The Mystery of the 13 Crystal Skulls? The turning point of Tip World. That was very, very good compilation. Since then thou they haven't released a single good album/compilation

Hey I'm not saying this isn't superb compilation! I so agree with you! :)

That one is really one of the better comps out there!

But still, it's NO WAY NEAR as good for me at least, as for Xample,

'pleiadians - ifo' or 'hallucinogen - twisted' or 200 other top notch releases! :D

(yes really, I'd definitely say that I'd find 200 releases better than tmot13cs even if it's very nice stuff. :) )

or 'panic in paradise' album! <3<3

Been raping that cd in my player non-stop like a week now! :)

It's so perfect! ZERO bad tracks! :)

But I can understand Cinos' opinion... I didn't like X-dream either few years back. I was only digging that über-melodic stuff and couldn't see the point of X-dream's music back then... but now, oh man can't just get enough! lovely jobly! ^_^

i think of it as an album more than compilation thou cos the "flow" is continuous and there's a great theme to it.. and the artists used same kind of samples/sounds.. or smth

Both actually.  :)

I'm currently in the process of trying to get all of Interchill compilations.  They don't have one bad compilation.  Talisman is currently my favorite.

and the shpongle tune from that compilation, "Saudade Pt 2" is imo on Nothing Lasts..

The version on Nothing Lasts is just over 2 minutes long, but the original is more than 6 minutes long and it's an incredible tune.

yeah i agree with u traveller..

the crystal skulls comp has a good story to it, with all artist using the same theme ...

almost sounds like an album...

to cinos: try to listen to "we created our own happiness".. there are more melodies there, so maybe u will like it more than radio or iritant :)

My favorite track off of Talisman is either the Gargoyles Evil Do'ers track or Ott's Scilly Automatic. I consider Ott the best electronic musician out right now. Just my opinion of course. Can't wait for his next full length album

And I have Flotation and its amazing. I love music soundscapes, especially another Interchill guy, Ishq. Nothing short of spectacular, that album.

Actually, the 2 minute version is on Tales of the Inexpressible, called Flute Fruit, the last track of the album.

That's one of the things that I was dissapointed with on Nothing Lasts, where the hell is Raja's magical flute?? Its defintiely not as prominant as on Are You Shpongled?

Are You Shpongled is still their true masterpiece.

Really a tough question, I love both!! When I look at my collection I have a bit more comps than albums, maybe because I don't hesitate to buy a comp when there is one track on it I really love. Even if I'm not interested in the rest of the CD (ok, I'm also doing this with albums).

I like both equaly but since I have more comps than albums I vote for compilations.
