  1. There is already a topic on this here
  2. So you visited this site while at work...shame shame
  3. I would say "sucker", but my perspective may be different. Gravity got a huge amount of media attention and had a huge advertising budget before its release, both of which are signs of a standard Hollywood blockbuster. You either like them or you don't. I never really have so I avoided the movie - maybe I'll see it on cable one day. I saw Children of Men when it came out in theaters, but that had a totally different vibe to it and hardly any advance media. From movies you learn that creative people often "cash out" after early success because the money talks.
  4. Probably don't even get a tenth of that speed. But then I live in third-world America...
  5. I've chatted with the kind of women who have their pictures up for these things and no one is missing much.
  6. I am not going to give you the list. It's a pretty long one and all you need to do is research the recent history of music.
  7. I'm sure you'll have fun with it. It's easy to get lost in the possibilities with modular synthesis.
  8. Surveillance as in surveillance-state USA
  9. 8.1 has a start button. Really no point in it since you just move the cursor over the corner and a button pops up. 8.1 update overall was a waist of time but I can see how they needed to update the store and apps.
  10. He was totally doing that for show, look at all the spectators in the background.
  11. I didn't watch that close (and won't watch again) what did it look like?
  12. The quote pretty much sums up all of radi's threads. I miss the drama by not looking in the general section.
  13. Never heard of them, but then I only hear new music on this forum unless it is Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber...
  14. I think that in countries where there is a greater % of younger people, electronic will be more popular overall. In America the space between young people makes it less likely that new music will get passed around. Physical spacing seems like a big indicator for increased culture spread in general. Countries like UK, Netherlands with high population densities have an advantage in increased awareness of emerging trends and less-than-mainstream culture creation. Newer electronic music helps to keep the old stereotypes of repetition and 'boring beats' at bay but in America there is no way for people to hear newer music.
  15. Good to hear...we all missed you! Now if we can bring out the drama we'll have the old psynews back.
  16. We all speak the Queen's English around here. None of that nasty text messg stuff Rt?
  17. Well of course Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk inspired everyone after. But Detroit house came from Detroit first. Germany always had a much bigger audience for the reasons mentioned above so the newer styles caught on. You're welcome, anything I can do to help.
  18. Electronic music is a small niche of music in the US. Most people do not like it and I think the younger kids don't listen anymore. Only people like me who were a certain age in the 1990's still may listen to electronic music. Europe I guess is the heart of were electronic music is popular with areas connected to Europe by travel being second. My hobby is production and I know I will never make any sales at it because no one around here likes electronic music, it is like disco from the 70's.
  19. What Up dawgs - IMA gonna go 't tha joint t'night en bust a move. Me 'n' my boyz like to talk all proper to radi, Ima gonna screw a skinny ass bitch jus fu u radi.
