I bought the AKG K701's!
Malevol3nt replied to Malevol3nt's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Haha yeah. Luckly I've got short hair It's not just these headphones, the ones I had before used to left a imprint on the top of my head in a shape of an elipse. But that only happened when I didn't cut my hair in some time. A cone fixes it all tho -

Ed: Yeah they're refrence class headphones, so they're for monitoring yeah I've bought mine from www.mediaaudio.hr , however they don't have the akg k 271 ones in offer it seems. I've searched everywhere, and that's the only akg distributor for croatia I could find. You could phone the guys at www.provox.hr, they don't have it distributed, but I'm sure they can order it for you, altho it will cost you much more than the actual price. Btw Otto, these earpads are so huge they almost cover up the whole side of my face haha I luv them tho Ed: Oops, I think I might of woken up the neighbors , the ones 2 blocks from here . Damn, I'ma need to soundproof my room, these things shud be closed type not open type 'phones. Oh well, they are supossed to be used in a studio anyhow, not an apartment hehe. -

Well actually, as I don't have a credit card, and as I can't make a paypal account, there is no way for me to buy stuff off the internet. I don't trust mail orders really. And I do not regret a single penny for this buy Yeah am just doing that everytime I'm away hehe Altho the stand's kinda weird, looks a bit unstable, but it has it's purpose Btw. what headphone amplifier did you get for the 'phones? -

400 euros. Easy money..... for someone rich..... I'm not rich tho Had to wait for my monthly pay to afford these But it's damn well worth it tho -
Please don't interrupt me, don't you see I'm in love??    Still have 300 hours of burn-in before they become superb! But even know this is the most perfect sound I've ever heard out of a pair of headphones!! This is just too amazing to describe in words :posford: So much frequencies my ears haven't heard before, it's really hurting my ears how much more texture I get out of these Just need to buy a headphone amplifier and I'm set (I have a preamp on my soundcard, but it's a consumer class soundcard so it's not really a good preamp) Ohh I'll never leave the house now! Gonna stay locked up in my room 24/7 Ed: Just listening to X-Dream - Relaxed Vortex.... trippiiiiiiiiiiiiin :posford: Ed2: Now listening to Vibrasphere - Northern Sunsets :o omg

Metacept Records is run by Igor Kauric a.k.a. Amphetax a.k.a. BronZe. He also used to run the site audiolab.org which was closed down shortly because he was too busy to continue working on it. He also had a minimalistic netlabel called Microme which lived for a period of some time, but its closed down now. He recently released an EP which u can find here and also on beatport. His myspace page: Amphetax Some of his previouse releases: [GCAF002] Ohm Lounge [EP] [GCAF006] Musical collaboration: VA - Unit vol.1 [GCAF007] Dreamer [EP] [MICRO004] So near so far [EP] [PMR10] Together [EP] Well he has a strong passion about music and I guess he allways wanted to have a label, so now that he finally has some free time he started this project, which I hope will last for a long time

A new label opening is in process. Genres that it will focus on are lounge, ambient, downtempo and triphop. It's expected that label should take effect with begining of new year (2008.). All releases will be available in mp3 and wav formats via major digital distributers, and in line with labels growth it's expected to have releases available in CD format. Also, send your CD demos to: Metacept Records Mihanoviceva 10 10410, Velika Gorica Croatia or LINKS to your mp3's to: demo |at| metacept-rec.com For all general inquiries mail to: info |at| metacept-rec.com http://metacept-rec.com http://myspace.com/metaceptrecords

Great moments? When I load up a synth for a new project, play with it, effectize it a bit if needed, and it sounds perfect From then on I build up more melodies but that's just the beginning of an adventure really. I never know what ideas mite pop in my head, i surprise myself on each project Bad momments? The usual pc not working issue that I have lately, which disables me from making music untill I buy a new set of audio hardware which is going to cost me alot of work time. I know I will thank myself later for buying these things, but everything else I need in life other than the stuff for my studio is on a big hold right now. Like my driverse licence for example. And I'm not the type of guy that likes waiting :/

You mean we won't think he's a kick ass psychedellic producer anymore??

do you use the arpeggiator?
Malevol3nt replied to Reznik's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
There's more then that really. Some vst's have programmable arpeggios, u can set the length of the notes etc. The random arpeggio can sound nice too -

Malevol3nt replied to Reznik's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Of course! :posford: Arpeggios can sound really cool, especially when you effect them with a dynamic delay and some filterings. I use them quite often. But I'm allways careful not too cheese it up too much tho. -
I've done a bit of searching and testing, and this is the best freebie recording vst I could find: http://www.anarchysoundsoftware.co.uk/html...AnarchyRecorder You need to enter your name and email, but the download starts immediately. Install the vst into your default vst folder. Then just load it up in your Master channel, and hit the Record button in that vst. After that of course you need to hit the play in your sequencer for the track to start playin. When you've finished, hit the stop button in that vst, after that click the Save button and save your file somewhere as a Wave file. You can convert it to mp3 later on Hope that helps!

There is an article about Korg Radius in an issue of Computer Music magazine (from last year I think). I'll look it up and see what they say about it Ed: Oops, did you mean Korg Radias or Radius? Cos this one is for the radias.

Silver age? That's rather a strange term for what is happening to goa right now, but it might be true. As I see it, theres quite a few artists that were trying to re-live this 'forgotten' genre, and they've succeded, but on a more light level. What I mean is, they didn't exactly fire up all the people and made them start listening to Goa. Sure, there's quite a bunch goa fans that we're eagerly waiting for goa releases, and they've probably recognized the oldskool sound of it and loved it , but on a larger level, it still hasn't reached its peak in the masses. To be honest, we need a sort of 'newly' version of goa trance. It doesn't allways need to have the same layout as the oldskool goa tracks had, why not make something new? Isn't one of the reasons that goa artists stoped making goa because they were using the same layout all the time and they've just got fed of it? I mean, I kinda like the goa releases from the last couple of years, but I still think the artists are looking for their inspiration a little bit too much in the past, in the oldskool stuff. I'd like to hear more creativity in this genre, as that's one of the things that could really fire up the scene all over again. It's just my point of view

I don't understand as to why you are waiting for a final edition of this pdf text before uploading it to wiki, as anyone from wikipedia can and probably will edit the page as soon as it gets online. Just put it on wiki allready, it looks great so far.
