  1. hmm.... i apologise but it seems that i was sooo twisted at the time that i forgot at which samothraki it actually was.... it was at the second samothraki (2002)..... not the last one! all other info i said is correct except i was wrong in a minor detail. the year!! i feel VERY stupid.. perhaps i really am more stupid now than i was in 2002 ; ) im gonna edit my first post now!
  2. yes it was drum n bass ish and possibly had some breaks too. then there were some violin-like sounds (nothing like celtic cross btw) i really dont think it was simon s tune.. unfortunately i was twisted at the time so i cant tell too much ; ) traveller you just might remember it because all the people went crazy at some point in the track... also that awesome soundsystem helped! cheers for helping man!
  3. Nick, which one u say is down? is it pateras? because it s a cool forum but it did go down
  4. L O L i have to say it would be a good try but for some reason i ve never ever found a greek forum when u can have nice conversations... no matter if its psytrance or other. . i dont think i am any better myself, but the only thing going on usually is bitching a lot about irrelevant things and some joking around. nothing more! let aside the patronising effect oloi oi pantognwstes ekei tha pane!
  5. its been a while since then but surely a lot who where there must remember the track. it was a wacky ambientish tune that turned really crazy later on (very long track) and the most characteristic thing i can remember is that it had some excellent violin samples/sounds... someone there told me it could be from propellerheads but i havent been able to track it down! of course any hints are much appreciated : ) this happened during the second samothraki (2002) not the last one!!
  6. very nice way to release their work new and old.. im gonna buy the single plus cybermancy for sure since i dont have it.... im actually really anticipating what wizzy will make this time round!
  7. funny you say that its ''too soft''. thats what i was thinking when i heard it. I think i d really like it if only there was more depth into the low frequencies..Maybe harder kickdrum? because now the high freqs dominate totaly. Maybe thats just the mastering ! i think that its a very good track but could do with just -a b i t- less acid synthies...(i think u get what i mean) but dont mind me i ve been listening to a lot of weird idm industrial etc recently so i might be more into aggresive sounds right now than the usual goafreak! i think u ll see one of your tracks released soon if this small comeback to old skool thats been going on continues. .
  8. hmmm from what i know you ll have trouble finding one.. there same topic has been answered before by americans who know the scene there.. maybe try to search the forum?
  9. dont forget to post a lot of pics here both from the party and the after party - which is going on in lemmiwinks' house since he just mentioned in public he lives 5 mins away from the party. . . . have fun : ) and dont trash lemmis place ; )
  10. any tracks with scarface samples to do the job ? ? empty space, dont you like even a bit, at least the first from x-dream's new album ? ? come on... its not bottom of the bin ; )
  11. there are 1000s of streaming radios... its not illegal
  12. i guess it doesnt have to work like this every time.. but in the crystal skulls all the artists know each other ( at least i think so ) and they are not THAT different sounding from one another. so when they try to go a bit more downtempo (esp. skulls 1) and share samples (they did that didnt they?), the tracks will be kind of similar.. i dont know if the mastering process has something to do with it also.. its funny im trying to think about other concept albums but cant think of any right now... only one about environmental degradation which is still under discussion/construction.....
  13. now you know why no-one was going!!
  14. maybe i ll travel to helsinki ; ) if i manage to persuade anyone of my friends to come with me and i have no exams or dodgy uni period full of essays etc...
  15. i ve seen the same in antiworld parties.. happy hardcore and similar! the first antiworld i went to was gms .. hehe residents ! but in stratford rex they would have nice parties with beautiful people on occasion..
  16. i ve heard the path.. its definately good but i prefer hydro gardens.. if u like them u should look for it!
  17. In the last couple of years I am mainly homelistening and feel sometimes a bit boring Could do with a few more parties here. eleria: dont you get any parties at draconis?? i thought there was a big scene there! well i ve occasionaly been a party animal, but now only go to a few good parties/festivals and to parties that a friend throws where we always have the best times; ) i ve helped a bit on practical issues concerning parties like i ve offered many car rides to artists or helped to carry equipment/sound system even borrow my projector for many parties and my mixer/cd player etc at times of need.. its nice to see this side of the scene ! i can say i ve been lucky enough to meet some of my favorite artists.
  18. the last of the mohicans track from holymen is the most legendary uplifting tune in greece.... every trance freak knows it and 90% laugh at it for many years now!! i cant believe you dug it up cinos! cheers for the funny memories you brought back : )
  19. i dont know what the sample says, but maybe if you post this in the lost tracks forum someone might know...
  20. tatsu, you are very right... juno reactor had god is god's videoclip playing on Mtv for example.. but i dont think that if a band starts in the psy scene and later on makes more commercial appearances, it still has the same philosophy... In general, not only for IM, artists in the psy scene are not different from the crowd at parties, very often the dj at a party sees more friends dancing than random people he doesnt know.. its like a family thing. And most of the people(although the figure is dropping as i speak) in the psy scene are really against the commercialisation of music- both the artists and labels included- So, when u see IM playing with pop bands you know that its 99% chance that they dont really enjoy doing it, i.e. they re not going to have fun at such a concert... anyway all this is just speculation.. i bet that IM know what they re doing and have their reasons....
  21. i found this link in a similar topic in isratrance : http://www.rosh1.co.il/pirsum/rosh1_live.html the actual topic in isratrance is funny as hell to read through.. IM are playing on some extra-commercial festival OBVIOUSLY for the money involved, i am not criticising that-its their business-, but all the experts on musical ethics believe that its OK for a psytrance band to play together with Mtv ''musicians''.. in a while they wont even make their own music, someone else will write it for them and they will just go for the show... its the way the industry works, right? its OK to do so... i mean juno reactor is appealing to a wider audience, son kite, atmos, etc but they do not play together with pop-acts... so why is this IM thing not selling out?? anyway... just wanted all you guys to see that poster! IMO infected should have a side project to be the money maker...
  22. i stumbled upon ashra - new age of earth which is very nice ambient with those warm analog synths (1976 i think) and played it to some friends, then asked them when they thought it was released and they all said 2003?2004? also brian eno released his first such ambient work in 75... (discreet music)
