  1. Yea, i just did a follow-up reply m8 However theres little chance that a talented artist packed with ideas and the balls to carry them out can remain unknown for an entire life. He would have to be someone that plays live like once a year 500 feet underground in a top-secret club performing in front of 5 people. And the odds for that are what? 1 trillion to zero. Besides, if he really has the balls to show himself to the world, the only thing stoping him if he allready has talent and ideas, is that he's either lazy as fuck or he just doesn't care for music. But then again, if he doesn't care for music he isn't really a producer now is he?. There's hardly anything else that could stop him from becoming a great artist.
  2. It really depends on how you define success. Just look at all the talentless producers that make it in the scene. For them it seems they have made a success even without much work done. So even without talent you can be "successful". And even tho that is not a rule of life, unfortunately it is a fact. To most artists out there, they bond success very closely to money income. Income may be a part of the success they make, but it shouldn't be the bigger part of the equation. imo
  3. Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes (and I don't give a shit if its not pietrance :wank:)
  4. It's funny but dj's turned producers arent as good as producers turned djs. No disrespect, it's just way harder creating music. And I'm not talking about the technical side of it, but the creative side. Making something from ground zero is alot more harder then having material that you can mix with and play with however you want to.
  5. Damn. 2008 will bring miracle works. Hope they don't release it the same day I do.
  6. Woho, more surprises! :posford:
  7. Heeeey nice one I was just listening to some Bjork and then I tuned into this. What a good transition hah This track's a serious contender for a tekno/trance/goaish remix

  12. I totally agree with your first post here seraph. And aphex twin really is one of the most diverse artists there is, I love his earlier works, I just ignore the bad masters and enjoy the music
  13. I've only heard one cd from ultimae, and it's asura's Life squared which I didn't really like. Maybe I should check out the other releases, seeing lots of people here admire ultimae that much. So what would be a fine release from ultimae you'd recommend me?

  23. Well a specific example would be Crystal. It's an amazing VST, you can create beautiful pads with it, and it's good for some leads too. Also rhythmical parts are good to programm with it. Anyways, there's a top list of freebies and commercial vst's on kvraudio, the link is here >> KVR Audio VST Ratings . They're sorted by GUI, Sound, Features etc. And you can choose to list either top freebies or the commercial ones. Another good thing that just started some year(s) ago is the KVR Audio Developer challenge, where they give a prize to the winners of the best made freeware vst instruments and effects, you can see a list of those from this year here (its still in progress so no toplists for now) >> KVR Audio Developer Challenge 2007, and the toplist from last year is here >> KVR Audio Developer Challenge 2006. Anywho, just try googleing "Top freeware VST Instruments / Effects", there should be a pretty extensive list of freebies on some forum site, I really can't remember the link rite now. Have fun!
  24. Hey that's great news . Switching to an open2vst environment is allways a good thing. Anyways, what kind of music do you make? Some infos would be good so we could recommend you what are good synths and effects to choose from. Btw, you can check these 2 sites to tryout demo's of various synths/efx before buying them, and theres also a TON of freeware synths/efx to download, and some of them are much better than commercial products: KVR-Audio Dont Crack - VST Freebies Site & VST Shop Anyways, have fun, it's a whole new world of synths out there to explore
