    BrĂ¼no?

this is one of the movies (if it is one) that you have to pause it cause you just cant fukin believe what u see on the screen, i feel embarassed of what he does, and he's totally calm???? borat was cool, a character that people tolerated because he was different, but bruno he puts people in such awkward positions...the magic guy or whatever he was, that scene made my cry laughing, or the house without furniture, and then the black kid, trading it with an ipod, no one likes those things but hey, we all know nothing there is real ps, ive read that he nearly got skin cancer from heavy chemicals he used to remove the bodyhair, just make the comparison by yourself
  2. LOL, Coupling is really funny, espcially the weird guy The IT Crowd is quote funny too, the corporation boss can really kick u off from the sofa also check Titus, i think all the episodes are on youtube, it's one of the sickest comedies, almost unbelievable to notice that it is american
  3. downloading, hope it's nice, it made Arnie dance, i mean Conan
  4. Here's a very good artist, Outersect, i hate the fact that i discovered it so late, but hey, at least there is something that i can listen for some months Outersect - http://www.outersect.net a free track from him: http://www.outersect.net/Audio/Ikodia-SuperstitiousImmigrantMix-320.mp3 he released an album in 2007 called Caldera which sounds very very good, and an album is on the oven, probably released in the next couple of months also, i have checked some charity party for haiti in London, i went there specifically for Youth since i have never heard any of his dj sets apart from the KETAMA mixed release. he speaks my taste, but only until that day that i've listened to him, and it worries me because he's a the owner of the best DUB sound label LSD Records. The problem was, very poor mixes, very incompatible genres mixed, and i rarely heared something in dub rhythm played there, in other words, there is a style change, and i hope that does not count to the whole label, i just hate Minimal Techno shit, and it sounded a lot like that (please minimal fellaz, dont be offended) ps, here's a very nice set from a DJ called Sneaky Hippie, the guy does not have any kind of special technique, yet he mixes tracks from the same family sound quite good . http://www.slac.com/phoenix/sets/ HIGHLY PREFER the Sneaky_Hippie_-_Sanctuary_Post_Dub_Mix one
  5. exactly...kraftwerk or even some rare pink floyd stuff had maybe psychedelia though lacked of rhythm, in one word, it lacked of TRANCE (just try to read this word once as its meaning not as a genre), it really took time for electronic music to evolve during the 90s into unique sound, a lot of artists had tb-303's and never got a good use of it, listen to this fella, he did patterns that sound like they were edited on a detailed professional sequencing software, i am amazed, composing skills like that (at least for that time) were very rare or non-existent, researching in GENIUS on how music notes create rhythm concludes as stuck in classical music (mozart, bach) until (ex)kids decided to tweak around in comodores and ataris... ps, why doesnt anyone in this freakin planet use tb-303 anymore for basslines like that, it was rejected from guitar bassist since it didnt sound like a guitar bass at all, now it's being rejected from people who actualy the music they make/listen was created from this little piece...ignorance is indeed bliss
  6. i caught him live in london, amazing set, Domain and Up in Smoke are my top favs from the album, Domain hits you with dubbed psybreaks, very very good basslines oriented to make u dance, where Up in Smoke is the habbits of psychedelia and dub together, amazing album i must say.
  7. i usually get offended when someone does not like Ott , but thats not the case here at all, i've heard some tracks of yours u promoted, and i can say that we both speak a different langauge when we say PsyDub, now some people here are gonna shout at me what im about to say, but psydub originally has oriental roots, what i mean is composing style and rhythm, not just melodies, i think your just looking for a more deep side of dub, dub itself is a language which fits in all kinds of music styles, so we have to be very careful what we call psy and what not (98% of the psytrance releases have no "psy" touch at all, if u know what i mean). i've heard a lot of people calling this psychedelic dub ( ), to mee, it just sounds DUB even though i opened the topic for recommendations, there's nothing that i can recommend you for your taste . for the topic, here's another HIT, cant sit when i listen to this Gaudi - Truthful Old Man
  8. i myself am a hobby producer too though time is not one of my friends, and i rather listen than create, but i can tell you one thing, people might criticise me for this, but since the moment i have discovered OTT, i could never find better music than him, to me he's a centre of knowledge, what u can learn from him just by listening is amazing, it is pretty rare to find people with skills like him. give him a detailed try...
  9. Your search for the term psydub, psy dub, psychedelic dub, psychedelicdub returned 170 results (apart from this, nothing else helpful found) no, i remember i've heard forest sounds like birds, rain, etc, it had a lot of sounds from the original song though it was more trip-hop and lounge oriented (a mix of them), from what i've searched so far, it sounds a bit similar to the first track in This release, but your link sounds amazing too anyway, regarding the topic, i have noticed that the psychedelic side of dub actually inspired people out of its walls too, and it all starts on the circle of Youth/Ott/Hallucinogen, for example Toires makes some amazing music, it has a trip-hop like beat but a totally dubbed bassline (especially the track Ma Wal Hob from Sanati album), and the mix with the arabian culture just makes it orgasmic .
  10. i did a search before the post, didnt find anything specific about it, and we're not really talkin about direct dub here
  11. guys, i've noticed from all the talks that have been done on this forum, this specific style seemed to be pretty ignored. from my music journy through my life, it was chill-out music that really got me into electronic ( a Riders on the Storm remix that i could never find again ), and it always had a special place inside me, but not everything thats CHILL seems to have a chill effect, unfortunately, but again, this is a matter of taste, stuff like dark ambient or glitched are just offendive for me. anyway, i wanna share this topic for people who really adore this style, and i would love to see people adding more artist, im pretty sure i dont know all of them my top favourite is definitely OTT, a genius in composing, has a feeling for notes just like Bach and Mozart, an artist that never-ever disapointed me. my list goes something like this: Ott, Youth, some Younger Brother stuff, Cell (though only his Phonic Peace album, everythin outside that album has a different style), Slackbaba, Eastern Spirit, Kumba Mela Experiment, a small part of Gaudi, Pitch Black, Desert Dwellers, Peaking Goddess Collective a slight touch of this magic music have also artists like: Zero Cult, Chronos, Androcell, Chilled Sequence, D. Batistatos, Kalpataru Tree, Kuba, Side Liner, Suns of Arqa, The Orb, Shulman what makes this style magical is definitely rhythm, but rhythm makes no sense or it can get boring if its not paired with good melodies which loads of artists up there lack some preferations would do the topic good, here's mine: - Entheogenic - Ground Luminosity (Ott's New Yoghurt Loom mix) - Abakus - California Sunshinehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVbGMtCkCj4 - Chronos - Spiral Clouds - Androcell - Neurosomatic Circuit - Cell - Magic Karma greets
  12. damn, cover looks like the Blue from Eiffel 65 haha but the music is class, the EP really impressed

    Dune

it's not that i hate him but it's not his taste/style to fiddle with things like this, but he f*cked up 2012 for sure, some f*cking huge boats rescueing the mankind from solar flares, wtf is he on the animation itself i think is done by some independent group and it should be full CGI

    Dune

i am one of the most disappointed person of filmed books, even animated cartoons (manga) that are ported in hollywood movies always made me angry, but this is the hope that i have for animations, cause all you need is a good 3D Designing team and some people who really have good story telling skills, all we can do is hope for some good piece of art.

    Dune

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1160419/ it's confirmed, another remake and this time it's an animation the story is quite good but both the original and the ugly remake lacked of moments, i've seen the 4 hour long original and it nearly bored me to death. anyway, here is a fan-art made video which i thought it was the real trailer, still worth sharing the spice expends the consciousness (and f*#cks up your memory)

    District 9

the beginning is painful, especially for people who got used to hollywood movies, but the story touches quite deeply the cyberpunk sci-fi, very unusual for a commercial movie
  17. wow, the re-mastering posts sound very good, and date back to 2008? any progress report? anyway, To Infinity is one of the perfect tracks i've listened through my life, gives one the feeling of Warp jumps, very very very cosmic goa
  18. you can support the initiative, reduce arrogance and spare free space in the forum database by not posting...for a better life, the book is already in my brain for at least 2-3 years, prejudicing just never helps. the point of the movie is the interviews, just like it was What the Bleep?, anyway, some people just prefer hearing a theory from a directors point of view, if you have a problem with that, as i said, just ignore the topic.
  19. www.thespiritmolecule.com www.rickstrassman.com maybe a topic worth deleting, but this piece here is quite commercial though independently directed, yet it has been in net only as information so far and we've heard release dates like, 2008, than summer 2009, the last one was end of 2009 and it's still not out yet, some of you might be surprised with the existence of this but as you read it all i can say is that nobody seems to know more than what you read inside, so...anyone got some news for this??? now to prove my innocence for the topic, this documentary/movie is legally licensed by the DEA
  20. great, Boneva sounded really interesting lately and the new names make me curious
  21. congrats guys, looking forward for it (actually hearing forward for it???)
  22. im addicted too, it's actually the only track that has a Buddhism inspiration side, the other are mostly on Hindu cultures, though all of them are not good but PERFECT sir Ott melted for me Psychedelia with Dub, you have to be a very heavy weight ignorant not to notice that this guy is absolutely perfect on production, he has a mastering that sounds good even in cheap 96kbps previews on the net, yet he's a genius in composing, nobody studied rhythm like him, it's so bad that there are rare artists with this kind of style... i personally love every track on this album, actually i love every track he made, though Jack's Cheese and Bread Snack and Smoked Glass and Chrome are above unique. i love also his more uptempo based dub, tracks like Billy the kid strikes back, Rogue Bagel and especially Ground Luminocity 10/10 definitely ps, rumors spreaded around say he's up for a new album, though i've heard the same about Gargoyles (or maybe Umberloid)...Ott's projects, all i can say is CANT WAIT
  23. since most of your stuff is free on your website, can i make a request for the Higher EP?
  24. Indeed one of the best releases together with Radical Distortion and Zirrex, 2009 made it to three of them, great!!! i must say, somehow i feel this guy continued the job where Astral Projection started, and they stopped more then a decade ago.
  25. unfortunately i've detected this set very late how it seems, i thought it was something fresh... anyway, through my years in electronic music, i could decide in the first mix of a set if the artist is good or not, on general psychedelic trance, you have pretty much space to mix two tracks, where as in Goa u lack of that space a lot (thought thnx looping exists), anyway, i've never heard goa mixed so smoothly, very nice mixing technique .
