Will check out Can you specifically name the albums that are most close to what I'm looking for?
-
Yeah so I've completely fallen in love with this album. It's helped me tremendously past week. I need recommendations to similar type of (mostly beatless) drone/ambient. I'm NOT looking for the "spacey" noisy/tinny drone albums(For example Blanck mass), I'm looking for more deep dreamy atmospheres like TwentyThree. Shit I really wish CBL would make another one of these.

She's a freaky one.

Slide's a little underrated.

This album is super floaty/uplifting. Not that that's a bad thing, I am looking forward to testing this out when snow falls and it gets cold as all hell. The first compilation only struck me when I was biking during the summer and found myself enjoying it quite a bit. Also + respect for the first Psychowave track. It's feels so much like Hallucinogen it's not even funny. I'm really curious if it was just a one time thing or if he can keep making more tracks like this. Just lovely.

I am looking forward to this quite a bit. No full-on!

I didn't even realize he had a solo ep. The melodies in Blue Star are very familiar, I just can't put my finger on it where I've heard them before. Btw scandinasia, the purple you used is a little too dark on the "deviant" forum skin. Makes reading it a little hard. The Ovnimoon & Rigel album is one of my favourites this year, definitely.

Fantastic EP and a fantastic artist. I really hope he'll do a full goa-influenced album like this EP.

Track at 8:00 is Laibach - Final Countdown (juno reactor remix) I really wanna know the track at 18:30 tho, hope someone recognizes it. That climax!
-
That's a really cool video! I wanna know the tracknames too. Track at 18:30 has some emotional melodies. It's definitely a mix of different genres he's playing there.

I found it a tad sad most of the artists are already well known and in fact suntrip artists. There's loads of great neogoa bangers that are less known that imo deserved to be on the release much more than the established names. I don't know what kind of deal you guys had with this release as "collaboration" was mentioned, but my personal expectations were a bit different. As for the tracks themselves it's an alright selection though a little on the safe as was brought up already, new mastering definitely made a few sound a bit better. Tracks 3, 4 and 5 are the highlight for me, a little darker more serious tones. The downtempo ender was really solid too.

Saying "part" in a track doesn't necessarily indicate anything.

Artifact303 - Its time for a follow up

He has really fantastic production and melodies for sure. I would love to hear a full album of his goa with downtempo/trance elements like in these tracks Hell maybe even double album with CD1 being darker stuff like "Levitation Device, Close Encounter" and then CD2 of the stuff above. Ahh one can dream. -

Well I expected a little more varied package. A Darker neogoa release should get a pass by default, but even with it's darker tone, the album as a whole gets a little slushy. The tracks that underperform either show lack of variance and/or seem to just have averagely safe and predictable melodies. A notable example of a let-down is Infernal Candyflip, I really enjoyed it until the last segment at 6:29 that just detaches everything and gets too light-hearted and predictable. Now the tracks that do perform, perform really well. When the melodies do work, the whole package gets lifted and it's really refreshing to hear new goa with darker tones and basically darkpsy basslines. Noteworthy tracks include In A Shade Of Dadrrount'got, Infinite Freedom(channeling "Lost Buddha" ), Spiritual Experience and the ever so brilliant Ramayana collaboration with Alienapia which is absolutely a stellar track with epic swirling leads. The sound quality is fine and the cover art makes this a very tempting purchase. It's worth a listen, but as a whole the album is pretty average in my opinion so don't go in expecting something like the debut of Alienapia, which was a bit of an instant classic. However, that's not to write Psy-H Project off, in fact I see much potential with this act and I am looking forward to their future endeavors.

Enders Game If there was a perfect fit for the phrase "heavy handed" then this movie is it. There's practically no subtlety in the writing. Everything is exposed in a previous scene like "look, this is how it actually is, now act surprised when you find out". I don't know who they were aiming this movie for but as an adult it was just so simplistic in it's delivery of the plot. It really doesn't help it feels like significant plots and themes were cut/cut short from the story for the movies sake. However I found it very entertaining. It was a visually fantastic movie! Some of the scenes and how it was filmed and planned out were really striking and emotional. I also loved how contrasted the visual design was. The acting was good too. I can recommend the movie to any scifi fan but if you also read books then I'd recommend that over the movie by far. I'm genuinely interested in reading it myself.

Shakta - Retroscape (SUNCD34)
Penzoline replied to Anoebis's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Yes yes! I've been wanting to hear Somaton with remaster, it's great music but super flat sound on most of the releases. This is what I mean! Remastering can do wonders to old tracks. -
Thanks a lot. I have been wondering about how it'd look printed too, I will get a chance to test on A3 paper soonish. My relative actually wanted to print the design on a shirt.
