  1. Some of the religion is basic fact but unfortunately most of it is just up the walls...
  2. Religion... is a way of life. My interpretation of the word at least. Also it goes very much with culture. Religion is a way of life and thusly results in specific cultures. But do we need religion now? We've got science and facts, usurps religion directly. No?
  3. Oh right, on topic please SQUAREPUSHER Got Ufabulum and I was not entirely blown away but I am seriously enjoying that album.
  4. I feel very small when I compare my 2500 pieces of plastic (vinyl/CD) to his 10 epic LEGO pieces...
  5. Just sent you a PM, or whatever they're called. You guys should start to collect LEGO, my dear friend Jalappe has gotten around to buying the millenium falcon for 1500 euros. It's nice lookin' and stuff... but... 1500 euros!?
  6. Hah! Garbage and Basscadet is future soul music. I love 'em, my Garbage 12" is probably the most precious and most expensive 12" in my collection (runnin' at 45 Es, LOL). I'll be putting the LP-box aside until I've gotten your adress. I'm absolutely not going to make any money out of something as records. I know the real value of these plastic pieces and do not understand the hysterics.
  7. These topics are also a bit elitist... Am I worthy enough to post in it at all?
  8. Intelligent is not an acceptable signifier of music. You express whatever you feel however you want, if people like it or not is not important. I could say that the music I listen to is intelligent, but my opponents can say the same... and I can't dispute. We can say that something is formulaic... generic... follows the same patterns... that would be more correct. And my above suggestions deviates. But all they are, are interestingly different and groovy... just like I like it.
  9. Autechres Exai is a complete disaster... the production is of course through the roof but the ideas has simply petered out completely. I bought the 4xLP and was ready to get my head blown of a la Garbage or Basscadet, but noooo... they've totally shifted gear into the negative. I have sorted through the 4 LPs and found 2 tracks that I liked. Rotwang do you want the LP-box, I could send it for free if you want?
  10. There's always youtube, don't think those tracks are going anywhere as it is all from his own label and not a big corporation.
  11. On another note, Seb & Marcus should stay with the Minilogue guise. Son Kite was good and the tracks are still good, but it is a different time we're talking about. They're much more comfortable in the minilogue guise right now, just listen to this epic
  12. KU:PALM is a big no, but the "singles" are indeed a treat. Sleepwalking, 101, Avalanche, Pyramid and Shape Charge. Actually, Modus Operandi is probably the only good album he has produced. With Rupert you will want to mostly check his 12" projects. Unfortunately the Presha XIII 12" is just embarrassing... already sold out though and going for 15 Es on discogs!?
  13. I'm actually not ever going to attempt changing my sleeping/waking rhythm. I go to bed at 5 am (0500 hours) wake up at 2 pm (1400 hours). +/- an hour. Of course if I really have to I can get up at any time and go to bed at any time... it's not very hard when you don't have any other choice.
  14. People are seriously praising Baccano. I just finished the series... and it's just all over the place. I know the producers were having fun here but I can't say that the end result was blowing my mind. Next up is Berserk (Original Series). Then of to the movies thereof...
  15. damn bottle was broken, noticed it was leaking. Luckily not a big dent so just poured it into a seperate bottle. Lost just a few drops. Of course I'm posting the most blurred out smallest picture... Bunnahabhain 12 Years Un-chillfiltered, it's totally a nice whisky. We'll see if I buy it again, but I don't think I will.
  16. This is computer plugged in with a physical CAT-wire... no routers no wi-fi. 499 SEK/month.
  17. I'd second Ishq and Eat Static. I will add Photek.
  18. Hmmm. Yeah I guess I could ask the bookstore I frequent, usually you can order from them if there's no book stocked at the moment. They're a fantasy/sci-fi dedicated store though. Maybe I should broaden my perspective a bit. I've now gone through both The Name Of The Rose and Pillars Of The Earth. Umberto Eco seems to have the elaborate school book approach to things, Name Of The Rose certainly could be analyzed and poked around quite a bit with. Probably that's why it made for such a horrible movie, all details and twists left out. Ken Follet follows a more simplistic (not entirely bad though) approach to things, that's probably why it has been assimilated into a 10 part series for television. The characters are utterly one-tracked or one dimensional, one is all bad one is all dumb one is all good, so on so on. Aliena and Jack are probably the only ones to go through some more shifts in life but as laik put it having around 500 pages dedicated to only these two people simply makes for a tiresome read. That aside I'll probably have me the World Without End as it is a sequal. And well, somehow I will probably end up watching the series as well. I have more than two hundred books, but I wont pay for having them catalouged like on discogs. If it was free then yes.
  19. hmmm, I'll probably go through that list too... Eden of the East has been on my mind for some time, should I buy? should I buy?
  20. I certainly should be listening to the music other people collect... unfortunately the above track doesn't grab me at all. I like house, though, but the elements in the above one doesn't come together to create magic rather it's more of a clashing nature. It sounds like house that is trying its very hardest to be deepy... 5/10, it's not all that bad. Your time to kill my taste !
  21. I like Anodyne - 4 Empires EP ( http://www.discogs.com/Anodyne-4-Empires-EP/release/3881964 ) Grinch - Chapter 1 ( http://www.discogs.com/Grinch-Chapter-1/release/3482734 ) Monolake - Ghosts ( http://www.discogs.com/Monolake-Ghosts/release/3459704 ) Photek - Avalanche EP / Sleepwalking EP / The 1 & 2 EPs with Shape Charge & Pyramid. Phon.O - Black Boulder ( http://www.discogs.com/PhonO-Black-Boulder/release/3620688 ) nifty one...
  22. I had a anime killing spree just a few months ago... I don't really know what happend but I think it all went downhill when my friend persisted in not watching Ergo Proxy to the end. I bought it along with a few other titles and I was hooked. 1) Moribito (5/5) Can't really put my finger on why, I think it is pretty damn good no matter how you twist and turn it. 2) Iria (5/5) Probably the coolest anime I've watched. 3) Jin-Roh (4/5) Nicely done, very philosophical. 4) Serial Experiments Lain (4/5) Experimentalism galore. 5) Ergo Proxy (4/5) While it has a tendency to stall a little I still like it. Fun and interesting characters. 6) Mardock Scramble 1 & 2 (4/5) Sci-Fi Action with not a single dead moment, unfortunately they're a bit short. 7) Urotsukidoji Legend of the Overfiend & Legend of the Demon Womb (4/5) Might be a bit over the top, but I like it! 8) Shigurui Death Frenzy (4/5) This one takes some getting used to but it is certainly quite interesting. 9) Akira (4/5) It is good, really good... but the best? Not in my opinion. A bunch of 3/5s, they're all good enjoyable anime... Black Rock Shooter, Canaan, Claymore, House Of Five Leaves, King Of Thorns, Phantom (Requiem For The Phantom), The Big O, Tokko, Vexille (CGI, whatever), Blood-C, Evangelion 1.11 & 2.22, Freedom, Nausicaä, The Sky Crawlers. and of course one 2/5 which I wouldn't really recommend, Planzet. A short CGI-video with a cool idea but a remarkably crappy execution, an avalanche of plotholes.
  23. And to keep up the cheesy holes I'm not eating anything but drinking anything and it fuckin' tastes good too
