my first laugh of the day

Exactly, invitations enough, that's not the problem, but the lack of motivation is the problem, and I'm saving money until June like I have never saved before, so every day counts...

Tech-house more "trancing" than psychedelic and goa?
Sideffect... replied to Procyon's topic in Other Electronica
I've checked the push EP in good quality (streaming is not good enough to have it's full effect) and indeed this is a good track. The radio edit of the track push seemed the best but it stopped by fading out and was very short. The second rmx (Universal Nation (DuMonde Remix)) is much better, especially the climax. It has indeed a high level of trance by it's repetitive and simplicity and that's good. That's probably why I experience E-mantra's second album one off the best Suntrip releases. It also hasn't got any sudden changes or shifts and doesn't explode. Except for track 4 it brings me into trance very smoothly and that is just perfect. I'm going to dig some deeper into regular trance. Thanx for the recommendation, I enjoyed it... -
Priceless!!! But you started it, Nanananana, hehehehehe

Aren't one of the members of Etnica or maybe all of them also members of the psychedelic rock band "Ozric Tentacles"?

I agree that it's all off us, but the north has the highest procent because of it's industry probably (I think) , I don't know all about the subject, all I did was check some documentaries. I wish you all the best!

Progressive 2011/2012 (no fullon, melody, house...)
Sideffect... replied to Sideffect...'s topic in General Psytrance
The new Beat Bizarre is good, very good, I have some trouble appreciating it as it should be, probably because I've listened to much to progressive lately (new atmos, new shiva chandra etc...) But this one is certainly a new asset to today's progressive. Well done! -
Ah, the Mayans. They wanted a calender and gave the village idiot the task to write as long as he could, he just died and by change just that day, he just finished writing 21 December 2012. There wasn't probably another village idiot around to take over the task and they decided it was long enough. After smoking to many peyote and DMT they forgot how that happened and 50 years later they pronounced it as the end of the world. Their society got extinct and the calender stayed and some morons of today who also probably smoked to much weed started to believe it. That's it... A south park perspective

There is a huge attention in Belgium concerning this climate change. Lot's of documentaries to make people aware are broadcasted, We have groups/organizations that collect money to work on that problem. And indeed the main message is, that we, Europe, the north is responsible for the damage in the south because of our consumer behavior, pollution etc... It's starting to have it's effect, but imo, way to slow (and late) and it's obviously very clear that the weather changes are barely noticeable in the north but in the south farmers that could count on periods of rain, see there seasons change and cannot survive anymore because all is dry and it has become impossible to plant vegetables. In Belgium we already have the first "climate refugees", people who actually are moving to the north because of the weather change, hoping to have a better future, here, where the climate change is wearable... I hope it helps, it's all over the media in Belgium, I don't know in other countries, but there are lot's off organisations that are pulling strings to influence the politicians off today on a Europe scale, cause they are the only ones who have the power/authority that can create changes that are big enough to have a positive effect. It's one off "the" topics of today media in Belgium and I really really really hope, it's not a trend but it will stay until changes/actions are done. I do believe in global warming. I do believe in the fact that the earth is getting warmer in a natural way, like it should be, but that's not a reason to deny that we, humans, are also have an effect. Like always there is no one true solution. It's a combination of both. 1. the earth is getting warmer and colder like she always does over the million years 2. We make it more warmer because of our presence as humans, the fact that we are with to many and our consumption behavior/pollution. We don't create global warming, but I do think that we are disturbing it's natural pattern, what causes problems. I'm no scientist but I prefer to play it safe and honest to people all around the world....

Agree, that's exactly what I was looking for, just tuning into the game and off we go, nothing to special or to learn. My latest positive shooter experience was quake, like I mentioned, so I don't want to spend hours, searching how it all goes. Thanx for the recommendation, I'm enjoying it big time

This one is excellent Mephistopheles, I think I've seen > 10 times already, but indeed you have to understand dutch...

I could go home earlier then planned and alltough it's freezing outside, the sun is shining so the atmosphere is great. I'll stay inside with the curtains wide open to enjoy the sun light in my room and listen to some great tunes...

I still have that album original, we have the same age , It wasn't Bruce Dickinson back then who was singing but another guy (forgot the name, sounded Italian IIRC) EDIT: "Paul Di'Anno" I liked his voice and the fact that you could hear the specific tune when they changed pedals while playing solo's on their guitars. Priceless! My nephew who was 16 years older then me introduced me into heavy metal, I was sold instantly... I remember almost being kicked out of school (catholic) when I was 14 for wearing a Cradle of Filth t-shirt printed with "Dead girls don't say no", and a huge painting of 2 female zombies fucking each other . What a blast! I tend to disagree that they are not heavy metal, back then that kind off rock was the most heaviest, therefore heavy metal, later on that changed off course and more tuffer/harder metal was produced like black/death/garage/hardcore/street etc... But that doesn't mean history changes and it suddenly becomes hard rock. It's the new generation that has the obligation to adjust and not the pioneers or the previous generation imo... Otherwise it doesn't add up anymore, we have no chronology... And I do believe a lot of metal fans started liking goa because metal has many symphony elements, simple ones like "a guitar solo", that pattern is very close to how certain 303's move... And then we have the piano, synths, melody, the fact that metal can rise like goa does and it's strength. The revelation experience, higher and higher what heavy metal is also all about, just like lot's of goa. There's a huge list of examples to prove that. Amorphis - black winter day (perfect melody) My dying bride - a kiss to remember (the begin solo) Iron maiden - run to the hills (that's getting higher and higher) Iron Maiden - where eagles dare (the instrumental part is pure art and endless) All on youtube...

Nice list long rips, and long time no seen, glad to see you back on psynews

Gladly we have Kindergarten cop

Your list is good draeke, I was also a metal fan before I discovered goa. And I also believe that the symphony, synths are likewise in experience. I prefer "Tales From The Thousand Lakes" from Amorphis and "Like gods of the sun" of my Dying bride...
