't buy more of these "casino" junk papers that actually are responsible for the crisis?!). And they even admit it, right on TV that "in situation of crisis you may not tell the truth to people". I literally saw a politican explaining this to us on the news yesterday. That is nothing but Platon's Cave right here and in front of all our eyes. Turn the fuck around, people! and then you see what's going on.
  22. Absolutely... I know we kinda should to do something about it. We need to. And everytime when I read such statements and comments like that, I do think that I'm going to do this and that ... in the end it ends up that I don't have the time or the energy and then it stays like it is, for my part at least. I think the past forum politics have made this place rather something serious, where you only come to discuss music and a bit of other things, but the majority of off topic happenings have been put aside to other forums and communities. And that's why it is still not very busy here and it stays like that. There was a development in the past years and you can't just revert it in a few months, actually I think you'll never revert it... But on the other side it's also nice, for this forum has gained seriousness in its reputation ... reviews and music discussion (psyNEWS of the scene) are our core competences. And maybe we can extend that even further with some current ideas that are flowing around (on the other hand these ideas require work again and well, you know what I said about that above, but still). ... Anyway, that was probably a bit too much rambling for me. Feel free to disucss elsewhere ... I for my part say a big welcome to you guys that find here or come back here. And also to Phobium ... although I'm late
  23. Eating chocolate and listening to: Need to chill after the stress of the day. Fortunately not negative stress, but rather positive one. Still, I'm tired ... will go to sleep soon...
  24. Thanks for feedback. I just was editing my sig a bit and I experienced a hang of kinda the whole site. It all was blank, oddly it concerned all pages. I immediately checked with other browser and saw it was not the site, but my browser (Opera 10.5x)... Had to close the browser and reload to make this disappear. So be careful when updating your sig or anything ... just to mention it.
  25. Wow, this one is awesome! I like it a lot. Has album cover qualities, seriously... Keep up the good work!
