Not many I expect, but I don't doubt that many people here have listened to samples of over 100 new albums on Saikosounds and elsewhere this year, which is a pretty reliable way of dismissing some of the 90%. Presumably the poll will also allow users to abstain from voting for 10 albums in each category if they haven't heard 10 albums which they think deserve a place, as in previous years.

Indeed. May I suggest allowing people to vote for a top 10 instead of a top 5 this year? There weren't that many voters last year, and giving people more votes would lead to more statistically meaningful results (also it's been a good year).

Yeah, no downtempo album I've heard this year has really stood out for me. Except for the Machinarium soundtrack.

Maybe name some of your favourite albums from previous years, to give people some idea of what kind of thing you like. Personally I've heard loads of new albums I think are good, most of them are darkpsy but a few good ones from other subgenres too.
