  1. this album is abosolutely fantastic!!! if you like bluetech / evan marc - this is a must get cheers klaus
  2. i'm norwegian. but i guess that doesnt count as i dont compose psytrance, but rather more on the ambient/electronic side. http://www.xerxes-music.com/xerxesambient cheers klaus
  3. some solar fields does good! or carbon based lifeforms.
  4. i´ve used trackers my whole life. i teach cubase at the university, but still prefer renoise (started on amiga with soundtracker) for composing and sequencing. renoise 1.8 has very good VST support, and now has audio recording and excellent automation features. cheers klaus
  5. if you like electronic music, 70 euros to see some of the best artists in the world gathered for a weekend at a beautiful greek island is a small price to pay. i hope many of you take the trip to say hello (specially to me! ABAKUS! SOLAR FIELDS! CBL! VIBRASPHERE., GAB LE MAR.. and so on and so on. holy shit this will be awesome! love, klaus
  6. agreed! fantastic album .x
  7. hello snowball http://www.discogs.com/release/649291 this is my album from this year... it is sold out now, so i decided to release it for free. you can download it from my site www.xerxes-music.com ambient/downbeat. hope you like it sir! and great choices you made.. specially new CBL is outstanding. cheers, .x
  8. doing similar things in songs is not a bad thing.. no need to re-invent yourself everytime. once you arrive at a style you are comfortable with, stay with it. it seems in the world of electronic artists, we always seem to get down on those who make a lot of the "same" things.. listen to rock bands, or pop bands.. they do the same shit over and over and over.. to GREAT success. just make sure the things your do similar are things that work well. no need to repeat something that isnt really good PS! i did not listen to the track yet, as i am at work and have lousy speakers. respectfully, .x
  9. thank you ever so much fosku! and thank you for listening .x
  10. tnx jack. new track available. simple tune, yet quite unique. let me know what you think of "emmy" respectfully, .x
  11. i wish my tracks would get 7+ pages of feedback... but obviously, me and other artists here who post tracks aren't as skilled and don't desvere the attention. think about it. .x
  12. thank you nemo! perhaps i should include a link to the song as well.. i somehow missed that in the initial post. here it is: xerxes-snowman_(feat_thomas_larsen) cheers, .x
  13. actually.. you may want to check some early klaus schulze and tangerine dream. they were onto something (specially schulze) that is very reminiscent of what you hear in trance/goa/techno today. ps. i'm talking about mid/late 70s stuff from schulze. .x
  14. mmm... so. another simon posford loving son of a killargh. i agree.. nobody really comes close to him. i dont worship him in any way, i dont even listen to what he does all that much.. however, EVERYONE has something to learn from him. a pioneer, an original "gangstah" in the truest sense of the word.. nobody can EVER take anything away from what he has done. if you wish to put him down because of all the attention he is getting.. please, be my guest.. but do know that you are wrong. really. .x
  15. i have "have beer with nemo" on my todo "before i die" list .x
  16. a weird ambient/electronica release is now offered on my website, for free ofcourse. many "odd" ideas and sounds are discovered while working on my second album.. this is one of them. hope you like it, and feedback is obviously always welcome! cheers everyone, .x
  17. that first track in the preview is really something huh? i shit my jeans when i heard it.. so incredibly soft and beautiful. cannot wait! .x
  18. i think it is impressive. i mean.. you DO KNOW what they'll bring to the table in an album release on ultiame.. however, their build-up towards the release is quite different, and quite unique. much respect to CBL for thinking outside the box. cannot wait for album to hit the streets. .x
  19. hello unikos in case you are interested, the album is now available from itunes. and shortly from a bunch of other reliable mp3 sites (beatport etc..). check my site for more info (www.xerxes-music.com) cheers, .x edit: VA-Oxycanta is up there on my fav 2006 releases!
