  1. i dont get how the ticket sales work.. im supposed to go there without a ticket (no presale out of brazil), but they will accept all foreigners even if they have sold out ?? btw, traveller we re getting there bit by bit ; )
  2. it was on tv "news" here... very sad.. police march to war, unprovoked, against happy people dancing! cant say anything more..
  3. also try to search this forum for a nice link someone posted with many many many many FSOL vids. for the record: the girl with the flower in the pic is a screenshot from the animation/video this cd is the soundtrack to.. old computer effects that still are very very relevant and trippy. just like the music, inspired!
  4. dream temple is a bit short on its selection these days.. or at least thats what it looked like! there's the trackheadz shop (access all areas) on 114 or 117 (damn how can i remember this?) kentish town road but they got an even shorter selection for psy.. cant really think of another place except the second hand stores.. where you should go only if you re an addict and want to search 2000 cds to find 1 or none you want.. the 3 i ve been to the most in central london are in camden (u must have seen it) on the high street, in notting hill (next to n.h. gate tube station) and in soho (where RAH told u) there's one very near sister ray. (i think its in broadwick st but i cant really say-its 20m from the sex shop alley if ya know it))
  5. the man is more into house than psy. i also heard he will be hosting a "groupie whore-out" in his studio, so line up ; )
  6. i ve seen him playing in athens around 3 years ago... i love all of takeshi's stuff and had a very nice time...* even got to meet the man himself.. very chilled person, who surprised me by his modesty and polite ways! *although, btw as i ve said before at the live some weirdo threw an empty water bottle to him... which was very sad to witness! anapreciative bastard!
  7. i wrote some words about the festival when i came back but here's my brief account: First of all, i hold a rather blurred memory from the glade... i travelled there from athens on thursday and came back on monday, doing some driving on the english roads so after adding the extreme partying... its been a strong experience. It feels more like one large day than 3 days... I didnt spend all my time on the psytrance stages, far from it... my best impressions where from son kite and tristan(esp. first half) but i missed a lot both at liquid and origin.. id spiral was excellent and i was there every day and on sunday night when people where playing drums, etc.. i also became entrapped in the main and little big tents for several hours! Personally i think this is were the more interesting music was played.. Instead of (low volume)hallucinogen i was in the main stage where squarepusher and afx simply gave us more psychedelia than we were aksing for.. its like a new genre in the making.. from what i heard autechre play similar stuff as well! Especially enjoyed squarepusher playing his bass guitar and using it for a bassline.. Wicked night! I did not dare enter the pussy parlure (maybe just because of the silly name), i only briefly looked into the interior of sancho panza and for some reason never went too close to the open mic tent. ;D I did spend a lot of time in the camp with my friends.. lying down on the grass and watching the stars at night is just unbeatable! Other impressions: the volume thing sucked majorly... no comments the toilets sucked just as much.. Lurk said that in samothraki they were dirtier.. Well yes, but at least you had the option to simply not go. Just walk in the forest and find a spot offering light breeze and excellent view. That was certainly better than being inside a telephone box sized toilet that was filling with nasty nasty stuff in a fast pace... well, i had a car so i ventured to a nice welcoming pub a couple of times... alcohol: as planned i got my bottles of 40proof raki, the others brought vodka and beer, so we didnt have to pay 3pound for a beercan... food and stalls: well as i said in another thread you could practically buy furniture in there.. the herbal high store(van) was a huge success... especially those laughing gas ballons.. i remember they put a sign reading "we do sell other stuff" lol! food stalls were plenty and had countless veggie options so i was happy even if i ate very very little... the people: well... an excellent crowd.. cross-genre but the "creme de la creme" of britains partying lunatics!! its just so nice to escape certain crowds here that throw bottles, fight, etc to be chilling with 10,000 (or so?) friendly people.... MUSIC: as i said, i heard amazing music from the idm-ish producers.. really really enjoyed that.. I believe all stages were solid.. my only grievance is that psytrance now makes me wanna dance like crazy less than the music played by squarepusher and aphex twin.. still, the crowd in the psytrance areas was the most enthusiastic and danced like crazy all the time!! ; ) All in all it was magnificent to have all these stages in the same place, at the same time.. never felt like this before, its a state of luxury.. "what do i choose? Hallucinogen or Apheks Twin?" i wish life was all abolut these dilemmas.. next year? Oh yeah! Had a wonderful time.. apart from my description above i had a really nice time with the people i went with as well.. this has already made it special.. i will finish this short sort-of-a-review by saying that both me and nick who was with me came back to athens with big (huge) smiles. I'm still wearing the bracelet ; ) We already have started the “persuation game” to have friends join us on some other festival this summer. If u started at glade, you want more!!!
  8. leaving work at 15 minutes, heading for my bank card and a pc... straight away i had been living in darkness, thanks ben
  9. i have or have heard all of these except lsg and sasha (which i ve heard only parts from) and i strongly second the recommendation!! if u manage to find celtic cross just GRAB IT! i still feel bad about not grabbing it back when i had the chance! also tripswitch - circuit breaker is very nice ; ) and gaudi - bass, sweat and tears is a masterpiece.... it sort of climbed up my "ladder of respect" when i saw them live in the glade and realised they dont use samples. REAL vocals and instruments (almost) all the way..... highly recommende as well!
  10. ok this sprang to my head: smashing pumpkins - mellon collie and the infinite sadness it might not be trance but its definetely psychedelic ; ) one of the most played albums of my teen years!
  11. a few i can think of right now: carbon based lifeforms - hydroponic garden.. hehe spyweirdos - fairytale 2xCD check it out, come with a toothpick sized magic wand dont remember name - train to chroma city and there are many conceptual releases in other genres like industrial.. cant remember anything now but i ve seen lots that are CD + booklet and the tracks are always in relation to the booklet and whatever this has written, etc remember an excellent compilation about the war in iraq and children, etc.. had some really affecting samples.. it was a downtempo industrial/techno/idm/whatever release btw..
  12. "40.00 USD=33.1093 EUR" well if you think 33 euros is too much for one day of partying and one more day of chilling out there is expensive, i dont know what to say.... especially in the states were we all know how much the authorities like outdoor psytrance parties and how often they get them... there are MANY MANY events starting at midnight and ending at 7a.m. that cost 30 euros in greece.. dont complain people, its ridiculous.. i bet you spend 30 euros to get drunk at the bar before the b/j pavel ; )
  13. full on artists are also tired from suggestions. but this doesnt mean they shouldnt consider them, does it? i mean if you release the music.. its music made for people to dig.... and its not like we re talking about limiting artists' expression or anything.. on the contrary ; )
  14. just wanna say this: artists are almost always right on such matters.. but its not important. if your fans complain about it you should consider it. of course in the end the music each artist makes is his/her creation and composed in any way they see fit.. but all these complains lead to one conclusion: we re tired of it.
  15. i 100% with you! its annoying to listen to the tracks after some time! and especially with indian chanting and so on.. i mean there are 1000s of cds with mantras, etc that can be "freely" ripped for samples out there!! why is everyone using the same ones beats me...
  16. i am listening to an album named "no title" and has a tracklisting from: "audiotrack1" to "audiotrack12". its a nice piece of ambience with nice sounds... electronic but with an organic feeling and nice soundscapes.. some slow breakz, nice melodies and nice aranging.... if only i knew what it was.... btw, i m at work (in a video club) and the music i play is what people here listen to. you should see their faces when i play trance.. last trance album played at work was ololiqui - reverse engineering.
  17. u could try searching on p2p... some people might still have them up for sharing!
  18. yesterday i had a nice experience... swimming in the middle of the night, in pretty deep waters and draging along our inflatable boat. i cant really describe the feeling. i had a mask and snorkel (or whatever they're called) and when my buddy turned the flashlight away i couldnt see anything... ANYTHING! just black everywhere, not being really able to have a sense of direction! then, the light would shine back on track giving me a visual orgasm because of the millions tones of blue (from near black to near white) that appeared in the sea.... Surreal for sure.. reefer aint bad too ; )

    NEED TICKETS FOR GLADE

bad news from me.. no way i can get 2 tickets now : (
  20. the security guys will be really surprised if they smell my water in glade.. im not planning to take other drugs common to fests (ie chems).. just some reefer and alcohol. so as an alcoholic i ll be bringing some.. if you guys have a hard time look out for me and my tsipouro..
  21. i can say that i dont listen to at least half of my cds... i am currently moving out and had to select one 50caselogic-full of cds to take with me for the holidays, while i was sorting everything out i realised i have so many cds i have simply forgotten ALL about.. plus i got a problem: i cant seem to be really able to relate bands/track names very well for example i ve listened to pretty much everything from texas faggot many many times but right now i cant remember more than a handful of tracks and melodies.. so i get lost in my collection very easily!!!
  22. so u are actually saying that hallucinogen has more killargh kickdrums than the god almighty? (skazi) hmmm this calls for celebrity deathmatch.. just wait till skazi calls Mtv!
  23. this is probably going to get 0 answers (esp. since psytones isnt very active recently) So im going to oslo in 4 days for a short stay.. (16th to 20-21st) initially i thought i was going to be there alone with my parents, so i wouldnt need too many tips, but two more friends will be there by coincidence and we re already talking about doing some further exploration of the country and, you guessed it, go see the fjiords (sp?) So, i dont need any particular advise but any tips would be nice. For example is there gonna be some concert in oslo i shouldnt miss? Or if we do go exploring is there a particular route that is just better? like a train route? I already know that alcohol is expensive and only sold on the early hours ; )
  24. hmm i got no clue what its like... i wonder if its got anything to do with the theosophic "cult"...wikipedia: I AM foundation
