  8. hey everyone! the dutch label cardamar music will print 300 copies of "the mirror formula", and it will be out march 30, 2006. this album was released for free, and premiered on the di.fm chillout channel on december 19, 2005. this release will remain free, however, this is what the limited edition CD offers: - new mix/master of all tracks for far better sound. - a brand new bonus track. - new albumart from the brilliant norwegian gfx artist leonard faanes. the cd is 10 euro + shipping. you can pre-order it here: http://www.cardamar.com if you want a copy, you should hurry. more than 60+ copies are allready ordered since the announcement of its release 2 days ago. you will find the free version of this album in it entirety on my site (minus the bonus track that you only find on the CD). http://www.xerxesmusic.com respectfully yours, .xerxes
  9. my favorite artist of all time is vangelis, and i have everything of his as far as i know. albums by him i value the highest are: 1492 - conquest of paradise (OST) direct voices (might be what you are looking for) regardless, this guy rarely does anything wrong imo. enjoy .x
  10. have you asked chuck norris?

  13. my thoughts exactly.. autechre. anything by them really .x
  14. thank you sir! very kind of you to say so expect more from me, this was just a teaser.. "the mirror formula" is a very simple album stemming more from the oldskool tracker community than the commerical market.. my next release will be a lot more "accepted" in this and similar communities. i guarantee it cheers, klaus

i'm a bit split on this topic discussion. personally, i thrive on crticism and feedback, both good and bad. but i do understand djnemo and elysium's arguments here. when i compose, i make the track the way i want it. i dont purposly make it bad so that you can complain about it so if you have something negative to say about a piece of music someone else spent weeks and maybe months producing, consider how you word yourself. have some respect for the artist. dont just yell "this sucks".. either explain yourself what you would have preferred or do not say anything at all. or "this was not for me" is a good one. its respectful. as far as samples.. who cares? if a drink at a bar is amazing, you might want to know whats in it, but you dont question that in a negative way, do you? you say "aaahhh.. neat!" my two cents. cheers fellas, .x PS! i'm starting to really like these forums. very informative and interesting compared to many others. thanks guys
  18. thank you m8 thanks for taking time to comment! .x

  20. most music does.. except pop, which is boring regardless of how you listen to it .x
  21. being norwegian myself and very much influenced by our climate, you could try my album. its free for download and please dont be turned off by the fact that it is free.. i did this album for promotion. my "real" album is coming out fall 2006 approx.. you can read a review of it here: http://www.sonic-energy.net/ download it here: http://www.hellven.org/hlv02.html might not be what you are looking for, but its pretty chill, and inspired by the norwegian winter respectfully, .xerxes
  22. uhm.. HAHA. dont you think you got the cheese a bit mixed up there? beethoven and mozart were musical geniouses far beyond your wildest imagination.. and whilst hans zimmer is great at what he does .. he's the biggest cheese of them all. the BIGGEST .x
  23. agreed.. only 10/10 album i know of is vangelis-1492, however it seemed a bit off topic as this is a psyforum hehe.. glad you agree with abakus though! cheers, .x
  24. ott - blumenkraft abakus - that much closer to the sun
