Yeah I know how that feels. I've lost a couple of dozen project files, all because I didn't have any cd burners in those days, and a new hard drive was too expensive. Anyhow, if it's only the automation you lost, you can allways try to make a new one, and there's no worry that it will sound worse, you can only get it better the next time in my opinion

Astral Projection - Trance Dance It fits my view of goa trance perfectly. Altho it is actually a remix of Trilithon's "Dance Trance" track, I don't really hear alot of similarities between the two, and that's why I think of it as a 99% AP tune. The remix was done so good it sounds like a completely different track. This track defines goa trance to me

Yeah it's quite a little beast. Except its being raped so much lately that everybody uses it in their tracks. It's being used in psy-tracks as much as the Benny Benassi baseline is in every other dance track it seems. But still, the thing's a beast. Another one I'd recommend is Microtonic, it's not a vst fx, its a synth. But I think if you would mix these 2 together it would be a monster kill of possibilites hehe.

I'd rather listen to 15 minutes of pure art then 80 minutes of crap. If there's only 5 songs on the album, I'm fine with it, as long as it's something worth listening to, and that it gives the listener a sort of "the end" feeling to it. Not like a sudden cut and you're wondering where did the other ~30+- or so minutes gone.

Why does alcohol make our brain cells go free, loosen up and make the world see from a tottaly different perspective, I'll never know. But I wish it was like that allways, not that I have to feel totally different the next day. I can't help it, but I allways see things differently when sober, everything feels different. I don't feel that "free" no more, I don't feel the impact of music, everything gets so dull so quickly. I wish it could change, but I have no clue how to change it. another worthless 2 cents i guess... just had to let it go out i guess

I think if we were all drunk all the time we would enjoy life so much more. I mean the music sounds so fantastic, you don't care about the single thing in the world, and all you want to share is love & light. But even when I'm sobered up, my music sounds to me as the best on out there, it's simply because I want to make the best out of me, even at a situation I'm in right now, where I can hardly make anything because of these damn little things that don't allow me to continue with my music work. But I still think I have that potential to make some absolutely stunning music, and I'm not giving on the thought. I will realize it, one day I will, even if it takes me a long while, I will realize it. It's the thing that keeps me going on in life. Just my 2 cents while im under heavy alcohol influence..

Random talk eh? Well I'm just about making a list of every hand-tools and small machinery that I have, and get them ready for sale, as I need the money right now. If all goes well I should be able to buy the fireface400 soon, and continue with my music. I've been absent in music making for almost 2 years now, altho I do open my projects daily and just play along with the synths, but I can't really do much as my pc freezes whenever I've got a project opened for a while, due to my current soundcard. Hopefully I'll be back to track soon

Does anyone know more about this female vocalist? She appears on a track from Man With No Name tittled Paint A Picture (Vocal Mix). I think her voice is just amazing, but I can't find anything about her on the web, not even a picture or anything, the only appearances (according to discogs) she's had is on the MWNN cd and another "The Project" cd, which i found on discogs - Linky. Anyone know any more?

I've pretty much loved their every work to another world, which is my favourite album. Their later releases I'm not fund of much, it just doesn't represent their style anymore. What I like even more tho is their singles, if you would put all of their singles onto one cd it would make a killer album imo! e: I also absolutely love their work as SFX. I think it's something original, it's groovy, you can dance to it or you can just listen to it on the headphones while laying down. It's funny how the more you go to the past you find the more artistic side of their music. Seems like they're making music backwards or in the wrong direction doesnt it..

Ok I've just wrote over 15 lines and I accidentally delted them. Fucksake :/ In short: I hope AP will evolutionize what theyve done in the 20th century and continue it in the 21st, starting with their next release which is hopefully released this year. They have been an inspiration in my life, and allways will be. It's like my first love, I'll never forget them. I know they've turned more prog/fullon with the release of Amen, I don't know if this is because of money or not, afterall they've had their own record label, they've had Another World, which is rumored to be one of the most selling trance albums of all time, so what exactly is the problem? Have they lost interest in goa trance? Have they really forgotten what it's all about? I don't know, I can't answer questions in their name, only they know what is the truth and why they've stoped making beautiful music like before Amen. They're the sole reason why I've started listenig to goa, theyre the reason why I wanted to start making my own psychedellic and goa music aswell. It started as fun, but eventually it grew up on me, I want to make something as inspiring as their music inspired me, and more! So I owe them a great deal of tribute. Please AP, please make this the inspiring Goa Trance album like you used to make it in your formative years, label it whatever you want, but make the music like u used to make it, this is ALL we ask!!

Yes, this is the official AP appreciation topic. Under a lack of search results, I have found No AP appreciation topics, which is damn right SAD. You may not like their current work, u may judge and prejudice their upcoming work, but their old music is simply a work of art. Theyre the sole reason I've fallen in love with Goa Trance, the first one of the genre that I've heard of. If I haven't heard them I'd probably never hear of goa in the first place. So many great moments, whenever I was in a bad mood, all I needed was to push in the AP cd and hit the play button and the amazing journey could begin.. These guys deserve the respect as one of the best artists in the world. So much variation in their music, so much unforgetting melodies, uplifting moments, and truly psychedellic experiences. Their album Another World is rumored to be one of the best selling trance albums of all times. And they were even so kind to offer their music free for download on mp3.com (!), in mp3 format maybe, but still, a wonderful gift from AP! They had a huge influence in my life, and therefore I made this topic. If you're one of the fans of AP, fell free to post in this topic, this is all about them!
