  1. I've never understood that logic, but I'm not complaining, Tony Rohr is so much better than progressive psytrance.
  2. An album that was supposed to be released 06/06/06 and includes Becoming Insane is guaranteed to be retarded. End of discussion.
  3. Process is/was one of the most talented artists in this scene. The One Drop or Two album is a modern masterpiece; a unique sound, psychedelic atmospheres and baselines that are insanely captivating. The follow up album was a bit uneven though, still some really good tracks.
  4. Mixmaster Morris = The Irresistible Force
  5. It's Tomorrow Already is an excellent Mixmaster Morris album!
  6. Since psytrance suck it's no wonder that "psy trance with half the speed" also sucks. Any way, I can only agree. I strongly dislike the ethnic new age crap that is labeled as psy chill these days. Native State Records is one of the most interesting labels right now, try them. A lot more interesting then Interchill and Aleph Zero.
  7. Enough! Release it and stop teasing us!
  8. Just look at the cover... Wizzy Noise have mastered their sound but lost the spirit.
  9. On Raja Ram's new Shitbag compilation (no 4) there's a Shpongle remix of Out Here We Are Stoned by E-Rection/X-dream: Samples @ Saikosounds Samples @ Psyshop Tracklist @ TIP World The Shitbag cover (I know it's been posted before):
  10. Could someone please confirm this?
  11. The GBU samples were so good, but the actual release isn't that exciting. Twisted might be back on track, but the track they have choosen isn't twisted at all. I'm still hoping the Prometheus album will be twisted and psychedelic...
  12. The second half of the album (where Ian Ion is involved) is good and a bit technoish, but the rest (without Ian Ion) is overall uninspiring full on. Since Ian Ion is not part of Koxbox any more future Koxbox material will at best be uninspiring full on. I'm all for crossing the boundaries of genres but I just don't see that happening with the "new Koxbox".
  13. Why did he switch from Twisted to Nano?
  14. The correct MySpace link is: http://myspace.com/tristancooke
  15. Listen to Deedrah's and Absolum's solo work, or listen to their collaboration with Frank E on the new "Koxbox" album, does it make you excited? Didn't think so.
  16. A CD release would be great, until then MP3 will have to do. Oh, btw, highly enjoyable album!

  18. One of the best albums of 2005. High quality weirdness.

    Koxbox - U-Turn

Tracks 1-4: Average Tracks 5-9: Above average Because of the many collaborations this is not a journey album, and that's a disappointment. A non-journey album can still be a solid album, but this one fails to be that because of the first four average/filler tunes. We should expect a lot more from an Eat Static + Frank E and Absolum, Deedrah + Frank E combo. Reminder: Frank E and Ian Ion used to be Koxbox. Frank E and friends, that's something different.
  21. Tracklist, bitte.
  22. I wouldn't be too sure about that, Twisted seems to be on track again. Koxbox was released on time and if they manage to keep the release date for GBU then Prometheus should most likely also be released on time.
  23. Like a rhino that realized it wasn't flying after all, it was just falling and earth was its inevitable destination.
  24. His previous album is indeed great, but I'm glad he decided to try something different. I would not have bought another Ocelot album if he had stuck to the same sound. A related example is Penta, his debut was great but the second album was just more of the same and I can't be bothered with that. Ocelot's new direction seems fresh and interesting to me. There's still the Ocelot weirdness in the music, but this time with melodies, a winning combination if you ask me. My opinion may change when I've heard the full album, but so far, the samples have cought my attention.
