third shpongle album... first impressions... This is a purely psychedelic journey from start to end!! not cheeze at all!! i Find the atmosphere of this album pretty dark compared to the other albums. For you who thought this would be "commercial" thought wrong!! On the cover u can almost feel the intensity of the shpongle mask's eyes that this will be a more serious journey into darker landscapes. sometimes i even got feelings like i was on a threshold psychedelic experience!!!! very visual and mystical!! well there are some very blissfull moments too!! but i just feel shpongle took another direction... there is more playfulness and sometimes little cheeze in the other albums.. but this is more like a deeper mystical journey of discovery!! shpongle is again, going a different direction, evolving, exloring new possibilities.. and i like it! there is less ethnic stuff in this third album, and i agree i missed it a bit, but perhaps simon felt that he had to do something new.. hence the title, nothing lasts.. not even the happy ethnic shpongle sound.. or perhaps he just used up all of his great ethnic sample cd's already as for the sample use thingie.. many people have been dissapointed saying shpongle is only sample stealers, that they dont have any talent and cant really do a thing by themselves... they should try to say that again after taking a closer listening to nothing lasts !! This is one of the tightest productions i've ever heard!!

why not just keep it simple... lets call it Music... every piece fall under that categorie ^^ except maybe skazi

nowhere near... photonic part 2 was also a disapointment.. still it is better than asteroids.

the background is beautiful... and i love the mask on front.. text is horrible ...

these melodies is a real let-down.. doesnt even come close to the old albums. plz follow up the great photonic style instead!

Hehe i was thinking "Lost buddha" was that u have "lost" to anger against the new full on and intend to fight against it with all means a buddha knows patience, understanding, serenity harmony and compassion... and you're the "lost" one.. an asura! raged god being lost to the negative thought/feeling-patterns! A buddha is not about jihad against people musicstyles!! =) thats more like islam! .. So hence the meaning of the lost buddha This is my interpretation The buddhism way is to lose knowledge, the darkness of the mind! Its about discover your original face (going back to the source, dissolve your mind, the illusion of a separate of self), not to get more knowledge and get more complicated! The more intellectualized u get, the more entangled you'll be! The more you imprison yourself with false concepts, you will strive away further from the golden path. the buddhic way is about wisdom, not knowledge! drop your knowledge and you'll get to wisdom!

thx .. i think it will take some time before even consider to remix chimera.. old and dated track! we have so much better stuffs up our sleeves. we have material to finish up that will cover the length of more than one whole album =)

sorry i dont think ethereal is that grand.. i think they need to improve their melodies and they are too repetitive (imho) .. but yes in modern goa-trance movement they are in the lead..

the yahel covers symbolizes the breakdown of a spiritual community tempting the youths into darkness, wearing flouro painted neon clothes, flashing with glowsticks and wearing spaced-out glasses and call it "psychedelic"! the space age has arrived! U can thank this guy for it! He is responsible for it all!
