  1. vibrasphere - indian summer, one of the best banging prog tracks ever ticon - waiting for the knights rocks as well. if we're talking about new music - suncontrolspecies album is excellent.
  2. Finally a discussion on a forum where you can actually discuss instead of it being: "me: IM sucks" "people: you're just jealous because you are not where they are" "me: wtf? who said that? i just said that the music they make is not my taste, in vast contrast to what they did 8 years ago" "people: hahahaha you suck" anyway, IM sucks ass. They made 2 brilliant first albums and then it all went downhill. I don't care why, but like one of my friends told me once - the first 20 seconds of Mush Mushi are better than all of Vicious Delicious together.
  3. skazi - hit n run too much chaos going on there nah, actually mfg - project genesis is one of the most chaotic albums ever made :posford:
  4. sonitus ultrafunk surround great for custom autopans
  5. i don't care which version, dragonfly or novatekk. i want it for the wavs. who cares what's written on the cd
  6. Traditional Jewish music, especially Kleyzmer stuff isn't Israeli at all. It's based on European roots. You asked for traditional music of your country, not religion
  7. stop posting that crap well israel is not old enough to have traditional music.. so i guess goa trance would be it
  8. I'm still hoping someone will sell it for 5$ without knowing the true value
  9. you just made me jealous. fu.
  10. I have a friend which owns this record and actually listens to it once in a while. wtf.
  11. Who said that this is any better than today's music?
  12. ok, and how many good tracks there are in beatport? much more than everything released a few years ago.
  13. I think you are all wrong. VST and software is the best thing that has happened to music ever. Yes, there is a lot more music produced and also a lot of crap music produced but the ratio of good:bad music remains and there is a also a lot more good music produced. Saying that 99% sucks is your personal taste, because you grew up in a different time and music is after all about taste and trends. Music you think that sucks today will be the classics for people in 10 years, so... Anyway, talent is not related to money. There was crap music also 15 and 20 years ago when only the rich could afford making electronic music. It's just that no one remember it because, well, it sucked. Same goes for today's music. Don't blame the tools for the product.
  14. ripoff of http://www.discogs.com/release/246402 ? lol

  16. Actually I wasn't too impressed with the samples I heard, so I don't MUST HAVE IT yet, maybe after I'll hear all of the tracks. Besides, it's not released yet.

  20. i listen to some tracks and copy it nah, seriously - i take a vst (usually either surge or z3ta) find a bass preset which fits my mood and start finding a note sequence with my keyboard. i can't play properly so i end up just writing it. so i write a few basic notes, with a velocity groove i have in mind. then it's tweaking time. i put 1 bar on loop and play with the vst until i get something that sounds nice. i can tweak the notes more while doing so. once i get a properly sounding bassline i apply sidechain compression on it, and eq the kick to make it fit the bass soundwise. then i tweak the preset some more, maybe change the notes again and then start apply processing on the bassline - be it stereo expansion, eq, whatever.
