Nah, I like all of it, bar the annoying samples...
  4. That's cool. I was just making sure you knew what you were doing, and it seems like it's the case. I was thinking more from an accessibility point of view as well, text links will display in any browser - whereas flash objects may or may not load... Yeah, I prefer it all in the 1024x768 view - but I'm just thinking about minimising clicks. Say if you had thumbnails of the album cover (100x100px or something around there) with descriptive text to the right of it, you could fit on a good amount - and obviously as the artist gets more releases the page will get bigger anyway - so keeping the site to 1024x768 will be a problem, I think... Check my pic: No worries.

  7. Do you not use CSS for design? HTML is designed as a structural markup, not a presentational one... And if you just quit the whole table based way of thinking then you could cut your page weight in half at least, you wouldn't have to do as much managing at all... in fact, when you can change your whole design using a different stylesheet (without editing any of your HTML pages), then CSS starts to look extremely appetizing. And forgive me for just ripping your site to shreds, but why have you got a flash navigation when the buttons are just a simple colour change? You can do this with a text link, surely. I'd also like to point out that areas should be available to the user in no more than 3 clicks - if users are clicking forever to get to sections of your site, they're more than likely to give up. Drop down menus are a good way of minimizing clicks on your site... Why not just have the releases on the artist page (tracklist, cover art, short description)? And then when they clicked on it then it would go to the release ID in the database? All points you'll need to consider if you are creating 1000s of pages for artists, releases etc.
  8. I can add: New Chillcode compilation (Out in ~a week) New Chill Tribe compilation (Out soon?) Ott 2 (When Twisted get their act together) Backroom Beats 3 (Same as above) Younger Brother 2 (Same as above) Talpa - Cindarella (??) Vibrasphere downtempo album (??)
  9. Go for it dude.
  10. Axe the table based markup and it'll be much easier to update and manage - especially with one CSS file for all the pages... For example: <html> <head> <link rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles.css" media="screen"> <title>title</title> </head> <body> <div id="header"></div> <div id="navigation"><ul><li><a href="#">artists</a></li><li><a href="#">releases</a></li></ul></div> <div id="maincontent"></div> </body> </html> Then styled with CSS. No?
  11. You should
  12. Yeah, I know that one. Ott uses it in his remix of 'Around The World In A Tea Daze'.
  13. And just before bed: Androcell - Process Of Unfolding

  15. How's the compilation coming along?
  16. Mostly Psyshop but I also order a ton from Saikosounds... Also use Amazon.co.uk for stuff that's more widely available, and then there's of course buying directly from the label (just purchased Secede from Sending Orbs... Looking forward to it A LOT )

My review: First track has a very definite electro/breaks thing going on... Not sure I like the lyrics, but they work with the track. Solid opener, love the first breakdown with the pads... Sweet! The second breakdown is also a killer. Second track is mixed in gradually, with the bass drum coming in at odd moments, building up to somewhere - and then there is a rhythm solo in the first track and the second track storms in effortlessly. The kick here is SOLID, very mechanical. The mixing is also flawless at this point, it's almost as if the second track WAS the first track. A good sign of things to come. The melody here is smooth and uplifting... Sweet! Okay, it's time for track 3 - and just a short transition into it, but the flow is kept - and *yet another* solid track from Beckers. This one is also pretty techy, but isn't that the entire point? Cool stuff. I almost missed the next track. Yes, the mixing is again solid here. Ah there it is, a different melody - definitely track 4. Like this one a lot, nice percussion and a great general atmosphere here. The lead that comes in around 28:40 is solid Very danceable. Okay, here comes track 5 - transition is seamless AGAIN. Super job with your mixing nemo. And I'm definitely feelin' this track. Not as electro as the first track, it's more trance with electro elements. But that's okay! And now it's time for track 6, mixing is good - flow is kept. The bass is pretty solid again - the energy levels are pretty high all the way through the mix, definitely a good thing. It's a cool track but there's better tracks here... "Coincidentally", all four Shiloh tracks in this mix are off the new album - but that's a good thing because they all sound very cool. And this one is no exception - smoothly mixed in from the previous track. More electro influenced tech trance, very tasty. Like this one a lot. Extremely atmospheric, uplifting.. Almost sent the album straight to my 'to buy list' (I have to check out the rest of the album now!!!). Super choice! The transition to the next track isn't as smooth as the rest - it works but only just. Again, we have the electro theme running through the track - however the female voice in the track is pretty annoying. I guess this just doesn't float my boat really, which is a shame because the previous tracks are all pretty cool. And now the almighty Ticon. I own Zero Six After and I have to say it's an absolutely fantastic album. There's so much raw energy in this track, it just puts a massive smile on my face. The mixing isn't as hot here, harmonically speaking - perhaps the track should be introduced later when the previous track loses the bassline? Anyway, it doesn't distract from the sheer awesomeness of the track. Great mix mate, Shiloh definitely is worth checking out. Great mixing and an all round super summer tracklist. Just one thing - I'd have preferred a wider selection of artists, but that's something to work on. Keep it up!!

  23. I use a Mac Mini, but I'm going to upgrade to an iMac once Apple release OSX10.5 and Reason is compatible with 10.5 Macs are very stable, you're right about the integration - almost no drivers are needed for them, it has Garageband right out of the box... Macs win, for me. However, they do come with a big price tag, so if money is a problem then you can get by with a PC.
  24. Off topic!!! Ban this mofo! User DeathPosture nuked. Kidding, cool car.
