  1. U got duplicate and triplicate (spellin?) numbers in that list Ohh but I remember those, dreamy list indeed . Any DJ set around with all of those (hah that wud make it 20 hours long init )
  2. Nah I must of posted it wrong, I want headphones for production only. So Flat is what I'm looking for. Thanx for all the recommendations. Altho I'm a bit sceptic when it comes to AKG, I had one of these I think it was the AKG K701, I found them in a warehouse where I work at. They were probably very old and I didn't quite like the sound that came from them, sounded a bit weak, but it most of been a very old set of cans. And recently I've bought some AKG's for my ipod, I didn't like those either. As far as I know Ultrasone are a bit new to the market, but I've allready heard good things about them. Grado's are top of the line, but they can be quite expensive, and I'd probably have to order them online (I'd rather not, I don't trust online stores tbh). I'm very interested in Sennheiser's tho. Maybe that would be an even better choice. I do want closed ones tho, I want to isolate myself from the sound outside because I live near a very busy street, lot's of traffic. Thanx again for your recommendations
  3. Better be high-def or else... ...i post your nude pics
  4. LOoOoL  dat one needs to be in teh e-thread ^^
  5. So I'm getting myself a new pair of cans. It's about time, I've had these $20 sony's for ages now, and I think it's time for a move to something better. I'll mainly use them for music making and mixing. I don't intend to master with headphones, so I don't really need expensive cans. Anyways, I've found out about the Ultrasone PROLine 750's, they fit my budget and most review sites say nice things about them, altho there are some words about "missing high frequencies" that I've read so I'm a bit worried. Should I buy these? Or if you can recommend me something in the similar price range would be great, let's say I've got about $530 or 380€ to spend. I'm looking for something that has a very flat sound, as in I don't want hi-fi headphones but something that can output the most original sound I could get for that price range (Yeah, I know I should get speakers, but I'm on a limited budget rite now + I like producing w/ headphones ). Also something comfortable would be nice, even tho I've allready got used to these uncomfortable sony ones heh.
  6. Nicely done so far technology. Finish this tune by all means
  7. Ohh. Hardly got on 10th page 3 more months and its 20 woho :posford: :P
  8. Haha awsome vid. The kids look like they're trippin
  9. Bad skills at that pic. There are death-metal covers that look awesome, even with all the violence on the covers, but this one is just plain tasteless..
  10. Just because people don't analyze or pay special attention to the sound quality that doesn't make them bonehead! If you can't enjoy a party because someone is playing 320k's instead of wavs then the problem really is you. You can't accept anything less than perfection? I think both of these "djing w/ mp3" threads have really converted to DJ's vs Producer's threads. All I see is people posting about how "lame" dj's are for playing mp3s. But I really think what bothers these people is that they think DJing is easy and letting DJ's play mp3's is going to make their job's even easier. But that's far from the truth. DJ'ing is a hard to master skill, anyone who says it isn't has most probably never tried doing it or is a music artist who has experience in music production and know it's hard to make music but thinks that DJ'ing is a child game that anyone can master. I cannot argue that making music is in most cases harder than DJ'ing, but that's no reason to hate the DJ's. Besides, the DJ can only play the recorded music, you as an artist can perform it live! The beauty of changing the form of the track in just seconds is a magical thing that every artist should look up to. Something that DJ's can only dream about. But DJ's have their own magic too to look up to. They show the listeners their great choice of music by playing what they think is good music, they mix the tracks together live so it sounds like a big long journey. Not all DJ's mix it live, and not all Live Acts perform live, I wouldn't call neither of those DJ's or Live Acts. However, the ones that do deserve respect no matter how easy or hard their "job" is.
  11. That would be kinda impossible as it wasn't an international release. It was released as compilation dicsc every day in a daily newspaper, I had to pay about 5$ for each day it came out. I think I have a playlist somewhere.. I'll let u know when I find it
  12. Only 3 cds? I have some classic-music pack, about 20 CD's. Awesome collection imo

  14. Shakta - Amazon (Shakta Remix) and Shakta - Amazon (Ticons Snorkel's Remix) I've been playing these for the last 2 weeks and I'm all exstatic when i choon up. woaaaaaaargh!!! +favzzzzz
  15. Everyones on drugs these days, who's there to notice the difference (jus kiddin ). The dj's playing, it's not like they're gonna feel for the 1% of the people that can actually hear the difference when you play mp3s on loudspeakers. Besides, you would really need hear the sound from top quality speakers, something worth a fortune to hear that difference + you need to have good hearing. I don't think playing mp3s hurts anyone, it's not like you go out on a party and be sad because you can't hear that 115.325246246 hz frequency sound like u do on your pricey home speaker system. Don't tell me you go out on a psy/goa/whatever party and actually analyze what you can and can't hear. It's about having fun, enjoying yourself and enjoying the music that plays. Forget about the format, it's a hardly noticable thing, it would be like complaining that the temperature is 1 degree more than you're used to or the wind blowing a tad harded then u want it to.
  16. Yeah well, I was 8 at dat time. who remembers
  17. Oh. Didn't know that really. Thx Edit: Altho it says on wiki TIT came out in '94 and astral files in '96. I'm confused..
  18. Well they were called SFX before naming themselves AP. Astral files were the first AP release afaik. TIT3 came a year later i fink.
  19. No, astral files were a year before this one. http://www.discogs.com/release/156240
