  1. Quality Relaxation is a fantastic comp, shame about the financial situation. Hopefully PKS will make it up eventually! Today I recieved: The Orb - U.F.Orb The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land Pendulum - Hold Your Colour The latter is weird, a drum n bass album - one of the tracks samples the old version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... Completely threw me off the track! (Good sample though )
  2. In a word, no.
  3. Does psybient count? My top 5 albums in that category are: 1. Entheogenic - Dialogue of the Speakers 2. Shpongle - Nothing Lasts... but Nothing is Lost 3. Capsula - Synthesis of Reality 4. V/A - Chilling Goddess 5. V/A - Life Is... Dimensions
  4. L.S.D is a fucking phenomenal track (and that's saying a lot coming from a person more into downtempo and less into any form of trance). Sooner or later I'm going to have to buy the Twisted album.
  5. Okay guys, sorry about that Here's the mix! http://s64.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0C7XY76JM4DG2HYOKJM6879XX
  6. Start with programs like Fruity: http://www.flstudio.com Then move onto programs like Reason, Cubase etc.
  7. Here's my second 'mix' - a little shorter than the first. Just a selection of tracks I've been listening over the week. Tracklist: 1. Shulman - Random Lifelines 2. Celtic Cross - Hicksville 3. Shpongle - Around the world in a Tea Daze (Ott Remix) 4. Vibrasphere - Manzanilla 5. Abakus - A whole new way of looking at the day 6. Entheogenic - Ground Luminosity (Ott's New Yoghurt Loom Mix) 7. Pitch Black - Ape to Angel (Bluetech's Evolution Remix) 8. Asura - Land & Freedom 9. Carbon Based Lifeforms - Artificial Island Yes, I know Ground Luminosity was in the first mix too... (not this remix though, suckers! ) http://s64.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0C7XY76JM4DG2HYOKJM6879XX
  8. But if I told you, it wouldn't be a secret now, would it?

  10. Nice tracks in there! I'll listen in more depth later.
  11. Tracklist looks good. Downloaded, listening right now. Sounding very nice (20 minutes in)
  12. Hehe, trance baby. He likes Ott too? Nice taste!
  13. Nice work Kristian.
  14. Well I think that Entheogenic's Spontaneous Illumination is the best psychill album for your taste. Floaty, lush, tribal drums and chants... Extremely nice album As for 'real' ambient I'm not too experienced there, maybe someone else can enlighten you.
  15. Thanks I'm thinking floaty incense lighting stuff hehe... Can't mix right now though because I'm not feeling so good.
  16. 1. Johann Johannson - Odi Et Amo 2. Helios - Velius 3. Mr. Projectile - I Am Back 4. Bugge Wesseltoft - Hope 5. Felix Laband - Red Handed 6. Secede - Leraine 7. Miwon - Hush 8. Studio Pankow - Heidelberger Platz 9. Bichi - Whirl __ A Stream Of Comfort, To Cool And Surround Me, Untill I Lose Sight Of My Own Defeat 10. Zorn - Gone 11. Marconi Union - Buildings and People 12. Vector Lovers - Neon Sky Rain 13. Aeroc - My Love, The Wave Break
  17. Depends entirely on your taste, doesn't it?
  18. Next they'll be installing hidden microphones in our houses and charging us for singing copyrighted material.
  19. Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination Future Sound Of London - Lifeforms Ishq - Orchid Solar Fields - Leaving Home V/A - Quality Relaxation Also check out Robert Rich, Vir Unis, Vidna Obmana, Steve Roach, Brian Eno, and Biosphere if you're looking for 'real' ambient rather than psychill.
  20. Comedy gold. Thanks a lot!!
  21. Okay then, say a label spends 10,000 EUR on releasing a CD. One person buys it (that's a couple of EUR profit for the label) and rips it. Then he/she uploads it to DCC. 10,000 people download the CD without paying the label anything whatsoever. Now the label is in 9,998 EUR debt. 10,000 downloads = 10,000 lost sales Okay so maybe in this scene you wouldn't get just one buyer. But on average a release will sell 500 - 1,000 copies. PKS said himself Quality Relaxation cost 10,000 EUR and he (so far) has sold 700 copies and lost around 7,000 EUR. He didn't lose any money at all then, did he?
  22. Shaft

    cd

Oh nice I suppose that the label will have to support the website costs though, probably why the 'high' price.
  23. Shaft

    cd

Remember that downloading from a website does incur bandwidth costs. Say a website's traffic limit is 10GB/month - and you pay more for every 1GB you go over. The average psytrance song is roughly 8:00 in length - in MP3 terms you're looking at about 8MB at 128kbps. If you want to download it in WAV format that's 80MB. Say 1000 people download the track in WAV format, that's 80GB in bandwidth costs. This isn't to mention bandwidth costs when visiting the site!
  24. Thanks I might do another one but I'm not too sure yet... Glad you liked this one though.
  25. I much prefer buying the physical disc as opposed to downloading the release. Of course there are times when the release isn't available or is download only, so there is no other choice but downloading - but for me the whole package of cellaphane, jewel case, artwork and CD is much more appetising than a digital file.
