On topic(ish): I like the music of Suntrip, but I agree with EP to an extent, since it seems to me that there's a lot of snobbery among some members of psynews about the relative merits of Goa trance and more recent psy subgenres. It's fair enough if people like the Goa sound and want to hear more of it, but don't pretend that trance has to sound like a carbon copy of Pleiadians or D5 to qualify as psychedelic. I wasn't there when old-school Goa trance happened so I can't comment on whether the "spirit" of the early scene is still there in the new-school scene, but something that consistently strikes me when listening to stuff from the 90's is that it didn't all sound like Filteria, and that's a large part of what made it good (no disrespect intended towards Filteria, I like his music) - IMO variety and constant evolution are almost essential ingredients of psytrance, since a lot of what makes music psychedelic is not sounding quite like anything one has heard before.
