Thanks for reminding me about the existence of the Afrotrance track - haven't heard it in ages, still an absolute banger.1 point

Cydonia is one of those group that somehow don't get mentioned enough despite the fact that they are one of the legendary dark goa groups. They have such a badass sound. My favourite track however is by a side project of them. Un-fucking-believable1 point

The The Only Process is very strong truck and still sounds great after 25 years!1 point

I see the excel tracklists, they look good. We may disagree on the term melodic, but it's definitely my type of music. I'm not a YouTube user though, never managed to get in to YouTube, can't listen to more than one track on the platform. Now if someone could put these tracklist in to a mix and make that downloadable, that would be great π Asking too much? Yeah, ignore more π1 point

Hi everyone. This site has been a huge part of my life over the years and helped me discover massive amounts of great music. I've enjoyed crafting reviews (a lot of them silly) and interacting with other people. I don't visit like I used to as we all get older and distracted with this thing called life. I just wanted to float a topic and see what members still visit and how many new fans of psytrance are here. I'll start: Mdk from USA! Mdk1 point

... back and nailed it with Ticon - Mirage starting to play at precisely 21:00 local time ... (by the minute at least ... not bragging but you have to be very lucky to get that right, queue wasn't empty) ... it is as predicted that my videos are inertwined with other enqueued stuff, but that's just the game we play with this community-open space - all good ... will stay up with this project every last tuesday of the month if you are open for new things, Banano is a great thing to learn this "cryptocurrency" stuff and how it really works - that is because it has not the greatest of value and therefore you can afford to make mistakes, which you will inevitably make ... it's honestly mind-blowing if you understand it, a little scary even. The data is always there, worldwide and if you have the key you can do something with that data, no matter where you are ... so even if you are stranded naked in a foreign country and remember the key it's all still available. The money you use is just coloured paper that a bunch of people assign value1 point

Yep, if the quality of those clips translates to the experience of listening to the whole album then I would say, provisionally, this could be an amazing achievement. To equal or even surpass classics like Another World, taking enough of their old style yet evolving it, this could be quite something. Let's hope it is!1 point
-
Wow. I liked the samples a lot more than I thought I would. It's not old AP, but not should it be. It kind of harks back to their original style but still evolved nice. An enlightened evolution if you will.1 point

It sounds promising but, I have doubts. I don't think they will go that massive step from tit3 to dancing galaxy, nor from dg to another world. And certainly not from aw to Amen. Can they reinvent themselves one more time?1 point
-
Yeah. I've always thought this was a more interesting project than Shpongle and always hoped for a follow up. There's the second album of alternate versions and a few new tracks but it's not really a follow up.1 point

Friends, today we will tell you about our further plans regarding the compilation. As you already know, we have released the first part consisting of 6 discs and is, at the moment, the largest release released on CD in the Goa Trance style. If you completely open the box of this disc, you will see a cross-shaped geometric figure. This figure will represent the central part of the overall epic picture. The subsequent parts of the compilation will be designed in such a way that they will be attached to the central part like "Tetris". Therefore, we strongly recommend that all collectors who have not purchased the first part, be sure to purchase it, because your future collection will be missing the main element. We have warned you, there are less than 100 copies left: https://globalsect.bandcamp.com/album/va-hallucinations-of-the-buddha-6cd The release will consist of 5 parts, each of which will include 6 discs. Elena Danaan claims to be in real-live contact with some extraterrastrials. In her books she tells about her visits to Venus and Jupiter. Sometimes the extraterrestrials tell her about events that will happen in our solar system, e.g. an earth-quake on Mars or a scientific discovery that will be made in a few weeks time. There is a website with these fact-checks https://thewebmatrix.net/elenadanaan.html . As I wrote before the first book describes a lot of alien races complete with drawings. A lot of these are human, they look like us but with some minor of major variations. Some can be taller, others have slightly different facial features like wider eyes or a higher fore-head. The way a species look depends on a lot of factors. The power or the light of the sun or chemical elements that are present on a planet. There is a planet where people have a green tint because of the abundance of manganese. Than there are also intelligent reptillian or insectoid species. The type of species does not say anything about their intentions. There are also hybrids. Humans with reptillian features or beings that are part insectoid and part human.1 point

Too Much Data - T.M.D HOM-Mega Productions β HMD220 One half of MFG, Aharon Segal has teamed up with Chen Shmuel a.k.a. Atmik for this new Goa trance project. 1. Too Much Data β Deep Happiness 6:54 2. Too Much Data β Breaking Rules 8:00 3. Too Much Data β Runing In Circles 8:23 4. Too Much Data β Do You See Stars 7:26 5. Too Much Data β Change Of Direction 7:45 6. Too Much Data β State Of Mind 8:25 7. MFG β To Eternity (Too Much Data Remix) 8:32 8. Too Much Data β Circus Of Life 7:27 9. Too Much Data β Tmd 7:34 I am putting this up as a mini review for now so that others have a chance to listen and add their own reflections, as I am short on time currently. I need to give it a few more listens for it to sink in but my initial impression is extremely high quality sounds, loads of nice acid combined with the trademark MFG slightly dark sort of robotic sound effects and some great melodies and hard beats and basslines. When you have been saturating your brain with as much Goa as I have, it becomes difficult to rate new content fairly when 95% of it is slight variations of sounds and patterns you have heard thousands of times before. But paradoxically, if you are like me you will still find yourself seeking out these classic sounds over and over again. The way I rationalize it is someone who reviews classical music can't really complain about being sick of the piano, if that makes sense. Anyway, this album has loads of the classic acidic Goa sound. I find it very easy to listen to. It does not at any point get irritating and even the more generic bits are not boring. If I listened to this with a fresher pair of ears I would probably rate it nine out of ten or higher, so it is good stuff. State of Mind has some catchy synth melodies and voice samples and is one of the tracks I enjoyed the most. Circus of Life has a nice bassline, some lovely bubbly acid and a delightfully rough drum beat. I may add some thoughts on the other tracks when I get some more time. Overall this is an exciting album and I will definitely be listening to it a lot more. Provisional score: 8/10 https://hommega.bandcamp.com/album/t-m-d1 point

Hi there a bit of a pity that you are the only one posting in this thread ... you seem to be doing the same that I did on TranceAddict: a thread to note down good trax to "collect" (I did it not for Rap though)... I do not have psytrance for you, but I can recommend you the album Red Seal - Black Ops, it's phenomenal ... they fusioned rap/dub with psybient. Specifically this: or Oh and you might like H.GichT ... because I think you understand German ... but it doesn't matter much if not I also recommend to look there by the way - also for the H.GichT:1 point

I'm a little disappointed with the lack of reviews for this one. Not sure why, as I know SkyTech definitely had hype behind him. I was going to write a very long review for this but it's just sitting on the back burner for ages and for some reason I'm having a hard time even starting. Sky Technologys debut was actually planned as far back as 2012 originally, but due to multiple issues it got delayed quite a bit and it's sound evolved a bit toward the nitzo kicks and style from goa because of the label it was being released on, but it's definitely more in the realm of goa than nitzo. I've been listening some of these tracks for like 4 years already and what strikes me is that, well, I'm still listening to them from time to time. I loved his first EP. It had such raw explosive melodies, one's that resonated with my brain so well I couldn't help but to become a follower who ended up doing a logo for him and then the artwork for the albums. What I really enjoyed about the process of the album coming together was the story. The tracknames correlate with the little story found in the booklet really well and I created the artwork to resonate with the idea as well. About the music, I still love many of the tracks, regardless of hearing them hundreds of times. Some of them definitely took me quite a while to appreciate when I originally heard them. Sky Technology sometimes lacks the finesse some other artists have, but he makes up for it with the melodies and unique sounds. The climaxes on this album are some of the best in goatrance ever made, in fact some of them are probably my favourite climaxes ever. Just listen to the climaxes of Magnetic Force, Broken Music Box, Sands Of The Desert and Babat Sink. The sheer explosive energy and rawness. I don't know how he does it, but he does. I just wish he got more recognition for creating such powerful tunes. This was my favourite album of 2015, excluding IFO remaster. And on that note, it might seem a bit biased as I was working so close to this project, but there's a reason why.1 point

I only bought this one because of abasio's infinte praise :clapping: In fact, Hymn has become my all time favorite ambient tune, and I urge any fan of soothing and relaxing music to purchase this land mark album! This isn't much of a review, but I hope I'll get away with this post, since I wrote a more thorough analysis ^^^1 point

Track List 1 Hicksville (7:35) 2 Stargate Avalon (1:32) 3 Jade Garden (7:38) 4 Shwazz (8:59) 5 Fifth Level (4:36) 6 Khatmandu (7:43) 7 Mundis Imaginalus (7:50) 8 Louden (3:22) 9 Darshannon (6:10) Simon Posford & Youth. Sounds like shpongle might have sounded if there was no Raja Ram. I actually prefer this to Shpongle, it has more staying power. 1 Hicksville Like psychedelic hick music it really is. Country bumpkin guitar & all those country elements I usually hate but masterfully produced into a great psychedelic track. 2 Stargate Avalon This track is noisy. No tune, no beat just lots of noises. It's short it's filler. 3 Jade Garden I stumbled upon the philosopher's stone. I had the veil of illusion pulled back & was confronted by the many levels of energy & many realms of consciousness which are available to men. I opened a pandora box of multiple realities. The intro sets a trippy atmosphere continued by the music. It reminds me of a UFO sighting, Roswell or something. 4 Shwazz A very soft 'background if you let it' track. This is one of those tracks which can be amazing if you focus on it but if your attention is diverted then it hardly registers. It has very slow beats, cool background noises & some really nice soft guitars. 5 Fifth Level Another very soft trippy track. A lack of beats & strong slow synths give a very wide open space feeling. Towards the end it reminds me of an indian reservation mixed with x-file sci fi. 6 Khatmandu I really like the guitar in this track, a nice melody. This starts beatless but a slow lethargic beat comes in during the 2nd half of the track. 7 Mundis Imaginalus Sounds like a hick sat on the front porch looking out at his enchanted swamp & playing a song on his guitar as a tribute to his lost youth. Quite a melancholic melody, some beats come in, very big but very soft. Magic. 8 Louden Another very nice guitar melody but the track is far too short. It could be much longer, excellent music. Some violin comes intowards the end teasing you but the track then just stops. 9 Darshannon I like this track. It is quite good but I just don't know what it's doing on this album. It's a fast dancefloor track, not chilled at all like the rest of the album. Can be quite shock if you are in a nicely chilled out mind set & this suddenly comes on So all in all there is great great music here. I think though that track 2 should be omitted completely & the last track should have been released on an up tempo celtic cross album (which could have been quite cool) & they should have been replaced by tracks more in line with the feeling of the other tracks.
