  11. definitly one of the best is penta - lost in space brain accent - orange acid
  12. i haven't read the whole thread but i was just thinking this: don't you think that when compared to other styles like rock 'n roll etc, goatrance only had a very short lifetime? i mean, if you compare, the rock 'n roll bands last longer, and they keep on producing the same music for say 40 yrs for example. don't you think it's weird that the whole 'goa trance' genre had SO many artists, SO many labels, and yet faded out that quick? even if you compare the lifetime of a goa group (let's just call it that way) and a rock 'n roll band, they last a LOT longer! why?
  13. Penta - Frankenstein 2001 finally it is released this is actually a rack from 2001 (DUH) and could be found on the net. now released and remastered. mmmmmmmmmm quality this is. it's in the same style as his first album pentafiles, and resembles 'lot in space' a bit. very very very recommended
  14. *drooooooool* bother waiting one year?
  15. ok ok sorry about the sarcastic part. so you're saying it's worthless to try and recreate a past because it will never be the same? well IMO past is only past if one thinks it of it as past. i think ppl releasing on labels on suntrip are not trying to revive the past, rather picking up a thread that has been abanboned by ppl like you (not that i disrespect your decision). I don't see it as they are trying to match the music that was created in the '90, they are simply continuing the story. Without judging the quality of the music itself, i'm really happy people are doing this, otherwise this particular style of music would have just faded away forever. Even only for that. Offcourse it will never be the same, but at least they are continuing the story that, according to lots of people, should not have stopped around '00. Now i get the feeling, that you think ppl shouldn't be releasing music if it isn't as good as it was back then. I think you, as an artist, should surely respect this. When you released your first track there must have been ppl thinking just the same about your music the way you do about suntrip music now. and yet lot's of ppl liked it (including me ) and now you are part of that past that defines the standards of music on suntrip should meet. So in the end nothing is compareable, and standards are made by yourself.
  16. just out of curiousity mr know-all, how would suntrip be able to succeed?

  23. hi david first off, if you want to make dj'ing your hobby, you might as well do it properly i mean, you're never going to be able to ever play at a party, with a tracktor program, and some mp3 files. so you should first gear up. do you have any original cds? can't dj when you have no music ey.. and second, get rid of tracktor man! have a peek at ebay, there are lots of cheap, and good turntables, and cd-players for sale there (i got mine there too when i first started). personally i think it's a bit dumb to go and take lessons for dj'ing. i think you can better learn to do it on your own, because, for example, you won't hesitate to rewind the track a 1000x times to get that mix right..you would if there's an impatient teacher standing in front of you... and the mixing itself....wel basically it's just 2 rythms you got to match, and the tricky thing there is to hear wich one is faster than the other, or the other way around. only way to learn that part is to try, try, try, and try again. and after that, try more. and finally one good advice: learn to LISTEN to your music, really. mixing is more than beatmatching 2 beats. you got to tell a story to your audience man
