Oopie
Here's one I came across: http://www.discogs.com/Lagowski-Wire-Science/release/118283 It's from 1993 and I've never heard of it. If somebody has, any thoughts you could share?
ariScotle
Now you've got me jonesing to hear it Been scouring online to try and find it Might be a while I love the old stuff, something so organic and magic about the music then Wonder how this one will be... Thanks for the thread
Goa-Head
Psy-trance 1993 looks like a bit questionable.

Thanks for the thread Hey np. I find there are so many goa frr3aks on this forum a thread like this could turn out to be a gold mine, really. Psy-trance 1993 looks like a bit questionable. It does indeed. I'll tell my impressions after I've heard it. psytones
Hey Opiumdude, when I read your thread I got one question in mind, How did you stumble over this release? For me that would be interesting to knøw =) Psy-trance 1993 looks like a bit questionable. jesh, and if you search around enough you'll find a lot of old odd ones from ie. 93 with the label psy-trance (uselly with other labels like tribal, trance, techno) It does indeed. I'll tell my impressions after I've heard it. So like you bought it or what? You still use tight colourful pants from the 70's with swing in em? I often read reviews on discogs and this particular Lagowski album had just been reviewed. I haven't bought it yet but it's on my to-buy list. Althou I would like to hear some samples first tbh. I still have teh pants. Haven't used for a while... they lack pockets! I'm a pocket kinda guy.
psytones
yeah pants without pockets are confusing and sort of unsettling. It's nice to have somewhere to put your hands instead of only letting them dangle down by your side! ow jes, the beauty of browsing discogs to stumble over interesting releases by accident. Nice way to pass time by researching your love, music. good luck with it, hope you find some way to listen to samples, please let us know if and when you do. Trolsk
You should all look for two EP's by Genecom: Quaternary EP Silicon EP It's not obscure, it's not goa/psy, but it's something you're almost guaranted to love: uplifting melodic high energy trance. The tracks Silicon Dreams, Polyphonic Raid and Sunchase are the standout tracks.
Basilisk
I agree, those Genecom vinyls are pretty nice. What is this release like? http://www.discogs.com/Various-Ethnotechno.../release/140428 Anything good here? http://www.discogs.com/label/Omnisonus Random old stuff I've (mostly) never heard and know little about: http://www.discogs.com/Illuminatae-XVXIII/release/26984 http://www.discogs.com/South-Of-Trance-The.../release/262721 http://www.discogs.com/Vallenato-Prolog/release/169018 http://www.discogs.com/Ramin-Feat-B-Flame-...release/1309927 http://www.discogs.com/Sub-Quaker-Do-You-D.../release/193369 http://www.discogs.com/Humpback-Dog-Tooth-...l/release/63059 http://www.discogs.com/Legal-Mission-Forci...release/1449888 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Chap-1-Pri%.../release/370184 http://www.discogs.com/Ulanbator-Sputnik/release/35520 http://www.discogs.com/Internal-Terror-Bad...a/release/54705 http://www.discogs.com/Interphaze-Bitstream/release/77765 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Dungeon-Of-.../release/360991 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Yellow-Chapter-1/master/17454 http://www.discogs.com/Brainwasher-Cosmos-EP/release/457837 http://www.discogs.com/GGE-Vital-Space-Uni.../release/350859 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Trance-Mani.../release/434679 http://www.discogs.com/Suns-Of-Arqa-Govind.../release/619137 http://www.discogs.com/Various-A-Taste-Of-.../release/416806 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Hypnotic-Tr.../release/314403 http://www.discogs.com/Sundog-Psychedelic-.../release/165809 http://www.discogs.com/SMILE-Space-Music-I.../release/180710 http://www.discogs.com/Boom-Operators-2-Fe...SA/master/62604 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Trancemaste...ap/master/23139 http://www.discogs.com/DID-Alcyone/release/111736 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Tantra-Andr.../release/467710 http://www.discogs.com/Guillaume-La-Tortue...release/1324823
bwhale
D.I.D. - Alycone is really nice. There's like millions of obscure stuff. Just try browsing some people's collection on discogs like draeke, ujws, ukiro, etc.
Taika-Kim
Does somebody want to be a nice kid and point me to the first Infinity Project Vinyls? I would be very interested in hearing those... But these days without a net connection, it's quite hard to hunt for obscurities :/

Oopie
Basilisk, that's a long list you got there. Legal Mission / Forcing Tomorrow - If you take it as a trance release it's quite ok. The tracks are simple in their structure, dated in a way of course... not bad thou. You will find at least one Legal Mission track on youtube. Brainwasher / Cosmos EP - Had it and listened perhaps once. It's simply put average/below average acid (goa) trance that lacks imagination and talent. It pays to check out artists on the borders of ones favorite music genre.

I don't want to spoil your fun, but share my impressions. I remember listening to one of M.A.N.'s EPs in a used record store. It was in one of those bins you would get around to checking out if you had two hours plus spare time, willing to spend them digging through old records. To be brief - the vinyl belongs there. God forbid it ever sees the light of day again. I had an urge to listen to it, as I was acquainted with M.A.N.'s music via their tracks on V/A Tranced Out Vol. 777 and Vol. 888... Those two were bad, really damn bad. So I cannot say I share your enthusiasm. Far from it. In fact, if I ever came across that album, I don't think I would freak out or anything. Apparently it is a hard one to track down.
Basilisk
The idea that there is some super awesome old school Goa trance laying around waiting to be rediscovered is very nice and all but... I think it's all been torn up and exposed to the light by now. All you are likely to find are curiosities.

I think Movers & Shakers and Jordi (especially) are great tracks considering they're from some obscure group in 1995-1996, but I'll let others judge for themselves. Of course you're of the idea that all goa trance sucks that isn't paving the way towards hard modern psytrance, so you probably wouldn't enjoy any of them.
