Personally I’m #ProIsrael, AND #FreePalestine. I’m against this terrifying longtime war-time idea of a Greater Israel, and so both Israel and palestine deserves to exist -in peace and normality / harmony … ANTI-NAZIONISM. https://openletter.earth/psytrance-in-solidarity-528f1d8e Update 24 September 2025 Please make sure to confirm your signature! We refuse to contradict the values from which the psytrance scene was born, and support the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice and equality under the 78‑year‑old occupation by an apartheid state. As members of the global psytrance community, we ask you to join the growing critical mass by signing this letter to pledge your support and solidarity with the people of Palestine. We are at the height of a global reckoning – a watershed moment. We have witnessed massive waves of solidarity for the Palestinian people across nearly every musical genre, with independent creators and renowned industry figures condemning the atrocities unleashed by the Israeli government. Yet the psytrance scene stands alone: with its close ties to Israel, it remains shrouded in silence and complicity. Major psytrance promoters and artists have scarcely spoken out against the staggering loss of Palestinian lives as Gaza continues to be devoured in an apocalyptic blaze reminiscent of multiple Hiroshimas. This deafening silence means the psytrance scene will go down in history as complicit unless it unites in solidarity against this unthinkable atrocity. We understand that this silence is rooted in the belief that standing with Palestine betrays the friends we lost on October 7 at the Nova Festival and those still being held hostage, and that any compassion for Gazans could be mistaken for support for Hamas. While we unequivocally condemn the horrific attacks that shattered our community that day and feel for suffering of the hostages, we cannot remain silent about the catastrophic violations of human rights and international law unfolding in Gaza. Ultimately, the truth about this live-streamed genocide is impossible to ignore. We stand with the global movement opposing Gaza’s destruction and the mass displacement of the Palestinian people, and we denounce every attempt by complicit governments and cultural institutions to normalise the greatest human‑rights violation ever witnessed in our lifetimes. Together, we must fight to end the occupation, stop the genocide and dismantle apartheid. https://openletter.earth/psytrance-in-solidarity-528f1d8e Sign this letter to show your support for the people of Palestine. It's sad that I have to resurrect a 23 year old (TWENTY THREE) thread to get the discussion moving. This track is still one of my all time favourites, but is there anything recent that feels like this?2 points

I think amen is exceptional. Chaos, Elecric Blue, Heavens Gate, Sticks and Stones, ETechnodrome and The Nexus are very good tracks. The best tracks of Astral Files are all except Enlightened Evolutio and Ambience, altough Ambience is very good and Enlightened Evolution is only good.2 points
-
I think it's not. I prefer TiT 2, 3 and Astral Files. My favorites is from those years. Enlightened Evolution, Zero, In-Novation, People Can Fly, Utopia, Mahadeva and some more. =))2 points

Oh boy, I have happily overlooked that thread, not believing ... because, face it, since when are we waiting? Tell me otherwise, it feels almost like 20 years of wait! But now it really is out and I am on the first spin of a few tracks, liking it a lot. I'm not going to open all of this package at once ... I don't believe we will get another one soon It feels so good to read here! From the announcement to release comments, the banter about the mastering ... love you all ... love that we have made it here, all the ones that did. After all I've been though lately this feels super super good, I tell you that, balm on my soul Himalaya is a very good track.2 points

I share the sentiment - it’s nice, atmospheric and nostalgic, but there are no real surprises. Nevertheless, I’m glad to see them back with new music after all these years. What I really dislike is the mastering - everything is so loud, and every sound layer is maxed out in terms of volume. Dynamically, it’s almost flat - just a hard wall of sound - and for me, that ruins the otherwise top-level production. There’s no fidelity. They did the same thing with Goa Classics Remixed. I guess it sounds “better” on (cheap) Bluetooth earbuds and headphones, which most people use. I tried it on both Tidal and Deezer - it sounds the same. Hopefully, the vinyl master will be different.2 points

This is one of the best tracks I've heard in ages (the other best tracks were mostly by Clementz) and obviously the older version is better. I feel like there's more midrange to bring out those colorful melodies!1 point

1998 auracle dat version one is better than the other 😃 (disregard youtube compression)1 point

oh nice to see some love here from those guys. into the sun has always been a fav of mine not sure if its the crowd sample that makes it sound so underground and legendary. such a wonderful magical psychedelic track. thanks for reminding me.1 point

It sounds ...OK. Just OK. I enjoyed the tracks Squelch, Electrosurge and Transmitter mainly for the acid lines and the layering and would give those tracks about 6/10. I get what you mean about it sounding generic. That can be a problem for a lot of new Goa but these guys should probably know better. It could do with a bit more variety from track to track and a few more surprises but maybe that is not what they were going for. I must admit the opening track was my least favorite as I got a bit bored until I skipped to the climax which was better. I am not disappointed because I am still not really a Filteria or Cosmosis fan. If RA released something like this I would be bawling my eyes out! I did not mind listening to the whole thing, there were enough good bits to entertain me. 4.5/101 point

I used to love that track! (well, the original. not sure I've listened to the remix) Totally forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me! 😃1 point

Agree on your review. Thanks for posting this. I'll be listening some more but first impressions were solid. Pretty nice production as well considering how dense it is. Also I saw HOMmega have done a bunch of recent releases. Haven't really viewed them for a while, gonna dig back in.1 point

My sense of time is as good as my sense of smell.... Actually last year my father-in-law gave me covid and since then I have had no sense of smell and a reduced sense of taste, so I literally have no idea if I smell or not. I am reliant on people being honest. I think it's ok as random people don't move away from me on the train when another seat opens up...1 point

Just look how steep those Bulgarian mountains are Beautiful steep mountains that are fitting for all Astral Projection tracks of the album "For all mankind", and especially for the album "The Astral World" Just look how small the houses are and how big the mountains are Steep mountains far away for all beautiful astral Projection tracks of the album "for all mankind" So what do you think aboutt those Bulgarian mountains? The location, the village, is called Yurkovo, close to the small town Jakoruda.I think the mountains are very steep and are fittingvery well to the new album Astral Projection- For all mankind J ourney back from Jakoruda in expensive new Setra bus. The bus went only to Razlog. Than I Cought the bus to Blagoevgrad, my home town. The mountains in Jakoruda are a big higher ,but not as steep as in Yurkovo. Steep mountains from the near. Very beautiful mountains with very beautiful mountain slopes, which are very steep and flat grass just under the mountains which I like a lot.Very beautiful for the track Himalaya of the new album For all mankind.1 point

Longread on our site. Interview with Morioun https://globalsect.org/b/interview-with-morioun/ In this interview, we are delighted to introduce one of the brightest and most talented musicians of the new wave of Goa Trance — Daniel Lübke. Despite his young age, he has already released a number of remarkable records, founded his own label, and become a member of a band exploring the realm of Psychedelic Rock. With artists like him, the future of Goa Trance is in safe hands. Enjoy!1 point

Oh, you totally get it, my friend. The sound is overcompressed, pushed well beyond a reasonable level, and it's just pure garbage. Just look at the soundwave graphs.. 😳 I have no idea why they did this. Maybe decades of loud parties damaged their hearing? The only way to fix this would be for them to release another master with less compression and more dynamic range. But the CDs and vinyls are already printed, I'm afraid.1 point

sounds like a tin can! its mastered so loud that youtube turns it down making it sound quiet. its so pushed to the limits. doesnt feel good on the ears at all! what have they done! meh. who cares anymore. well i do. the music itself might be good but the sound isnt good. oh well. it is what it is. heres to hoping it will sound good several years from now. maybe i just dont get it.1 point

Well look at what the cool people out there dug out years later ... I just figured I'd share this with you: Anybody remembers Nemo? I was not super close to him or anything, but one thing I'll never forget what he said about a musician who was yet to become (and now is) one of my biggest favourites. "Anthony Rother's way to make music is one of a kind." .... probably not the exact quote, but that's what I remember. Many, many, many years later I was about to find out what Nemo meant by that --- when I found the answer in an interview that Rother gave himself. Well, he was right: Rother makes and listens to music in a very unique way... Nemo knew that before me. Enjoy the mix R.i.P. Nemo <31 point

What the motherfucking fuck? How glad am I that I am browsing threads from years and years since. I have everything from Gus Till on bandcamp except this which I was completely unaware of, and it was going to be released on FRR before it folded. I think I just came. Instabuy and it's pay what you want....sploosh1 point

I enjoy this combined project throughout and I can play it from start to finish. For the time being my favorite is probably Liquid Love, but I will have to listen to it more times. I have to say this I feel like the predominant of this album is the Filteria style of sound with traces of Cosmosis. It does not beat any of the artists best albums - Daze of Our Lives, Cosmology, Synergy. The best way I can describe how it sounds to my ears is a mix of Filteria's Lost in the WIld mixed with Cosmosis - Psychedelica Melodica, which is not a bad thing! Highly recommended for fans of ether artist.1 point

very underestimated artist IMO. This is one of the best psy albums I have!! It's some very mellow psy, which turns to chill-out at times, but incredibly trippy, with loads of oriental influences. All tracks are very well built, melodies have a nice progression. Best tracks: Buddha Raga (BTW don't let the title fool you, it isn't reggae at all, not even dub!!) and Journey To Hunabku which kinda reminds me of TIP - Mystical Experiences. 10/10 oh and also I don't think this should be compared to Shpongle, I find it's quite different from the Shpongle style, so don't think it's some sort of bad imitation or anything.1 point
