Yes this happened to me a few weeks ago! Luckily I still had them, but I had to re-rip almost my whole collection. Double & triple back-ups my friend. I think I'd be sad if there were just empy shelves where my current collection sits. I'd enjoy still having the music but it'd just be a ghost of what used to be there. <sniff> I'd probably start buying again. Anyway I like to have the actual disc & have it in digital format too.

All I'm saying is that downloading has caused everyone I know to spend more, not less and broaden their musical taste. I never would've have gotten into this genre if it weren't for a few mp3s. I understand though that there are also people who only download, but I think they are the same people who don't have any money anyway. I just don't think it should be seen as a threat, because it helps the consumer know whether they're getting a quality release, and the people with no money weren't going to buy it anyway. Mostly what people are after are releases they can't buy anymore anyway. The fact is that technology is advancing so much faster than the marketplace can handle that some people panic instead of figuring out how to roll with it. Pretty soon DVD is going to be the new format. I love my CDs but I have to take all of them & convert them into digital & then burn them onto a DVD so I can listen to them while I drive. I can fit roughly 40-50 albums on one disc, but its a pain to have to convert every one of them. I like owning the flawless quality of a CD but hate the painstaking conversion process. In the future it'll be different, I won't have to do all this crap.

Downloading a 3-4 tracks over a decade ago is what led to my current collection. The music industry is suffering my ass! Not from the looks of my wallet.

@20 for me. I don't know how some of you have time to listen to so many new titles. I can't keep up with what I have. I spend most of my time listening to all of my old flying rhino lately.

I ordered some cds from schlabberduerst 2 days ago but never received a confirmation or anything. After I sent the money via paypal I sent duplicate emails to both of the email addresses they list requesting the cds I wanted. I haven't heard back from them at all. I just wondered how about other peoples experiences with them. Should I have received a confirm?? Or does it take them a few days to get around to it?

Agreed. Whenever I see something I want to respond to I can always rely on him to reply with an opinion that is almost identical to what I would've said. Thus lightening the work load for me. If this keeps up I'm gonna have to start posting alot more. Oh, and Mars are the old reviews coming back, or are they completely gone? Please tell me they aren't.

Did he give you any idea how far off until it's out? Damn good to hear of some quality re-releases like this. I actually cracked open this album just the other night and was definitely digging it. Great album although some of the samples suck.

I bought it back when it was new. I think most others did too. Keep an eye on amazon & ebay. Sometimes it'll pop up. Think I say it on amazon about 8 months ago.

For a lot of years I couldn't make up my mind between alien protein & juggeling alchemist. I finally settled on alien protein. I still like all of the others. All good in a different way.
