  1. Do you mix your songs on speakers or phones? I've found that mixing on speakers (not pro speakers, just regular listening purpose speakers) makes it sound good both in headphones andt the speakers whereas the other way around doesn't work quite that well (when i mix on my headphones the bass seems to kill people if i play it on speakers).
  2. You know the kbps IS the bitrate, of course 600 kbps is lower bitrate than wav (which is about 1400 i thnk?)

    Asia 2001 - Psykadelia

Unbeliavably creative and visual, especially compared with the two other albums i've heard (strange world and amazon).
  8. Athena is Miranda's alter ego on Matsuri productions, and this EP is (despite the label it lies on) pure goa, much in the vein of her Miranda and Ominus releases. There's not really much else to say; if you enjoyed those releases, chances are you will like this one too, however it's far from essential or mind blowing. The "Slave Labour Trance Mix" of Human Vox, though, is particularly good with its slightly darker sound. Overall not so impressive, not many "moments" but solid. Lets give it like 6/10.
  9. Hello everyone! I've bought a new computer, and installed a Creative Soundblaster X-Fi platinum (please, no comments about "that's no music production card" etc grin2). The front panel has MIDI out and MIDI in. My MIDI keyboard has too. However, on my old computer, I used to connect MIDI to the computer via one of those rectangular things, i think you call them joystick ports or something, on the soundcard. So I have no cables with MIDI in both ends. I only have one with MIDI -> joystick (or what it's called) and one MIDI -> joystick -> joystick (but of the other "gender" so to speak, with holes instead of plugs). I tried to connect the two cables, connecting the joystick ends with each other, and putting midi cables in both soundcards. However, now my cubase (se) cannot find any midi device. i.e, when i play notes, nothing happens. I think it finds the midi ports, since Soundblaster X-Fi is listed in midi out/inputs. Anyone knows? Btw, sorry for my bad english, i wrote this kinda fast any help is greatly appreciated.
  10. Synth1 SuperwaveP8 Muon Tau JS16 (might be JX16 or something, i forgot) All freeware.
  11. Great, melancholic album.
  12. I'd guess around 40 that i consider complete or complete enough for listening.
  13. Ov3rdos3, Hallucinogen is a great musician and a VERY skilled producer, at least his Hallucinogen stuff from 97 was quite a bit beyond the others in terms of production. Of course this is my opinion but you can't say he's bad, that's not fair. I'm very surprised if that's your honest opinion. And please, no bullshit about "that's only your opinion BLAH BLAH BLAH" cause you're the one who started by saying "who cares, he IS crap."
  14. Isn't life getting a bit repetitive for you?
  15. Shpongleyes Behind Closed Eyelids
  16. I was about to write this.
  17. Track 5, Karmachanics by Cwithe doesn't really fit with all this melodic goa. But it's a great track. The rest too, of course.
  18. Are you guys crazy? We've already got Land of Freedom and Rezwalker 100 times! These are rare and unreleased tracks (well mostly) which is much better, I think.
  19. Probably something by Steve Roach or Lustmord
  20. I immediately came to think of "New Directions" by Protoculture. It's cheesy.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD515, which are quite good for listening purposes. They can be found for about 100 $ here in Sweden.
