Well thats fair enough to get annoyed by it, but the fact that the guy is still very much appreciated also says something about his impact on the music, also since he hasn't released a goa-trance album since 1997.... but remember nobody is saying he is the only good old skool artist, his music is just licked by a lot of people!

Who are those people if I may ask? Are they teachers of Goa? Well I agree with u about the pioneering thing.... It's not possible to measure the degree of pioneering that one artist have done, I would say, without being bias of your own taste in music... So why try??!

Well I don't see people here only mentioning hallu (maybe some idunno I didn't check) and that wouldn't make sense anyways there are no single pioneers here. How do u measure more classic tracks? Yeah Joti has made some great tracks but... bah its all just taste when it comes down to it

So its just down to interpretation of the word pioneer... and how you weight the meaning, I see what u mean. But I will still be saying that Hallucinogen was one the pioneers because he changed the progress.... otherwise this would be a very boring discussion if we just had to go to discogs or where ever to find out who were the first

Exactly... thats why I would never narrow my liking of music down to either melodies or bass lines.... but off course a melody or bass line can ruin a track for me if I really don't like them, but its still not same that a bass line or melody makes me like a track... that is the track as a whole, with all its elements!

How did I miss replying to this review Well I think most is already said, but I can only add that I find this album the best value buy of 2006 (and one of the best releases of 2006)IMO u get a top notch chill CD and top notch trance CD and thats for 10 dollars (roughly), if u don't own this already, be sure to treat yourself with this one! DO the right thing! I must say it took me some time to get into this one, but that just made it the more satisfying afterwards, great work Jikkenteki! Looking forward to the new one coming from u soon I hope!

Pulse 5 - CD 3 (Turntable-Mix-CD) just started it and are listing to Zodiac Youth - Devil's Circus (Elysium Mix) at the moment...

Shaolin Wooden Men.... I mean they must have influenced. I remember when I heard Remember The Slime on Pulse 5 I was pretty amazed how it sounded different from other artist (and that goes for their earlier stuff as well but I hadn't heard that at the time) and the came the suomi-soundi thing with Texas Faggott which I think had a very big impact aswell.... There must be a connection

I voted duh?? Since for me its really difficult to say if one element of a one complex structure is more important than another element of another complex structure... it all depends on the context and the artists skills... some make melodies that bends and twists your mind while others does the same with complex power full bass lines or a combination of both.... or it could be something totally different that puts u on or off...

I agree.... This is not about liking Simon's work really... but if u don't realize he was one of the pioneers then u really have missed Captain Obvious But then again I don't think anybody here would feel like that if they had to be honest.... but its just so damn cool to be anti.....
