  1. Somaton - Future Memories Beautiful stuff in my opinion. I don't know if it's a classic, but I've always loved this release. Odds that it would be re-released, zero. I would mostly just like some of this era's stuff to be more widely available so some of the younger fans can hear it and not have to pay through the nose to get it. Makes me want to pop in Silicon Trip, I haven't listened to it in a long time.
  2. Yeah, no kidding. It's been available on itunes for quite some time, although I would cringe at buying it in such horrible quality. I suspect that is also the answer to the question, that it's available digitally and that's as much as they care to bother with it.

    Brüno?

Just the ambush humor is getting old.

    Brüno?

Borat had it's moments, but this one I just have no interest in.
  5. Shawshank. The parts of the movie telling the story of the old man in Green Mile, especially the ending were very touching.
  6. "The Sun Also Rises" is actually by Ernest Hemmingway, although they were friends. I should read more of Fitzgerald's stuff. I've always liked & been more curious about Hemmingway's work though. I have almost all of his books & short stories, and all of them on audiobook as well. Hemmingway's gravesite is about 2 hours drive from where I live. I actually really enjoyed "Benjamin Button" (the film) though. I didn't really notice the CGI. I thought the film had a nice depth of feeling to it even though it was a wandering simplistic plot. One thing I'm getting really sick of, and I bitch (loudly) about every time I see a movie lately, is the really overt CGI that is taking over everything. Lately at the movies it's preview after preview of these, basically "cartoons for adults" is what I've been calling them. I'm getting sick of it.
  7. Same here eh. I just bought the new remastered suntrip version and have been enjoying it all over again. I'm becoming more of a fan of theirs. Dimension 5 - Utopian Dream <----- especially
  8. I find I'm warming up to this album the more I listen. I think I'll be liking this one more and more.
  9. He made that!? Wierd, I didn't even know he had anything new.

    The Fountain

So far it seems this movie is an absolutely love it or hate it type. I'm among the former and find the soundtrack to be one of the best. High definition/ 1080p is the only way to see this film. I haven't had a movie have such an effect on me like this one has in years, I can't get it out of my mind. I'm curious what others thought, I give this fim a 10/10
  12. Ah! Yes I couldn't agree more! I thought Ghost Town was hilarious. I should watch it again.

    Eyes Wide Shut

Thanks for the link Divine, I dig that track. Yeah, early in the film I kept having that scene flash in my mind from "The Shining" where the pig man is doing whatever the hell, and the blood pouring in etc.. So as the mystery and tension started to ratchet up, I got even more intrigued. I really enjoyed the first 2/3 of the movie. I understand the idea of leaving some things hanging, some questions unanswered. Sometimes it can enhance a movie, leave you wondering, but in this case I wish he would have elaborated on the CONSPIRACY a little more. I was guessing the people at the party were demons & he'd be lucky if he ever got out. ahh memorable lines. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Delbert Grady: I feel you will have to deal with this matter in the harshest possible way, Mr. Torrance. ... Jack Torrance: You WERE the caretaker here, Mr. Grady. Delbert Grady: No sir, YOU are the caretaker. You've always been the caretaker. I ought to know: I've always been here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe it was about... Danny? Maybe it was about him. I think we should discuss Danny. I think we should discuss what should be done with him. What should be done with him? Alright! I'm gonna have to bust out Four Carry Nuts - Hexagon

    Eyes Wide Shut

Wow I just saw this tonight. What a bizarre movie! My impressions of it when from when it first came out were very different, the sinister feel especially and the music was really annoyingly tense at points. I was a little disappointed with the ending though. I think I'm going to have to watch it again sometime for things I might have missed.
  16. The email on discogs for him is not correct. I got an undeliverable message about 4 days later. If someone can get the actual email address I'm sure we could get an answer.

    W (The movie)

From what I've heard "W" just wasn't that great a movie, so it was interesting to see some reactions to it. Frost Nixon I would like to see though.
  18. Ugh! I just read the review of these on amazon. I am JEALOUS! I want a pair of these.
  19. I'm curious, can anyone tell me what equipment some of the groups like Etnica, or MFG; some of the 94-98 era goa/psy names used to produce the sounds they made? Maybe this thread belongs in music making forum, and I know I've read threads from years ago which discussed these things which I really didn't understand. I've heard of the (Roland?), I think its called. I was just driving down the street the other day listening to Etnica - Nice Toy, and marveling the sounds some of the old analog machines were capable of producing. Whatever they used to create albums like Family of Light etc, just amazes me. I'd love to figure out what equipment some of the best psy came from.

No kidding, I hate Angelina Jolie. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: I really enjoyed this one, like I haven't enjoyed a film since Catch Me if You Can. [/b][/u]9/10 Yes Man: After I critics downplayed my expectations it turned out to be a lot more fun than I had thought. The main criticism being Jim Carrey is waaay too old to act like he usually does. I didn't see it & it didn't bother me. 7.5/10 Caroline: Tim Burton's latest; a bit slow at first, not terribly memorable, but enjoyable enough. Took my wife to see it on Valentines Day; she liked it. 7/10
