Ka-Sol's music is MUCH MUCH MUCH more challenging than Derango, in my opinion. It is so much deeper, so far away from normal musical norms. It can't be listened to with the same ears/mindset that works for other psy-trance. It really fucks with the mind in a way that almost no other electronic dance music does. You need to really listen to the full tracks to get it, just checking out a clip or clicking through an MP3 isn't going to help. Obviously all music is best heard in its entirety, but it is extremely important in the case of ka-sol, I think. The build-ups aer sooo subtle, yet they have a totally devastating effect. And he puts the trance back in psy-trance! Very very hypnotic music. It's not something you just put on whenever, it's "special music". The production is a completely different style than almost everything else, too. I suspect that some people will buy this expecting some dark-ish "forest music", and then get disappointed when it's not sounding anything like what they've heard before. I, on the other hand, have been craving serious headfuck dance music for fucking AGES, so this is probably one of the albums I'm looking forward to the most, regardless of genre. I've heard some of the tracks, and so far I'm very, very excited.

Dragonfly was a sublabel of Butterfly, but they shared the same catalogue number sequence. Since Butterfly already had a few releases byt the time Dragonfly came to be, the first available "slot" was BFLT5. As you have probably seen, there are many, many holes in the number sequence for Dragonfly. These are usually occupied by releases on Butterfly.

Yesterday I got an extra copy of Koxbox - Too Pure (vinyl) and a 12" on Bomm Records that isn't on Discogs yet. And since Discogs is in read only mode, I can't submit it either.

Mr Lundström has h-u-n-d-r-e-d-s of unreleased tracks, so with all certainty this will be all new stuff.

I voted for Etnica. That moniker wins thanks to the sheer amount of tracks; I have a 3 hour "italian mix" I've made, and more than half the tracks in it are released as Etnica. However, they certainly shat all over that name with all their 21st century releases...

SCIENCE FICTION!!! I have NO idea why that never got an unmixed CD release... anyone looking for the vinyl can PM me, I have an unplayed test pressing left =)

I have a text file with like 50 titles I need to use some day - now if I could jsut finish some tracks... Some nice titles: Total Eclipse - Gravity Mirage one of my favourite titles of all time Atmos - So Nice You Name It Twice a bit more in the funny department, but a cool name nonetheless Tristan - Close Zen Counters mmm, wordplay Koxbox - Stratosfearless Cydonia - Screaming Darkness I also agree on Full Mental Jackpot.
-
From what I can recall they sound the same - I never spotted any difference. The voice sample in there sounds like it says "of" some times, and "from" other times... at least thats how I remember it, haven't listened to that one in ages.

http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ver/ver1cd007.html EDIT: too slow =(

I like my own bass drums =) Some of them appear on the new Filteria album, although mixed a little lower than I would have. I like "meaty" attacks - some of mine were inspired by the ones used by Pleiadians in tracks like Zeta Reticuli (NOT the remix! the original has a MUCH better kick) and some from the family of light era. I love the snare in Blue Planet Corporation - Antidote. Kuro has a similar one in "Thunderstorm" and Hallucinogen has used that kind of snare too. Very wet soundting, like a sine "plop" with a short reverb with the diffusion set at 0.
-
hehe =) I think there were 200 blue ones pressed, possibly 300. I still haven't heard of anyone else having a blue one, actually.
