  2. On my DAW I can deactivate tracks but I can't automatically activate them partway through playback. I can work around it and it doesn't hinder the final recording, but it does mean if I have too many tracks I cannot audition everything in realtime because there would be too many plugins running.
  3. But he didn't mention "at once". It's a total number.
  4. https://backstage-secrets.com/blog/a-man-who-opened-up-a-whole-new-dimension-in-music.html The most amazing factoid in this one for me was this: My DAW starts to choke if I have more than about 40 tracks active at once. I wonder if he is having to pre-record a lot of those to audio, as 180 software synths running in parallel would just be insane, right?
  5. Today
  6. Yeah, not gonna paste it here but youtube has a transcript feature on I think all videos now. You open up the video details and a Show Transcript button is right near the bottom of that. I have a link for another interesting Posford interview from 9 years ago I am about to post and that is all text you'll be glad to hear.
  7. Any transcript of it, I like to read interviews but I don't want to listen to them. I have better things to listen to than people talk (oh how I could stop listening to people talk πŸ˜†)

    Good TV Series? Any?

I usually like that kind of thing, but maybe the characters just never grabbed me
  9. Yeah that's a nice long interview and I learned a few things I didn't know about his career. He gives some interesting insights into his creative process as well.
  10. The Expanse is a dense show. You really got to go all in with the metaphors and imagery. It's a great show but it is long (06 seasons) and kinda slow at times. The story arc that starts it off isn't the end game. If you make it through the first season and love the characters, keep going. But if you ain't feelin' it, then don't bother. Ir's real good but is not for everyone. πŸ˜ƒ

  12. Hello new comer this is a very active site but the caveat is that everyone is logged off..
  13. Fake radi? πŸ˜ͺ So that wasn't even him. So the real him he's actually dead isn't he.. I knew it.
  14. Had to come all the way to Tokyo on my day off (I work in Tokyo) to buy shoes. I have big feet and there is like one shop, the whole country that has a decent selection, in my size, with staff that know anything about shoes. Big-B if you're ever in Tokyo and need decent big shoes. I have been suffering recently because my comfortable shoes are too old and have started to break around the sole, not visibly but I can feel it, and I bought another pair near me and they just are not comfortable at all. Got 2 nice comfortable pairs of shoes I hope will last a while before my weird gait destroys them.
  15. Pantheon Did anyone watch this show? I really enjoyed it and got through it much more quickly than most shows I watch. I like the Uploaded Intelligence idea, the philosophy of "What is humanity?" and the ending, albeit rushed, hit nicely. If anyone has seen this, what are some other TV shows or movies you'd recommend? I've not watched that much anime and there is far too much to navigate sometimes. I love Ghost in the Shell / Stand Alone Complex Maybe I am just a sucker for post-humanism

    Good TV Series? Any?

Yeah, I really enjoyed the first two seasons of Foundation. Having loved the books, I was wary about going in, but I think they have handled it very well. I think a third is out now, but I haven't seen it yet. I saw the first series (or half the first series) of the Expanse but it was one of those shows that I enjoyed watching, but there was nothing pulling me to watch the next episode and I kind of just stopped. Is it worth picking up again?

At nearly 2 and half hours, I must confess I have not yet made it the end of this mammoth offering. Eternal is right. In short, I really like this music a lot. The first thing that strikes me as I listen to the first few tracks is they have excelled at conjuring up exciting textures. It feels deliciously gooey, soft and a little bit scratchy. In their earlier music I was impressed by the spatial effects and the same is very true here. Some of the melodies drift around as you listen and seem to take on a kind of almost 3D depth. This is very hard music, as even though the Dawn half of it is slower and mixed more softly, I feel a relentless drive in the looping patterns and continuous beats and there is a nice darkness even to the Dawn CD. The Dusk one is even harder, faster and louder. It has some great voice samples as well. No spoilers here. The only other thing is I don't totally get that cover art. Guess I need to stare at it for a while. Some kind of fairytale theme. 8.5 / 10
  19. ✨ Dear Freaks & Fairies, I’m beyond excited to finally reveal the cover of my third downtempo album, The Firefly Glow, coming your way at the end of October 2025. Huge thanks to Sati Design for this stunning artwork – she crafted it with real passion and dedication, and I couldn’t dream of a better visual to match the music. This album takes a slightly different path than my previous ones: 🌿 Two tracks drift into a more chill-out vibe, perfect for slow moments and deep relaxation. ⚑ Two others dive into trancier and more emotional territory, sure to set your mind on fire. ✨ The rest stays true to my classic psybient touch. As always, I had the pleasure of creating one special track together with the acid wizard Proxeeus, adding a unique spark to the whole journey. Samples Preview : Stay Tuned
  20. I like the sequencing. It's like a warm-up DJ set. Starts a bit slow and evolves and ends a bit more energetic to lead into the next set. Once the disk is over, put on something more engaging. I also find, even though the BPM is a bit faster, it pulses slow. It's a nice vibe. But I do respect and understand the frustration if you were enjoying the chill out vibes and wanted that to solely continue. That's where the second/remix album comes into play. It is all chill and mellow
  21. Yeah, it is great, I have put it in upbeat mixes, it's just misplaced. Chill, chill, chill, chill, BOOM! πŸ’₯
  22. I searched for it, found its website and....I am even more confused πŸ˜•
  23. Full title: The Roaming Gnomes Comb the Loamy Biomes They Call Home Here's another uptempo Goa trance track but I made this one in less than 48 hours. It has a darker mood and to me has a slight vibe of 90s nighttime acid techno as well. I'm having second thoughts somewhat about the piano and the ultra long intro, but it wakes up around the 3 minute mark I promise!
  24. Darshannon is a fantastic Irish jig. I take your point but I love it and for me it does fit the style of the rest of the album if not the tempo.
  25. Yeah definitely not a proper follow up and how can you call it Hicksville without the Hicksville track? On the other hand, I am glad we've got those remixes. I wonder what the odds are of them making one more Celtic Cross release in the future? Nah I must be nuts!

  29. ... back and nailed it with Ticon - Mirage starting to play at precisely 21:00 local time ... (by the minute at least ... not bragging but you have to be very lucky to get that right, queue wasn't empty) ... it is as predicted that my videos are inertwined with other enqueued stuff, but that's just the game we play with this community-open space - all good ... will stay up with this project every last tuesday of the month if you are open for new things, Banano is a great thing to learn this "cryptocurrency" stuff and how it really works - that is because it has not the greatest of value and therefore you can afford to make mistakes, which you will inevitably make ... it's honestly mind-blowing if you understand it, a little scary even. The data is always there, worldwide and if you have the key you can do something with that data, no matter where you are ... so even if you are stranded naked in a foreign country and remember the key it's all still available. The money you use is just coloured paper that a bunch of people assign value
