  1. What do you expect? You made it very clear that you are not interested in any honest replies or real advice for your page. You just want praise to push your ego.
  2. Have you tried Ken Follet and his novels? Pillars of the earth is huge but I have to say I haven't read it so I can't comment on how good it is. An alltime favourite of mine is Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. It's a historical murder mystery set in an Italian monastery in the year 1327, an intellectual mystery combining semiotics in fiction, biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory.
  3. Ok, thanks for the info. How big (as in how many artists will be featured) do you plan the site to be?
  4. How will you structure the database? Or will it not be a database but something else?
  5. Because I'm not head over heels about your idea I'm automatically not in the mood to support artists? Quite a strange analogy and btw why is it so important what I or anybody else here think about your idea? And if it is so important what we think then why dot you get mad about our honest opinions instead of either explain what's the point or think about them? Either you do it because you like it or you don't but that's it imho.
  6. How you described it in your last posts it sounds like a site with reviews. Not that there is something wrong with that but you have a huge database of reviews here and then there's the psyreveiws page.
  7. I have to check it out. Pryda - Alfon is also awesome. Not psy but very good music. One of my lesser known favourites was Slam - Oriental Mono from the Space Mantra compilation. It's the only track by this artist (at least on Discogs) and when I was asking around back in the days nobody knew anything about other releases.
  8. I like Terrafractyl's album Electronic Revolution a lot. It does not have much in common with IM for my ears but maybe you still wanna check it out.
  9. I liked the book and I think it's worth a read. Trainspotting itself was a little better but it's still ok. Can't say anything about the movie but there is a prequel book to Trainspotting: Skaboys. It's about the whole group and how they started with the H and everything. I'm reading it right now and I like it better than Porno. I got the English version and the Scottish dialect needs some time to get into but it gives the book quite a thick atmosphere. I think you should check that out if you like Trainspotting.
  10. It would be nice if you don't twist my words. I said "I don't know your friends so I can't judge them. But maybe they are not very intelligent from the beginning so depending on their behaviour obviously smoking weed does not make it better." You said they are not very intelligent so don't blame that on me. I don't even know them. And mind you, the behaviour you described is a sign of addiction and not of being intelligent or not. Addiction has nothing to do with intelligence. As I allready said, taking drugs can be risky. Mainly (but not only) because you can get mentaly addicted to drugs. But you can get addicted not only to illegal substances but also to lots of other stuff: TV, gambling, videogames, internet, sugar, fat... So not only with drugs but in general it helps to be self-reflective about your behaviour.
  11. THC is not able to kill any braincells, not even if you smoke 20 joints a day (not that your braincells would matter considering the amount of smoke you put into your lungs...). Either you missread the articels or they were blatantly lying. I also don't care if you quote the articles, it does not make that information right. You find lots of bullshit on the internet, also on magazines like Stern or Spiegel. Get some books, scientific ones, about what THC does to your brain and then we can talk. Even on the net you can find scientific stuff about what different substances can do to your brain with the bad and the good sides. If you want to talk about how bad drugs are you have to read that, just quoting Spiegel will not help you to make your point. But you are right, smoking too much can be bad for you (or depending on your psychological profile even smoking once in a blue moon can be very bad for you). As i said, it's all a matter of dosage and other stuff and as I also said taking drugs in general is risky. And yes, you can see some people who smoked too much, especially if they started smoking weed in their teens, who are weird. But in most cases they get more "normal" if they would stop smoking. I don't know your friends so I can't judge them. But maybe they are not very intelligent from the beginning so depending on their behaviour obviously smoking weed does not make it better. That still does not mean that all the people who smoke weed are like your friends. I bet you meet lots of people who smoke or do other drugs and you wouldn't notice if they don't tell you.
  12. You keep on saying that drugs are wrong but you don't deliver many points why. You also don't say why you think that. You do speak about them being unhealthy and yes, depending on how you consume them (frequency, dosage and what not) they are very unhealthy (and some are so risky I would not take them,l no doubt about that). But depending on how you consume then and your state of mind (as in not being weak for psychological diseases like schizophrenia and what not) they do not give you any permanent brain damage. And yes, I do have a hard time to accept what you are saying because you are not responding to any scientifcal remakrs of mine and because you give me the impression you didn't really read up on drugs but only repeat what you read in some magazines or what is the general propaganda. But feel free to proof me wrong and tell me where you got your information about drugs are being wrong (which is a very black and white view even if you say you don't have that).
  13. If those substances do make you feel great that's perfectly fine. You write that my view on drugs is not good and that I insist on using drugs. Yes, actually I do insist on using drugs for myself. But I do not insist, and I wrote that very clearly, that other people should do what I do. I also didn't say anything about other stuff that can make you feel good that is not labeled as a drug. Black tea does not have the same effect on me that it has on you. So why do you insist for me to do like you do? And why do you think i do not know about stuff like black and green tea and the likes? Btw. tea are leaves from a plant, same as weed is a plant, same as gingko is a plant, same as tobacco is a plant. All of them are drugs from the biochemical point of view. Whatever you consume has good and bad effects, it doesn't matter if you label the thing as a drug or as food or if it is labeled as illegal or legal. It's all about with what you can deal and what not and what it does to you. Have you read up about possible side-effects from gingko or do you just like it because it makes you feel good and because it's legal it is not worth to inform yourself about it?
  14. Actually it does not have to make your brain much dumber. It all depends on how you react on a certain drug and how you can use it. I used to smoke and study for my exams and I passed all of them. So either I'm extremely intelligent and the drug just brought me down on a normal level (which is meant in a sarcastic way, mind you) or what you are saying is simply not true for all people. And just to make that clear: I'm not saying people should smoke and go to school just because it used to work for me, that's not the point. It's unhealthy, especially since it is mixed with tobacco, no doubt about that. But to be honest: so what? Lots of stuff we eat daily is not that healthy either, drinking alcohol is not healthy, drinking coffee is not healthy, the polluted environment is not healthy and so on. It's all a matter of balance: how much do you use it, how do you react on it it and so on. Btw. what are those substances that make you feel good but don't alter your braincells? As far as I know being happy itself is a biochemical reaction involving dopamin and serotonin (besides other stuff) so as soon as you feel something your brain is altered. Have you ever been really in love? Now that's a mindfuck if you look at it from the biochemical perspective. Obviously if you smoke weed or take chemicals your brain chemistry gets altered in a more heavy way but even if you take MDMA and similar stuff it does not permanently change your brainchemistry. If you manage to consume in a healthy (means with enough brakes, reasonable amounts and so on) way that means. Again, I'm not saying people have to use drugs and I'm also not saying it's healthy or it contains no risk. But your black and white view about the bad drugs does imho not come from a scientifical perspective but because of some propaganda from the governement and the likes.
  15. So your point is because smoking weed or hash is not doing you any good it also will not do anything good to anybody else? It's perfectly fine for you to not enjoy the experience. But thinking that a substance feels the same for everybody on the planet and is therefore not usefull is just wrong. Is it really so hard to understand that people are individuals and don't react all the same like you do? I would never say somebody else should try this and that substance just because I like it so I think it's a little strange that other people feel it's appropriate to tell me the ultimate truth about substances becasue they had bad experiences.
  16. Expressions Of Rage was among the first psy/goa albums I ever bought. It's a classic if you ask me and all the tracks rock. My favourite there is Skywalker. Healing is also amazing and imho way better than the two albums inbetween Expressions Of Rage and Healing, I don't really dig those.
  17. The track you posted with the last link is amazing. I couldn't really get into the rest of the songs I tried. But this one is a gem imho...
  18. An artist whose live set put my in trance (or maybe I should say that made me tripping like fuck while on acid) was Crossing Mind. He sounds like old-school goa but with the production and mastering skills of today. I like to trip at parties but I have rarely been so blow away by a live set. Cosmosis was playing after him and even when Bilbo was ace he was far (for me) away from what Crossing Mind was doing. He's a French guy and has two albums out, maybe you wanna check him. I was also tripping balls because of an Time In Motion liveset but unfortunately their album didn't move me that much when I was giving it a try. Allready mentioned in another thread is the free album from Stereofeld (available at Ektoplazm). It's in the direction of progressive psy but to me it sounds a lot more original and also fresher than most of the psy-prog that is coming out nowadays.
  19. I can only take a guess but maybe you mean something that is psy but does not sound generic and like something you have heard countless times before? Something a bit more unique but still in the borders of psy or it's subgenres? For me there are a few albums that go in that category: Talpa - The Path; Benza - Retrofuturism; Terrafractyl - Electronic Evolution. I can't come up with anything more and ot be honest I have a hard time finding psy/prog/whatever stuff that doesn't give me the impression of something I've allready heard.
  20. 1. If you knew that they wouldn't be any consequences at all in this life and afterlife would you kill a person? (You choose who). Most likely not (I hope) 2. If you had the power to seduce any woman/man you want and then erase the incident from their memory would you do it? Yeah sure, I just don't understand why you have to erase their memory since we're talking about seducing and not drugging them up and rape them? 3. The button question. I told you to push a button and win 10 million dollars, but someone you don't know will die would you push it? Hard to say, I hope I wouldn't. 4. If you could travel back in time and change history would you do it? I might maybe change some stuff I did wrong in my life but history in general might be tricky (there are lots of sci-fi stories about that topic) 5. If you could create a clone of you to do all the hard work would you do it? (Clone is 100% human being). No, a robot would OK tho. 6. If I told you that you could be powerful, successful and rich, but you have to sacrifice your friendship with one of your closest friends would you do it? No a.Not your best friend, but a close one. b.You can't choose which one. c.Not with a fight. You just erase your friendship from his memory. 7. If you had to save one human or 100 animals who would you choose? a. Inteligent animals, no insects, fishes etc. Think dogs, cats, apes etc. b. The human is some random adult you don't know Most likely the animals. Doesn't make much sense I know... 8. You are a religious leader like the Pope and everything you said is taken by the world as the absolute truth. One day you find out that there's no God, any God and after death we just ceased to exist would you tell to the world or let them believe? I would for sure tell them. 9. If you was the first and only human to have the opportunity to live in a friendly alien civilization would you do it? There's no return and you are the only allowed to live there. Very hard, maybe I would try it out but since I can't even imagine to leave my country for good I think I would be too chicken to actually leave everything behind. 10. Listen to Skazi live for 24 straight hours (no earplugs allowed) or have a day with radi on a mountain? Why not both?!
  21. IF you ever do that, please contact me first.
  22. Yeah, that's true. But you could say that about all electronical styles besides commercial disco-electro and commercial house.
