  1. On topic, I'm the type of guy who sweats a lot, because of the sun and a friend of mine has the same problem (it's a problem sometimes, not the smell, with that, I'm blessed, for some reason my sweat doesn't smell intense or bad at all) but my point is that the sun in Spain that's 1300 km more south then Belgium is totally different compared to the Sun in Belgium although the degrees are still the same and the way you sweat is totally different and more comfortable. Also the fact that in Southern regions sunny weather are often a longer period so your (my) body can adapt to the weather is great. Here in Belgium in a Summer we have easily 2 days 22 degrees, then 3 days, 31 degrees and then back to 22 degrees. That's a big pain in the ass. And am I overreacting I don't know, but I'm 30 and have the feeling that's those swings of degrees are getting heavier and heavier each summer (global warming?) I'm starting to think to move to another region in the future where my body can adapt more to the sun cause this summer was actually hell. I used to sweat so much because of the degrees swings that I actually started losing weight, my skin had zoster because off all the salt and I felt often nauseous because off the colder/warmer shift. The contrast was to high. I've never spend so much days inside the house (not taking a single walk) as passed summer We Belgians are not used to that. Especially the sweaty ones Then again some scientist say that in 10-15 years Belgium will have the climate pattern that Spain has right now, because of global warming (I don't know If I can believe that) so maybe I should stay put and wait a while
  2. That's possible, the first two times I wasn't that positive about the album like I reviewed it, after 5 times it started growing, 10 times and the review above was written. Good thinking, Indeed maybe that is what they are trying to achieve, and if so Shiva Chandra did it right imo. Remember Infected mushroom He, how should I put, manged to draw a certain line/border and still keep a high procent of his original pattern. You should hear the latest Reefer decree, that's imo totally out off line from the perspective off a psychedelic listener. They tried the same thing as Shiva chandra and it sounds imo not good. Even for more commercial music it lacks originality to my taste.
  3. Alright, looking good, wish you the best... Seems great, my sister (older) decided not to have kids, so I'm not going to be an uncle I was looking forward to that to be honest... - Today Lazy Sunday, it's raining and snowing, so watching cyclo cross, maybe a movie and listen to music off course... I've installed Crysis 2 (the game) so I'm going to give another try...
  4. These days they have perfect ear plugs that are developed by the shape/form of your ear and filter all the overloaded noise that could create damage. They don't filter everything so you can still easily start a conversation on the dancefloor. They are off course individual, so they only fit in your ear and cost more then the regular ones. It's +/- 70 euros for one IIRC, but that's money well spent. Just don't lose them When I start partying again (when I get my car) I'm buying one of those. I've heard many positive comments/experiences about those earplugs.
  5. then you don't reply I guess (don't know)
  6. Seems like good news, And there is progress, I saw them live in 2003 in Belgium and that was good, so I keep my trust, thanx for the info mate
  7. Indeed, Astral projection performed in my town two weeks ago, together with man no with name, The location is great over there... Nice video's Skytrancer. So you think they keep their new tracks to keep their live acts interesting? Pretty smart to be honest...
  8. , that's what I was trying to say but in more subtle way
  9. ok , and indeed I also don't like that kind of baseline, I never could dance to it when I went to those parties
  10. I should have posted, Be aware, do not use your imagination, sorry.
  11. @ Veracohr, that I understand yes, and I do agree with your thinking and the blue planet corporation example. The complexity that goa brings along often breaks the trancyness. the fact that it's simple and repeating that brings you slowly into trance more and more (correct me if I'm wrong). The sudden changes and shifts break that effect (again correct me ) Do you have any example of that type of trance (old trance) you are referring too (youtube links). I have some but I'm curious... Probably here : http://www.psynews.o...ce/#entry944224 ps: sorry for hijacking your topic Procyon, then again it's psynews, it'll get back on topic
  12. I just got the game and played it for the first time, It's been since Duke nukem 3D, Doom, Qauke that I have played a shooter so that's a while... My laptop has never been that warm, wow , but all is doing fine, he's 5 months old and I spend +/- 700 euro's (intel 5 with a good video card) and it goes smoothly on widescreen (full screen, 17inch) First impression - Crazy graphics (well done) - the player moves fast enough (I remember playing Halo one time at a friend and the guy moved soooo slow, it annoyed me a lot) after exactly 2 minutes I stopped playing... - too many videos (I hope that's just in the beginning) - I can't save whenever I want ( I don't like that) - the key helps (which key) is very handy. I'm not used to play games anymore and it's a laptop so the keyboard is rather small (I do have a numeric) (maybe I can buy a numeric keyboard with usb (doesn't cost that much) so my hands aren't that close to each other and I can lean back) I'll see how the game goes before I invest... I will play it again, that's for sure, Any tips?
  13. I haven't got the time/change to listen to all their albums, I checked 6 of them, and probably a lot off people will have the same problem. So this poll won't be entirely accurate, Then again, it's fun, and the outcome will be predictable (I think) But who knows, it will help to find out which one to check next best Feel free to vote and post why (that would be helpful) http://www.discogs.com/artist/Solar+Fields
  14. Yes, he started as that 'boy zone" group kid, but the older he gets, the more his acting becomes a bit more psycho/lunatic, a bit similar to johnny depp's performance but in a less funny way. he tends to create a mystique atmosphere around the different rolls he plays. It all kinda started in the aviator or even before, I think. I'm not a film specialist at all, but I do like that tiny psycho effect when I see it in actors like johnny depp for instance. A bit off topic, but still...
  15. That's more then ok off course... thanx! But still uhu, I'll need more opinions, I'm not entirely convinced (what doesn't have to be) But I can follow your train of thoughts. I've got "Experiments in Synchronicity" that KozmikTentacles recommended in high quality just know it wasn't that easy to find, I had to bargain Then again it's from 2002, (discogs: http://www.discogs.c...ty/master/69394) So I don't know if your set included the latest tech house? But I will probably listen to it today or tomorrow... EDIT: I just listened to "Experiments in Synchronicity" for the first time and to my experience it's not more trancing or psychedelic then goa/prog/psytrance. It's also not less. In the beginning a had a bit of a wow effect, but after some self reflecting I've noticed that probably it's the result of the fact that I'm listening to something that I'm not used to, something different, but still contains elements that I adore (trance, psychedelics, atmosphere). I wonder If I would listen to tech house all the time, and suddenly listen to a progressive/psy album for one time I could have the same effect. Like we have an expression in Dutch (don't know how in English) "The grass is/always will be greener on the other side" but at the end etc... Don't get me wrong, it's a good album, I've enjoyed, and it's only 'one' album, there is off course more... I do agree with johnb820 psy/goa/prog shifts more and has more energy and I miss that listening to "Experiments in Synchronicity"
  16. Exactly! I would advice some anal lubricant that's evermore to prod the fullon out of them for this release and many more to come... I'm pretty sure Raja ram has that in his outerspace stash bag
  17. I like shutter's island, that's a good movie and didn't like DiCaprio in the first place but the older he gets, the better. I appreciate him more and more as an actor...
  18. I tend to disagree from my experience, could you put that in more detail? ? I'm interested in yours, if not, that's ok, off course
  19. off course I do, but at the background, not with headphones. Also I think my headphones will be broken the morning after from rolling over
  20. prog ok, but tech house? I don't know if we share the same idea what tech house is. Tech house hasn't got a regular baseline at all like techno or trance. It stops, smashes and goes on. It goes back and forth all the time, not forward... ( well here in Belgium it does, when I used to party on it, maybe it changed) Let's check Theorem to get an idea Edit: Experiments in Synchronicity is from 2002, that's not new and should be the tech house how I remember it. (we!ll see )
  21. +1 and falling a sleep with headphones, seems impossible to much brain activity
  22. I used to go out to tech-house parties a lot 8 years ago, but probably it evolved reading your post which is great. So I'm also curious. I never listened to it at home, so I don't know any names or albums I hope someone will on this platform...
  23. That's it since a long time... , I should be ashamed But my income is still mostly health Insurance so I can't have paypall/visa from the Belgium government/national bank cause It's not high enough and they see it as not reliable Hopefully/normally I'l be working again this summer, so I can catch up
