  1. This is a pretty damn awesome compilation!!!
  2. Shankar - Live in panjim 4:36 and the godly parts starts... oh my god.... sex in my ear Original is like 9 minutes tho
  3. It's like they have a music software that generates tracks with a click of a button lol And yeah, hardly any of that is goa. Should be Full-on Vol. 24
  4. I like the painting itself but I don't like it as an album cover. Meh, it'll probably grow on me anyhoo. And feb 20th is too long D:
  5. Well I've heard Tendrils Of Pretty and Behind The Gates Of Horn And Ivory and they both sound psychedelic to me. Both of those albums do have influences ranging from industrial to idm to BigBeat to psytrance and it still sounds psychedelic all the way through imo. It's kinda like dark Juno Reactor.. kinda. Samples if you've never heard of TSDF before http://www.amazon.com/Behind-gates-ivory-s...pd_bxgy_m_img_b http://www.amazon.com/Tendrils-pretty-Synt...n/dp/B000E5MIGK Anyone have a take on it?
  6. Macrophage that is their 2nd album is brilliant(Space Dwarfs, Spaceship and Spacepeople, Dance of the Witches, I Feel, The Saw and Energia Magica are awesome) and the first album is a pretty good old school goa album. The rest are, like you said, mostly boring with some exceptions(What Comes Next, These Guys, Zwork, 380 volts, Out Of My Brain) I wish they would release more material that is as strong as they have in Macrophage.
  7. V/A Opus Iridium is the best compilation of 2008 by far. From the art to the the tracks, it's all - mostly - wonderful. CD1 review E-Mantra - Voyager II is very crisp spacey goa with a hint of mysteriousness and a progressive sound - just that the only problem is that it never reaches it's destination. Every single time I listen to it I leave un-satisfied, waiting for the real ending. But overall it's still Very good - ending might be lacking, but the journey is great. Update 24.5.09: Going back to this I must say, with a better ending, this could have been close to a masterpiece. It lacks a true climax. Shakta - Ten Times Around The sun is what you'd except, 1997 shakta with 2008 production quality, it's fantastic. A true old school classic released in 2008. Filteria - Birds Lingva Franca is a track that I was looking very much forward to hearing and it is un-questionably the pinnacle of Filteria sound up until now. The climax is so out of this world, I feel an Arabic and Russian influence in it, and that's something I've never heard before in my time of listening Goa. My #1 track of 2008! Also I'd probably go completely mental if I heard this in a live set. I really hope the 3rd album gives us more of this kind of madness. Artifact303 - Feelings, what can I say, uplifting super melodic with crisp true-to-the-last-bone Goa sounds. 303 all the way. Killer track that reached my top 4 of 2008 best tracks. Ajna - The Art Of Happiness is the debut track from Ajna, again a very high quality Goa track. It's more psychedelic and feels more intelligent, in a way, than the other one's that were heard earlier. Pretty good, just that the latter part is not on par with the earlier part. Radical Distortion - The Dreamer is amazing, this is the one that really makes me want to dance. Not anything like the earlier Radical Distortion, this is the goa Radical Distortion. Easily their best track up until now and in my top10 best tracks of 2008 Afgin - From The Heart is also a good track, definitely different from the rest as it's a lot more harmonic and slower. The track starts for me around the 5 min mark, after that it's really good, but before it's not really as I get really impatient with it. And that's the problem with this track, it evolves too slow/is too long for it's own good. Ethereal - Moondawn is the longest track on CD1, the only downtempoish one and it's also the most repetitious. Saying most repetitious from this batch of tracks isn't saying much, so I need to clarify, it's REALLY repetitious and I don't like it because of that. It starts strong, but stays there and it wears out. Overall this compilation is super strong. It has a few instant classics like 2, 3, 4, 6, few really great tracks 1, 5 and rest being high in quality, but just good or ok. 9/10 (4/10 scale|Not an average) If anoebis or mars is reading this: Please release the back cover as high quality wallpapers, it's so wonderful!
  8. Can I make reservations by mailing ORDER@SUNTRIPRECORDS.COM? I'm currently out of money and I really want one of those God I wonder why does psynews attract so many fucktards.
  9. Hell yes, Cerealogy has such an awesome atmosphere throughout the track and it sounds very... intelligent (IDP[intelligent Dark Psy] anyone? ). To me it's the part where the Pleiadians land on earth and get out of their ships in the middle of dark cornfield and head to the forests at night. <3
  10. Etnica - Hells Kitchen Doesn't sound like etnica at all. Love it though, it's fantastic! :posford: :posford: Actually it sounds like a mix of Pleiadians and Crop Circles. o.O
  11. No problem, but it's more like I should be saying sorry, because it took so damn long. I regret that. : (
  12. Yeah I noticed how good he is a while ago. His melodies are awesome. Everyone should listen to his track, Blazar on the free compilation Jelly Marbles http://www.phototropicrecords.com/jellymarbles.php Direct link to download http://phototropicrecords.voellig.org/VA_-...PTRCD01_ogg.rar
  13. Sundown reeks of goa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4lc_2MpMI4 There was a remix of it that was even better, too bad it's been taken off on youtube and I lost it with my old pc.

    RA - 9th

Ra - 9th is Deep, Soulful, Harmonic, Soft, Beautiful, Uplifting, Transcending, Epic, Eastern influenced Goa-trance. It also manages to be pinnacle of pioneered quality modern day Goa-trance with all of it's tracks... such quality... Favourites are Octagon, Other Self, Ultima Energica, Time Current, Spirit Complex, Trancendent and Light receiver. I get such a great feelings when I listen to them - warmth, safeness and gladness. Nods to Intro also being really good, but I don't consider it as part of this review as it simply is like a part of Octagon in a way. The best of the best here are definitely Trancendent and Light receiver. Which is also quite ironic as Trancendent is the most epic and 'hardest' out of all the tracks and Light Receiver on the other hand is the most chilled, magical and, at times, mysterious, downtempo track. Both are, simply put, Trance, in every sense of the word. Closing my eyes, relaxing and playing those tracks is a wonderful experience. Bom Shankar, truly - Bom Shankar! We need more of this! 9.8/10(4/10 scale) (Why -0.2? 2 tracks, Expand Consciousness and The Predator, didn't manage to fit in my "favourites" category, even though they are very good. Funnily enough, the downsides of both was the repetitiousness, it can be a deal breaker a lot of the times, here it luckily is not, but it still takes a little away from them.)

Here are the wallpaper sizes http://gasolin3.deviantart.com/art/Ultimator-100551702 http://gasolin3.deviantart.com/art/BirdsLi...ranca-100550896 http://gasolin3.deviantart.com/art/Batter-100549366 http://gasolin3.deviantart.com/art/PPZ-100548495 http://gasolin3.deviantart.com/art/Trip-100548811
  18. Sorry it took so long but I somehow forgot always to do this. Well tomorrow I will post PPZ, Trip, Ultimator and Batter WP packs. Also very soon I'll be posting Filteria - [insert title here] EP artwork(4 parts, Front, back and inlay's) that I made for fun and few more pieces that are getting released in Actoneart's artpack: scene2
  19. Hybrid - Soundsystem 01 I suck at in-depth reviews so I'll just hook one up for you guys http://blogcritics.org/archives/2008/08/20/100056.php Snippet - I personally definitely liked it a lot. The cinematic mood(IDM, Movie Score, Ambient mixed together) of CD1 was amazing, almost stunned by how well and wonderfully was it all put together and how much quality there was. CD2 consists of quality tracks also, but it's not an experience like the first, it's more of a club oriented set. There were, like in all of Hybrids sets, few "not my cup of tea" tracks(Only 2, though). Just too bad we got this instead of a 4th Hybrid album. I Choose Noise was released back in 06 and that's just too long ago, I need more genuine Hybrid!
