I like the sequencing. It's like a warm-up DJ set. Starts a bit slow and evolves and ends a bit more energetic to lead into the next set. Once the disk is over, put on something more engaging. I also find, even though the BPM is a bit faster, it pulses slow. It's a nice vibe. But I do respect and understand the frustration if you were enjoying the chill out vibes and wanted that to solely continue. That's where the second/remix album comes into play. It is all chill and mellow

It has a darker mood and to me has a slight vibe of 90s nighttime acid techno as well. I'm having second thoughts somewhat about the piano and the ultra long intro, but it wakes up around the 3 minute mark I promise!

Darshannon is a fantastic Irish jig. I take your point but I love it and for me it does fit the style of the rest of the album if not the tempo.

Yeah definitely not a proper follow up and how can you call it Hicksville without the Hicksville track? On the other hand, I am glad we've got those remixes. I wonder what the odds are of them making one more Celtic Cross release in the future? Nah I must be nuts!

Sorry that you got absolutely nothing from your first post here. It should have been a fanfare "woohoo, a new member, please talk our ears off" But it looks like there's not much going on here. There was fake radi, there is me for however long this run lasts, there is a smattering of other posts and a huge tonne of lurkers (I can see you guys not logged in) ANyway, thank you for taking the time to say hello, please browse the reviews and say something in the forums.

On a Shpongle kick, I have actually listened to most of their albums today, currently on the Cosmic Trigger remixes. Very nice blend, definitely worth getting if you want new music.

This is like me, the guilty meat eater. I would love to be vegetarian, but I like meat too much. If they could produce a synthetic substitute that really tasted the same, I would love it. Until then...

Kpop Demon Hunters Another movie I watched with my daughter. She's not in to Kpop, but she is in to demos and hunters and things that go bump. I actually enjoyed it, it's about a kpop band that are actually demon hunters, here to protect us from the hordes that would feast on our souls. Said hordes send up their own rival pop group (a boy band) to steal their fans and take over the world. It was a nice movie, fun and easy to watch. There is no Kpop in it, everything is Korean American, in English and decidedly American pop. The songs though are ridiculously catchy and I can see why this is so popular. I hate pop music because it's catchy and gets stuck in my head and I now despise one of the songs from this movie The ending is a bit lame in that everything happens to easily. Even my daughter, who's 10, said it shouldn't have been that easy. Worth a watch, especially if you have kids you want to watch a movie with together, it's not too kiddy, as an adult who hates pop music, I still liked it.

After the gloominess of that last track, this must be my most upbeat and energetic Goa trance track so far. It even briefly plays notes from a major chord (😮 I know!). It culminates with a storming melody that sounds a bit like a mesmerizing piece of ancient folk music. Enjoy!

Yep, if the quality of those clips translates to the experience of listening to the whole album then I would say, provisionally, this could be an amazing achievement. To equal or even surpass classics like Another World, taking enough of their old style yet evolving it, this could be quite something. Let's hope it is!

Wow. I liked the samples a lot more than I thought I would. It's not old AP, but not should it be. It kind of harks back to their original style but still evolved nice. An enlightened evolution if you will.
