Have fun." ok .. some people are online on irc 24/7 .. because their computers are open 24/7. but they are not in front of the computer 24/7, of course. when they are not at the computer, they add "AFK" to their nickname (AFK = away from keyboard). if you go on irc in the morning (there's not much going on there in the morning) you will see nicknames like: vnvmod|AFK, Tash|AFK, and so on. moni Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 open irc. go to Options (second yellow button from the top left) write a nickname and all then go to Servers. choose IRC Network: Efnet Irc Server: any, as long as it is efnet. click Connect to Server. Once you are connected, join the channel #psynews.org (for this you can also type "/j psynews.org" in your status) tell me ig you have problems Edit: i am so stupid that i wrote top right instead of top left. corrected it now Quote

vnvmod Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 goody! again i will advertise Miranda a bit since i like it and it's freeware and it doesn't crash too often! hehe... and it's a multiprotocol messenger program supporting all the best-known systems like ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber, IRC... it's the only program i use for these. getting used to know its functions could take some time -at least it did for me- but currently i'm a happy user!
