  1. Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
  2. That's the sign of a good darkpsy album. That or brain haemorrhages.
  3. In that case it's probably fits the music pretty well
  4. The new KDD album for me (though I haven't bought much new stuff recently).
  5. I actually quite like it...
  6. No it doesn't
  7. Forgotten Ritual has a pretty awesome lineup if you're into dark psy. Also I don't think anybody has mentioned Antiworld in this thread.
  8. Whatever the relative merits of jewel cases and digipacks, something that is worse than both in my opinion is jewel cases that come inside a cardboard sleeve, or worse still a box. IM the Supervisor was almost impossible to get out of the box it came in. Though in retrospect I guess I should have taken that as some kind of hint.
  9. He's been saying that for aaaaaaaaages!
  10. Kindzadza - Proto Constructor
  11. I can see why somebody who travels a lot with their CDs would prefer jewel cases, though sometimes digipacks have a nicer look and feel to them, especially if they are glossy (like the last Androcell or Dark Nebula albums for example). I'm not keen on the matt black digipacks though (like those containing Ultimae releases) for the simple reason that fingerprints show up on them and never go away.
  12. Yeah I like that album. It's fullon and a bit samey but it makes me want to bang my head more than most CDs. You should definitely get Waves from Inner Space and Waves from Outer Space by Kindzadza, they are both excellent (the latter I found is one that took time for me to appreciate how good it is, so don't decide it's crap after one listen like a lot of the people who wrote in the reviews section did).
  13. I remember seeing them live at a festival in 2003. They were pretty darn weird. Is there a CD of theirs you recommend?
  14. There's definitely something about this music that appeals to the physicist in me. I know a few physicists who are into Autechre, with which this has quite a lot in common.
  15. I hadn't heard of her before this thread (It's Chrysalid, btw). But she is indeed lovely!
  16. I didn't even know that Xyla was female. Pics or STFU.
  17. Sungirl is also pretty hot: So hot, in fact, that NHJO considers her worthy of marriage.
  18. I almost started a thread about how much I love this album the other day, after listening to it for the first time in a while while watching the sunset during a train journey. Probably the best ambient album ever.
  19. Indeed. Sofiax is pretty attractive, for example.
  20. In fact the .jpg doesn't do this cover justice. The image is made of raised glossy paint on a matt background, which means that it feels nice to the touch as well as looking nice.
  21. I just got the CD in the post this morning so what I say here is based on my first impression. But I concur with much of what Jeller wrote. For those that don't know what to expect, the one-pitch basslines and rhythmic white noise that characterised Kindzadza's first album are gone; instead he has gone down the Highko/ Cosmo route that a lot of darkpsy producers are making at the moment. But he does it better than anyone else. Whereas other such artists fill their music with random noises and sudden breaks that have the effect of confusing the listener and destroying the flow of the music, everything here fits together nicely and makes perfect sense. That he is able to make this happen without sacrificing the unpredictability that makes this kind of music appealing is a testament to the man's greatness. "Intelligent" is definitely a good word to describe this music - it may sound pretentious, but it's true. Is it as good as Waves from Outer Space? It seems like a meaningless comparison to me since the styles are so different, but perhaps time will tell. Fave tracks (so far): 3,4,8
  22. Listening to it now :posford:
  23. Waiting for it to arrive in the post...
  24. Are you quite sure about this? I know that it isn't libel if what you say is an obvious parody that nobody is likely to take seriously (as with your example above), but I would be very surprised if you could say anything about a public face.
